Links

Links are the weapons made by the first King of Rai, whose name was Rai. He was born under an ancient tribe leader, and was essentially destined for greatness. After he made his empire and solidified the borders, he wanted something to outlast and protect this empire from ever falling, so ultimately he decided to make mass weapons. These weapons of course led to more mass expansion, but recently the Rai has lost a bit of territory on all sides since a fair amount of the Links were lost or spread among the nation recently.

These weapons are powerhouses unlike anything else, and easily make anyone practically superhuman. As well as potentially being a catalyst for magic, hence why psuedo-arms were created. Psuedo-arms themselves are simply catalysts where a human has do to all the work. However with the links, they aren't any use catalysts unfortunately, for most weapons fall under a single element or type and several elements don't go well, and with Links they certainly won't mix well.

Speaking of affinities, you can't just willy nilly use any Link that you see fit, you actually have to have a good affinity with the link as well, since most of them are somewhat alive to a degree. They can reject you if they wish, which makes finding wielders sometimes extremely difficult. Their affinity isn't necessarily elemental as well, for it can also just be your personality or what you believe overall. These links are alive to a degree.

Links don't have to be just weapons either, for there are links that act as armor as well, and these adapt to their wielders to fit their physique, and in some cases can actually evolve, being significantly more active and alive than the other links. There are also links that are simply sensory, or do magic by themselves. Or, if you're ballsy enough there's a few Links that are achieved permanently by drinking blood from an S or above class beast that has been put in a chalice itself that is a Link for the sole purpose of that. Of course, the blood from those beasts is rare. However, you don't even have to drink all of the blood within the chalice, because as long as you survive however much is in the chalice that you drank, it'll bestow a tattoo on you that shows what you've done.

No one knows what every link does, but people certainly try, for there are several books of rumored links and such that have come and gone. The Revolution is currently keeping a book as well, and collected information on any they find as well as developing a storage for them until they can find users among their ranks.

Links themselves are actually made from high ranking Ominox, or rather S-Class and above Ominox, the strongest and rarest of the Ominox. Of course, some Ominox may alter their wielders overtime, as well as vice versa.
