  9. I'm just gonna drop this right here because why not. Here's part 6 of "Two Worlds Collide" by yours truly~
  10.
  11. -Al's POV-
  12. "Al...it suits you. I can relate to liking a nickname over your real name."
  13. >'Well, this answer was a bit unexpected although I do appreciate the unpredictable.'
  14. >The radio host got a little closer to Charlie.
  15. >"What's wrong with Charlotte? It's a rather pleasant name if I do say so myself."
  16. 'Why did I say this? We just met and am I really telling him about this?'
  17. "I just... have some bad experiences about my real name but it's alright if you call me Charlotte."
  18. >Al noticed how Charlie cringed a little despite her smile and decided not to probe about some very personal questions. At least not yet as that wouldn't do.
  19. >"Well that's alright with me, Charlie's still a name I'm fond of. Anyways, why don't I show you more around here. You seemed lonely and could use a helping hand!"
  20. >There it is, a genuine full smile that Al was looking for.
  21. >Al felt a sense of pride knowing he caused this and continued to observe Charlie.
  22. -
  23. >As Al was talking to Charlie, he didn't notice his rumbling stomach and his nails digging into his palm.
  24. >'Now it seems I got her in my sight. Time to set the final trap for the game in the hunt...'
  25. >"After all, nobody, especially someone as new as you, deserves to walk by these parts without a companion but I understand if you want to continue your stroll alone."
  26. >Al can tell by looking into her eyes that she wanted him to accompany her.
  27. >'She's been now lured in...Now, I simply need to convince her to follow me into the more secluded areas near the woods, use the chloroform, and take her to the cabin.'
  28. >Al sees that Charlie backed off a little and controlled his smile again to mask his true emotions.'
  29. "Al, are you okay," Charlie asked out of concern.
  30. >"I'm very alright dear. I'd say even more than normal ah ha ha ha. Anyhow, so what do you say about my offer to help?~"
  31. >The charismatic man sees that Charlie tensed up a bit and gets closer to her.
  32. >It looked like she saw a ghost given how pale she looked right now.
  33. "Um, I'm sorry, it was nice to meet you but I really need to go. I hope I can see you again."
  34. -
  35. >'No. NO! What is the meaning of this? Did she discover my true intentions? I need to stop her but if I do, she'll get suspicious and it's too risky for that anyway. Too many witnesses here...'
  36. >'Alright Al, it seems I'm going to have to settle for less than ideal prey. Darn it all...'
  37. >'But...I suppose this is alright too. The chase makes the result much more desirable and satisfying. Well played Charlotte...well played.'
  38. >Alexander nods and listens to Charlie.
  39. >"Alright. I understand you must be busy as I'm a pretty busy man myself. I suppose we'll meet again by the nearby cafe and oh! One more thing before you take off."
  40. >Al takes out a small card showing a radio station and his name as a radio host.
  41. >"Take this if you want to listen to my broadcasts anytime soon, dear."
  42. >Charlie looks at Al's eyes and accepts the card.
  43. "Thanks Al. I really need to go but I promise I'll listen to your broadcasts soon. Anyways, it was nice knowing you and I hope you have a great day today. Bye!"
  44. -
  45. >The smiling man slowly reached out his hand to wave bye to Charlie.
  46. >As Charlie was gone, Al looked down at his scratched palm.
  47. >'You may had been spared today but like the other prey I devoured, your luck will eventually run out. Until then, enjoy it and savor it for you had truly caught my attention.'
  48. >Al looks at Charlie running out of the shop and looks at his surroundings.
  49. >The crowd has lessened with many groups most likely going back home to either party or sleep. Only very few people remained at this hour.
  50. >'Well this place doesn't exactly have what I wanted right now but this will do. I usually have much more class than this but hunger can do things to a man."
  51. >Al sees a young lad, absinthe bottle in hand, barely keeping himself up as he stumbles into a dumpster by an alleyway across the street.
  52. >The serial killer walks out of the shop and looks around.
  53. -
  54. >Most of the people were already gone during this hour which left the few, unlucky ones available as targets.
  55. >Al notices most of the remaining people in the area went back to their apartments as it was getting very late outside.
  56. >The cannibal's face went from that of an everyday man to a frightening, contorted visage that could best be described as almost demonic.
  57. >Al sees the man struggling to get up and sees it as a time to strike.
  58. >"How do you do, my drunken fellow?"
  59. >The cannibal spoke in a voice with a smug tone that contained some elements of malice if one were to listen clearly enough.
  60. "Hey chap...'ave any directions 'round 'ere? Need help."
  61. >Alastor takes out a handkerchief out of his pocket and forces it onto the other man's face.
  62. >It was all thrilling for him. Very few things in Alexander's existence could compare to giving him an adrenline rush like this. Events like this can never get old or stale to Al.
  63. >The man tried to fight off the cannibal to defend himself but Al refused to back down.
  64. >As a way of gaining the upper hand, Al used his left hand to look in his pants pocket for a small knife. Afterwards, he stabbed the tendons in the arms so they can't move to fight back.
  65. >Al was enjoying his futile struggle to stay alive only for the man to finally pass out from the chloroform.
  66. >"Now, time to carry you back with me to my little cabin, 'ey old chap.'"
  67. >Al scoops up the unconscious victim and brings him to the trunk of his car.
  68. >'Time to drive back to home sweet home. Maybe I can have my meal with some fava beans and a nice chianti...'
  69. -
  70. >As Al got in the car and drove back to the woods, away from the city, he thought of a particular blonde dame and could've sworn he felt a tange of...guilt?
  71. >He furrowed his brows and focused on the road.
  72. >'I shouldn't think of her too much. As intriguing as she is, I have to focus on making dinner in a few minutes! Maybe then, I can think about our little game of cat and mouse later..."
  73.
  74. Here's the end for part 6 for "Two Worlds Collide" and wow this was a bit longer than expected. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this and this is inspiring me to make some fanart for this. Stay tuned, folks and Cursed Anon, out!
