58. Five years after the end of "Dragon Ball", Son Gokû reunites with his friends, bringing along his four-year old son, Gohan. Son Gohan is not like his father; he'd rather study than fight. Raditz, a warrior from space lands on earth searching for someone named "Kakarotto". He reveals himself as Raditz of the Saiyajin, the older brother of Kakarotto! And Kakarotto turns out to be Son Gokû! With two other Saiyajin coming to earth, can Gokû and the Z Warriors withstand the onslaught!?
 59. The adventures of Earth's martial arts defender Son Goku continue with a new family and the revelation of his alien origin. Now Goku and his allies must defend the planet from an onslaught of new extraterrestrial enemies.
 60. Augh. This is by far the worst anime I have ever seen in my life. It is mindnumbingly slow-paced; I have found it is a great alternative to sleeping pills, in terms of putting people to sleep. Sure, it has action, but most of the so-called "action" resembles an overblown staring contest with energy blasts and auras of power. If you are new to anime, I recommend finding a much better series, like getting fansubs of some of the older Gundam shows. Not only is the plot of those better, the animation is!
 61. Now, when I first saw this show advertised on Cartoon Network, I was like, "This is so stupid". But I really forgave the show, and after I started becoming more involved and learning about the plot, I have come to the conclusion that this is an enjoyable show. The thing is, in order to like it, you need to learn to accept the "alternate-world" to enjoy it. And yes, a lot of people are right. The fights last for many episodes, and the villians never seem to die, and such. But there's so many complex characters all with different backgrounds and personalites, that you kind of forget it. I mean, if you want to see an anime with repetiveness and confusion, see that dang "Yu-Gi-Oh!".

With the arrogance of Vegeta, the smart-aleckyness of Trunks and Goten, and the funny child-like character of Mr. Buu/Fat Buu, it's quite enjoyable. The villians are cool, and it's nice when they find a villian that's really so evil they're entertaining.(especially Babidi, he's such a wicked little troll^_^?) Although I was wondering how many times they would have Vegeta become GOOD before he actually BECAME GOOD, he is indeed one of the finest characters. I'm glad they did alot with him, though I wished they'd do more, such as tell how he married Bulma. Anyway, try to catch it. "Dragonball GT" sounds stupid, but I'll have to watch it sometime. An 8/10.

 63. The original Japanese anime never made such a mistake, nor the dubbings made straight from japanese (like the Mexican dubb, used in all Latinamerica).

Commander Red was the leader of the Red Ribbon Army. In fact, Dr. Gero never appears once in the first Dragon Ball anime. Obviously Toriyama hadn't even invented Gero at the time he was doing the original Dragon Ball, so you might say he was a "behind the scenes" character that simply invented things for the army. He was certainly not in any sort of leadership position. Dragon Ball consists of 153 episodes, 3 movies, and 1 tenth-anniversary movie.

Dragon Ball Z consists of 291 episodes, 13 movies, 2 television specials, 1 "lost movie" comprised of footage from an obscure FMV game, and a 20th anniversary movie.

Dragon Ball GT consists of 64 episodes and 1 television special.

Dragon Ball Kai consists of 98 episodes by the time of Cell Saga.

Dragon Ball Super is currently airing and the total number of episodes is still unknown. The anime is paced far slower than the manga, and features a number of "filler" episodes and one entire filler "Saga", that weren't in the original manga. These had to be added into the anime to keep pace with the release of the manga, which was still being put out as the anime was being made. As these fillers were created with only minimal involvement with Akira Toriyama, they often contradict major plot points of the series. For instance, the entire Garlic Jr. Saga was a creation of Toei Animation, and does not appear at all in Toriyama's manga. Some filler segments are merely fights from the manga that are extended, as well as drawn-out extended scenes of characters powering up. Amusingly, most of the complaints people have about the show stem from anime-only filler and aren't problems that exist in the original manga. Japanese anime like Dragon Ball Z, is not divided in "Seasons" during it's broadcasting. a5c7b9f00b
