  1. first off get your avi pic. CROP IT TO A SQUARE. SAVE IT AS A PNG. make sure it's bigger than 100x100, though anything bigger than 200x200 tends to look better. IF YOU UPLOAD A JPG EM COMPRESSES IT INTO ASS QUALITY NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE ACTUAL PIC POOKS. so upload as png.

  3. lucid is a moron so if your avi has the same name as a previously uploaded one it'll upload the old one. so make sure it has a new name. same goes for bgs.

  5. how to gif avi:
  6. get your gif and crop it. this doesn't need to be a square bc it'll stretch to fill the icon box, though abuse the stretch wisely, only if a perfect square crop doesn't include everything you want in the pic. you can have it be transparent, but note that gifs are either 0% or 100% opacity and do not support anything inbetween. resize it to anything above 100x100. make it as big as you can as long as the file size stays under 700kb. anything larger won't upload. (though you can upload much bigger stuff as a normal avi for some reason)
  7. download this program https://notepad-plus-plus.org/repository/7.x/7.4.1/npp.7.4.1.bin.zip (installation-free)
  8. open your gif in that program and scroll to the very end. replace the last semicolon with this pastebin.com/C4zKJMjZ . no space no line break just replace. save as>all files. give it a unique name, type .jpg at the end of the name.
  9. first upload a regular static avi. it's what's gonna show in chat games etc. then upload the jpgged gif. it'll say error but clear cache and it should show, as long as it's under 700kb.

  11. sexe avi:
  12. you can do the same thing for static avis to make them look sexy hq on your profile. this is bc gif avis don't get fuglycompressed and instead just scaled to fill the 100x100 avi box so it'll look better than a regular png.
  13. take you decently sized static avi and make it a gif. use ezgif.com or gifcreator.me to do this. just upload it as a single frame.
  14. the color indexing sometimes needs adjustment so use gimp instead if you have it. image>mode>indexed. set colors to 256, try each of the dithering options to maximize quality. to save it as an animation duplicate the layer, export as gif.
  15. do the same np++ hax as you would to a moving gif. for some reason this gets finicky with dimensions so make sure it's not huge even if it is under 700kb.
  16. upload a static first.
  17. you can do this for family avis too (though moving gifs don't work). im p sure the size limit is smaller tho. under 400x400 px should work fine.
