  137.
  138. DON
  139. Fuck that.
  140.
  141. Don takes out a pair of bolt cutters and cuts the locks off
  142. the shipping container. He keeps his hand on his rifle, turns
  143. on its light, and keeps it trained at the door.
  144.
  145. Don swings the door open.
  146.
  147.

  152. DON
  153. Oh, fuck.
  154.
  155. Children lay on cots inside the container. One bucket sits on
  156. each end of the container. Don covers his mouth and tries to
  157. mask the stench of the container.
  158.
  159. At the very front, a child stands there.
  160.
  161. CHILD
  162. Mama? Это ты?
  163.
  164. DON

  206.
  207. The child falls in front of him. Don struggles to get out of
  208. their grasp as one kicks the back of his leg and brings him
  209. to his knees. He falls forward and lets off a cry of pain as
  210. he falls forward.
  211.

  227.
  228. DON
  229. These are god damn kids!
  230.
  231. MARCUS
  232. Donny, Donny, Donny.
  233.
  234. Don tries to struggle only to get held back as he looks up at
  235. Marcus.
  236.
  237. MARCUS (CONT’D)
  238. Always the pessimist, aren't you?
  239.
  240. Don's eyes widen as he looks behind Marcus at the children on
  241. cots.
  242.
  243. DON
  244. They're in fucking shipping
  245. containers...
  246.
  247. MARCUS
  248. You are standing in front of a

  250. protecting that our bottom line.
  251. Now. You get in our way.
  252.
  253. He reaches into a holster and pulls out a suppressed Ruger
  254. Mark 2 and chuckles.
  255.
  256. MARCUS (CONT’D)
  257. I'm going to kill your daughter and
  258. make you watch.
  259.
  260. He reaches into Don's vest pocket and takes out a picture of
  261. Ash.
  262.
  263. MARCUS (CONT’D)
  264. I've known you awhile buddy.
  265.
  266. Don just watches this.
  267.
  268. MARCUS (CONT’D)
  269. Honestly, capping four of your guys

  274.
  275. Marcus just laughs.
  276.
  277. MARCUS
  278. Can you believe this fucking guy? A

  281.
  282. Don lunges forward but gets pulled back by the two that hold
  283. his arms.
  284.
  285. MARCUS (CONT’D)
  286. You're so cute when you get like
  287. that. Now, what's it gonna be?
  288.
  289. Don goes silent as the anger on his face subsides.
  290.
  291. His face changes to that of disgust.
  292.
  293. DON
  294. I won't talk.
  295.
  296. Marcus reaches into another vest pocket. He takes Don's

  298.
  299. Marcus takes out Don's license snaps a photo of it. He puts

  301.
  302. MARCUS
  303. Pick your shit up and get back to

  305.
  306. The two agents let him go.
  307.
  308. DON
  309. Yeah... Sure.
  310.
  311. The three walk out.
  312.
  313. Don still looks at the container, shock in his eyes.
  314.
  315. The kids in cots line the shipping container as Don stands
  316. back up and walks out.
  317.
  318. The light inside the crate goes away as Don closes it.
  319.

  332.
  333. He wears a suit, the jacket open.
  334.
  335. DAWN "MICHELLE" PAULSEN, (34) walks beside him.

  337. MICHELLE
  338. Well, a lot of things tend to when

  340. damn hero you are.
  341.
  342. Don shrugs.
  343.
  344. DON
  345. If it's just that, then I don't
  346. really deserve it now, do I?
  347.
  348. Michelle rolls her eyes then stops.
  349.
  350. MICHELLE
  351. Honestly? You don't, Mikey.
  352.
  353. DON
  354. Excuse me?
  355.
  356. Michelle pulls out a security card and opens a door for him.
  357.
  358. MICHELLE
  359. First door to the right. Make sure
  360. not to kill anyone along the way.
  361.
  362. Don raises his arms as anger registers on his face.
  363.

  384. Mr. Paulsen. You're going to great
  385. on our team.
  386.
  387. Don shakes his hand and shoots a nervous grin.
  388.
  389. DON
  390. So, what am I going to be doing
  391. exactly? I wasn't really clued in
  392. on that.
  393.

  395. Just security on high value cargo

  398. Don nods.
  399.
  400. DON
  401. Anything I'll need?

  407.
  408. Marcus shoots a warm smile to him.
  409.

  438.
  439. Don walks down as Michelle approaches him.
  440.
  441. MICHELLE
  442. How'd it go, Mikee?
  443.
  444. Don shrugs and walks with her.
  445.
  446. DON
  447. Okay, given the circumstances.
  448.
  449. MICHELLE
  450. He seems to like you.

  461.
  462. Don just shoots a look of confusion at her.
  463.
  464. DON
  465. Why can't you see things for how
  466. they are? It's always the same with
  467. you-
  468.
  469. Gunshots ring out as people start to run away through the

  491.
  492. MICHELLE
  493. Fine, be that way then!
  494.

  498. DON
  499. I'm gonna die, I'm gonna fucking
  500. die, I'm gonna fucking die...
  501.
  502. Don stops and looks at an armed security guard. The guard
  503. holds his leg as his blood pools around him. In the other, he
  504. holds a Beretta and trains it in the direction people run
  505. from.
  506.
  507. He slumps over and drops his gun.
  508.
  509. Don makes his way over to him and looks at his belt. A
  510. tourniquet sits on it. He takes it out and cuts off the
  511. bleeding gunshot wound.
  512.
  513. DON (CONT’D)
  514. This guy's gonna make it. I'm not.

  563. Hey!
  564.
  565. Craig turns the gun on Don.
  566.
  567. Don fires two shots at him, the deafening sound of gunfire
  568. echoing through the halls office
  569.
  570. The office window behind Don breaks as he crawls forward.
  571.
  572. DON (CONT’D)
  573. (muttering)
  574. Well, fuck.
  575.
  576. CRAIG
  577. You got no part in this, get the
  578. fuck out of here!
  579.
  580. Craig's gun dry clicks as Don stands up.

  582. Craig loads a magazine and rides it forward.
  583.
  584. The two take aim at each other.
  585.
  586. Don squeezes the trigger, firing one shot into Craig's
  587. throat.
  588.
  589. Craig manages to get a shot off, hitting Don in the shoulder.
  590.
  591. Silence.
  592.
  593. Don bleeds from his shoulder as two officers, Parks and
  594. Hawkins walk in. He throws the gun on the ground, his hands
  595. up.
  596.
  597. He looks down at his shoulder and blacks out.
  598.
  599. FADE TO BLACK.
  600.

  609. DON
  610. (mouthing)
  611. ...Jackie, don't leave...
  612.
  613. Blood runs down the side of his arm.
  614.
  615. Michelle stabs something into his arm. Don lets out a scream
  616. of pain as he sucks in air. His pulse begins to race as she
  617. shouts something.
  618.
  619. Don's breathing begins to normalize as he looks at his arm,
  620. covered in blood.
  621.
  622. His hearing returns.
  623.
  624. MICHELLE
  625. GET UP!
