- 3. (considering the worst scenario before a megababby aka 15 teams) There should be at least 50% chance of escaping it
- Example1:
- 12 teams scenario
- >applying rule 1: 4-4-4 or 3-3-3-3
- >applying rule 2: no need to bailout
- >applying rule 3: this rule gives flexibility here: /merit/ should vote/decide between a 4-4-4 or 3-3-3-3 where 8 teams get promoted or giving free passes to 4 teams resulting in a 8 teams fetus with 4 spots available.
- Example2:
- 14 teams scenario
- >applying rule 1: no format available: 5-5-4 or 4-4-3-3 aren't possible
- >applying rule 2: 2 teams bailout: 4-4-4 (or 3-3-3-3)
- >applying rule 3: 50% of 12 is 6 so the format is setted (top 2 from each of 4-4-4 group)
- Note: if it's confirmed we are going to have 41 teams this cup but the megababby format will not be used so the 50% chance will get ignored to guarantee even groups and fair advancement conditions between teams.
- Example: 17 teams
- >applying rule 1: Prime Number aka no format available
- >applying rule 2: single bailout: 4-4-4-4 available
- >applying rule 3: rule 3 can't be applied here because of larger number of teams competing: 16teams for 7 spots in 4-4-4-4 where top1 is guaranteed and best3 seconds/playoffs
