- She dangled her legs off the side of the embankment, doing what she referred to
- as humming. Others that were lucky enough to catch a few notes wouldn't know
- what to call it, except for maybe an earworm, as she had one of those voices
- that drift in and out of your life; coming and leaving at inopportune times.
- The real magic of course, started when she pulled a small, oblong wooden thing
- out of her coat. It was ugly by all definitions, but when she put one of the
- ends to her mouth, the space around her lit up. Music flowed over the once quiet
- stream below, but it wasn't the kind you could put a pen to and write down. Somehow
- it were the wet rocks in the stream, the cicadas in the ground and the wind in
- the trees playing the music; Haruno orchestrating it with her eyes closed and a
- faint smile on her mouth.
- Slowly, things began moving. The wind began to dance with the stream, pulling
- away and pushing towards. Large boulders shuddered, and trees groaned as they
- crescendoed towards a sharp crack; and became silent.
