Recent riots in Tash-Murkon Prime have thrown the Heir House into the spotlight once again. It has been reported through an inside source that the family has been siphoning taxes from many large independent businesses throughout the Tash-Murkon region, and rerouting the funds directly into its own personal wallet for extravagant luxuries such as fedo milk and amarrian wine.

These uprisings have yet to have any official statement from the Amarrian Empress, Catiz Tash-Murkon, who many believe may also be involved with the scandal.

Recent targets of attacks have been a number of space stations owned by the Tash-Murkon family in the Tash-Murkon Prime system.
Due to these disturbances, taxes in the area have risen by a significant margin, leaving some investors and traders out in the cold, and with stocks of food now going to waste due to the rise in taxes and thusly prices, the poor among the local population are taking up arms against the wealthier.

So far these riots have stayed localized within the Tash-Murkon Prime system, but if they are not addressed soon, and the Heir House family of Tash-Murkon brought in to make a statement regarding their actions, it can be expected to worsen and potentially have a larger impact on the Amarr Empire as a whole.

The Minmatar Republic has of course taken note of recent events and are taking advantage of the situation by ambushing and destroying cargo freighters of supplies for the hungry in an attempt to fan the flames of these protests.
The Gallente Federation has condemned the actions of the Minmatar Republic in a statement earlier today saying that “The Gallente Federation will not sit back and allow people to go hungry in the cluster”.

The protests continue.
