  1. "Mhm!" She hummed and nodded her head. It wasn't a surprise that Brenton wasn't knowledged on Elemental summoning, not many others were aside from those in Cinderfall who knew Thom.
  2.
  3. And there she was, his former adopted daughter pursuing the very art he grasped in life. Vivica looked to Brenton for a moment with a smile. The young woman's tone had been quite friendly.
  4.
  5. "Yes. An art Thom was able to perfect in life. He had a lightning elemental named Indra who held me sometimes back in Loranthis when I was younger. I've got the research I need, but now I just need mental strengthening to help gain a connection." Vivica stated before looking away.
  6.
  7. "The connection is the key. Probably why I'm failing at summoning just a simple elemental. I'm looking to bring out a storm elemental from Uraheim, Land of the Water, within the spirit realm. A single elemental made up of three singular elementals, just like the storms I can create, to become one power. I think an elemental like that needs to have a stronger connection to summon it, therefore.. I need meditation practice to strengthen myself mentally, Brenton."
  8.
  9. Vivica's tone was calm, soothing, and smooth. Her breathing was steady and her eyes closed to clear her mind, but even if she wanted to begin meditating, allowing Brenton to talk was a best option too. Listening to what he had to say, even if they were troubles, was always nice.
  10.
  11. "Though.. I'm interested in knowing what's all been going on with you. I haven't seen you for so long, you've got to tell me everything you've been doing."
  12. (Vivica Loirdne)
  13. Brenton nods. He may not know much but he was now going to find out. His interest piqued like always when he came across something he was unfamiliar with. Vivica knew he was intellectual at heart and a warrior second and only mostly by force. Though his genius had helped often in his battles, perhaps more times than he truly cared to count.
  14.
  15. A soft hum escapes his lips, his fingers still toying with the Cinderfall crest. He too could easily slip into mediation right now; mental strength was always important. Meditation was something he had done oft with Liara. In fact, it was the last thing they had done together.
  16.
  17. The sudden memory causes a look of pain to flash across his face for a brief moment. He still had not had the proper time to grief over any of the deaths he had faced, he was just mostly numb to the pain at this point, the rage.
  18.
  19. Taking a breath Brenton shrugs.
  20.
  21. "Not much to be totally honest. I left shortly after the ordeal with that Ookami. Had a spar with my dad and chose to seek new power. To get stronger, to better be able to do what needs done. I came across some interesting stuff, though I also began to question a lot of things. Which reminds me I wanted to ask you something"
  22.
  23. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  24. He wanted to ask her something, but the ordeal with the ookami? She knew Brenton was likely referring to Nackress, the very dog she placed a bounty on whose mother is in contact with her about it.
  25.
  26. Though she didn't press on to ask if it had been he who Brenton spoke of. From the waters just before the two of them, she let her sights fall back on his mixed hues with a tilt of her head.
  27.
  28. "Hm? What do you need to ask, Brenton?" Vivica, for now, didn't bother to make a remark towards the spar with Sirus or what sorts of things he had questioned for now. She was moreso curious about what he needed to ask.
  29. (Vivica Loirdne)
  30. Brenton blushes for a moment. He didn't know how to ask really without going into too much detail about his fears. He had done so with Batkem but that was because he didn't have a real personal relationship with the Spriggan. Vivica was different because of how close he was with her, which was weird. You would think that made things easier but for some reason it didn't.
  31.
  32. Taking a breath, his hand would move off the hero crest and run through his hair.
  33.
  34. "Well, I found some information that I want to pursue about some lost items. I'm not sure what they are but from what I know they are powerful. I want to find them. But it's very dangerous. In other words, I need help. I want you to come"
  35. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  36. Vivica Loirdne: <*doesn't mind the blushing, but she nods her head*> You didn't even have to ask me to know that I was going to say yes to helping you, Brenton. Of course you have my aid!
  37. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: I know I ddin't but I had to at least make sure you knew about it <*Laughs*>
  38. Vivica Loirdne: <*laughs with him*> Did you find the information while you were away? Who else is coming to help? <*smiles*>
  39. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: I did.
  40. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: A map leading to the trove.
  41. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Along with other things about the man who made and owned the weapons.
  42. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: So far, only your mother.
  43. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: I want to ask my dad.
  44. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Kassina, and Rapheal.
  45. Vivica Loirdne: <*nods head*> I see. Assuming my mother said yes. <*smiles wider*> I haven't gotten a chance to talk with Kassina.. and it's been awhile since I talked to Raphael. They seem perfect for coming. <*nods head*>
  46. Vivica Loirdne: So, now for meditating, right? Or.. did you have more to talk about?
  47. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Mhm, She did say yes..in exhange for helping her with some tihngs..
  48. Vivica Loirdne: Oh! Helping her with.. what?
  49. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: She uh...Wants to expand into the caves..
  50. Vivica Loirdne: The city?
  51. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: And seeing a I'm Cinderfalls only earth magi.
  52. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Yeah...to clear it out and make more room for the city.
  53. Vivica Loirdne: Oh! I see. <*laughs*> My mom has a lot of crazy ideas, but I love to hear about her wanting to help the city too. I uh.. wish I knew she wanted to do that.
