  15. Yo, SL, it's MG, back again with an unorthodox MOTW. Worry not, my friends, this is NOT a competitive moveset, but rather an S.O.S. chainer or Pokédex helper. Bisharp, while regarded as a fearsome foe in OU, can also be one of your greatest allies in the singleplayer side of Pokémon; Pokémon's PvE, if you will.
  16.
  17. Bisharp is a magnificent Pokémon for late-game "PvE" as it has access to False Swipe and Pressure, as well as having decent bulk and a Steel typing. As such, Bisharp is a great go-to Pokémon for S.O.S. battle chaining, EV training, Pokédex hunting, etc. The combination of Pressure and False Swipe allows Bisharp to make opposing Pokémon call for help nearly every turn after using an Adrenaline Orb, of course. Pair this with Bisharp's handy resistances to 9 types commonplace among wild Pokémon and access to a status move that will stop the opposing Pokémon from calling friends, and you have a prime chainer!
  18.
  19. While the EVs and Nature aren't horribly important once it gets past a decent level, Adamant paired with max HP and Attack maximizes Bisharp's offensive and bulky capabilities, useful for taking on the armies S.O.S. battles make you face. Should you be hunting for Items held by wild Pokémon, not holding an Item is what you should go for; however, if you aren't, holding Leftovers can help get rid of the incessant damage you take from the Pokémon you're hunting/chaining.
  20.
  21. False Swipe is practically mandatory on a Pokémon used to chain/hunt wild Pokémon, as it can't knock out the opponent and also makes it far more likely for a wild Pokémon to initiate an S.O.S. chain. Thunder Wave is useful for both making things easier to catch, as well as stopping Pokémon from calling more of their infinite army of friends in an S.O.S. battle. Metal Claw, while coming up to only a relatively small 50 base power, is the ideal move for a hunting Bisharp as it has 35 PP unboosted. The 50 power will still be enough to knock out most Pokémon once Bisharp is high enough level, anyways. Thief is used as the fourth move to steal desired items from wild Pokémon (having a Compound Eyes Pokémon fainted in the lead can help with this), but it can easily be replaced by something else should you desire something else for hunting.
  22.
  23. Other than that, there's not much else necessary to say about this MOTW. Having a False Swipe Aegislash may assist you in chaining/hunting Fighting-type Pokémon, but other than that, Bisharp should be able to handle everything on its own, especially at Lv100. I hope this guide helps you out in your Pokémon-hunting escapades, and best of luck on your next hunt!
