- Madison, WI:
- The Police Have Chosen To Arrest Protesters Asserting Their Right To Demand The Arrest of Killer Cop Matt Kenny
- Happening NOW on the corner of Doty and Carroll
- The Police have decided to arrest people peacefully assembled to protest the DA's failure to charge killer cop matt kenny for the assassination of unarmed teen Tony Robinson.
- Let this be an example of proof that the priorities of the criminal justice system in Madison are not to protect and serve the people, but to protect and serve those with the power, privilege and authority to exercise violence toward Black and Brown folks with impunity.
- WE CANNOT LET THIS CONTINUE!
- We cannot continue to allow those who suffer from poverty - who suffer from state violence - to be criminalized, jailed and murdered while murderers and perpetrators of state violence with the right connections live and roam freely to oppress.
- This is why the PEOPLE of Madison have spoken out to Demand Community Control of the Police.
- Please sign and share our petition to the United Nations for an independent investigation into the murder of Tony Robinson and the gross racial disparities in Dane County:

- YGB Supporters Block Jail Doors
- Today, YGB held a people's court today and decided that "If Matt Kenny is not going to be arrested and brought to jail, then no one should be, especially no Black people." Allies and accomplices are currently putting their bodies on the line by locking themselves to both entrances of the Dane County Jail. They are physically shutting down state violence. Here is their statement:
- "As allies and accomplices of the Young Gifted and Black Coalition, we demand that the state violence enacted daily on Black people here in Madison stops today."
- Madison, as a city, has an arrest disparity of 11 to 1 for its Black residents compared to its white residents. This disparity is not the result of any one person: one corrupt judge, one bad cop. This is the result of a racist system designed to impoverish and incarcerate Black people.
- If the "justice" system in this county will not indict a police officer who shot an unarmed black youth seven times, it is certainly not fit to try any Black person charged with a crime. There are 350 Black people incarcerated for crimes of poverty in Madison who need to be freed. If Matt Kenny will not be arrested today, no one will be. The system of mass incarceration and violence needs to stop now.
- The racial disparities in this city were made evident, again, yesterday with the District Attorney's decision to not indict Matt Kenny. The city of Madison has shown that it is not accountable to its Black residents. We demand that Dane County release 350 Black people from the jail incarcerated for crimes of poverty.
- This action is part of Black Out Wednesday which is a kick off of actions for Madison's role in Black Spring where actions will be taking place across the country to call for an end to police violence like we have seen inflicted on Tony Robinson with no justice served.
- No Justice. No Peace.