  54. Vivica Loirdne: <*sighs*>
  55. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: I mean...if you talked to her..
  56. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Oh, I uh..don't mean it like that.
  57. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Sorry.
  58. Vivica Loirdne: <*frowns*> It's.. fine. She's.. ya.
  59. Vivica Loirdne: <*silences and looks away to close her eyes*>
  60. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: <*Blinks*>
  61. Vivica Loirdne: I uh.. guess we should get to meditating?
  62. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Anyway...meditating would be best for after a spar.
  63. Vivica Loirdne: <*nods head and comes to stand up*> Sure. A spar it is then.
  64. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: <*Stand as well grabbing the blade off his back*>
  65. Now standing with the blade held at his side Brenton would smile, his mixed hues shining. It had been awhile since he had gotten any type of good spar. Let alone against Vivica. And now she had the power of storms she had been building up for so long. Brenton wondered just how strong this power was in battle, and how he matched up. Last time they fought they had been evenly matched every time, but now she had this new power. Would he still be able to hold his own fairly?
  66.
  67. Taking a deep breath to prepare himself Brenton hefts his mother's blade up, the wind begins to swirl around him, ruffling his jacket and hair. An oft unused magic for he never got anywhere close to mastery of it, but it added dramatic effect and some fun was always good for this types of things.
  68.
  69. Holyfire wraps itself around his body as he fully faces Vivica, the knightly determined glare he always held in battle now aimed at her. Time may change all things, but there was some things that just never changed.
  70.
  71.
  72. "Alright Vivica, as usual between us, no holding back. Show me the power of the storm"
  73.
  74. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  75.
  76. Vivica Loirdne rolled a dice and it landed on: 6
  77.
  78. His words hurt a little, but again she needed the mental strength to overcome such little worries. Vivica found herself walking into the more wide, open ranged around with her scythe in one hand and the other extended out.
  79.
  80. "There's a time and place for everything.. so.. let's try this again." She whispered to herself and shut her eyes. This was going to be the fifth attempt she'd take in order to summon a storm elemental. Something small that flopped much like the first one Thom summoned, according to his journal.
  81.
  82. "I can do this." Again she whispered and within her mind seconds later, the door appeared and her hand was placed on it. The images of the lesser elemental again popped into her mind. She repeated its appearance. What it was to look like.
  83.
  84. Vivica was calm. She hadn't meditated yet, but perhaps here and now she'd find herself successful with establishing a connection with it. Therefore, she reached her hand in. For a fifth time.
  85.
  86. Thunder began to crack above in the sky as clouds were drawing in. Vivica was calm. She breathed in. Her entire body was relaxed in the place she stood. And with pulling out her hand, she opened her eyes..
  87.
  88. (Rolled 6 - first summon) Lightning zapped in her grasp. Vivica's palm faced towards the sky, but within her hand that was held? She could feel it. The flopping of the elemental within her hand. Water dripped through her fingers from the little creature. It was as she had imagined it. Successful before her own eyes. "Perfect." She stated. While deep down she was excited, she kept her posture. If calm meant success, then this was how each encounter needed to be. Being calm, she was at her strongest of mind. Just like Ciel always intended for her to be.
  89.
  90. CALM.
  91.
  92. Now to battle with it? Did the elemental have a use besides flopping around? It was a tiny thing, but still in her hand, Vivica observed the creature. Their connection was sealed, right? She had summoned it herself.
  93.
  94. Water began to flal from the sky. "You've got to help me in battle now, little one." She spoke softly and calmly to it. Bright zaps of lightning could be seen from its very form, almost like she was talking to a misty ball with lightning, which was technically how it was and started out to be.
  95.
  96. From the tiny elemental and to Brenton, she smiled. "We'll both show you the power of the storm, Brenton." She spoke in a calm manner. Even if the elemental couldn't help her much here, she'd train it over time.
  97.
  98. Winds began to envelope her form and the elemental was placed upon the ground, continuing to flop around. Almost pathetic, but however it might help, or be placed aside to watch its summoner in battle for experience and gain, this would do it some good.
  99.
  100. "I'm ready to go." Lightning cracked around her form and through the cloud forming over her appearance. She was prepared.

  112. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  113. Vivica watched the little elemental flop off to the side. The creature's faint, glowing blue eyes were easily seen through its translucent body. Water dripped lightning from its form and into the grass. It was only approximately one foot or shorter in height. Nothing more than a tiny creature whose connection she needed to strengthen as well as allow it to grow experience.
  114.
  115. Would watching its summoner battle help it gain a better understanding of her ties to the storms? This was, afterall, just a young storm elemental. It needed to grow and experience combat and the world with her now.
  116.
  117. So, without hesitation, Vivica went into battle with Brenton. Fire magic between the both were exchanged, beams of water pushed back the man from her while she rode along in the midst of tornados to deal minor damage, but the majority of her damage might have come from her lightning ablilities!
  118.
  119. Blow after blow against each other and damage being taken with ease and slightly healed thanks to water, Vivica has downed Brenton with the use of lightning bursting from her body to shock him away.
  120.
  121. Silver eyes glanced to the little elemental before falling back towards Brenton. She remained calm. Cracks of lightning increased in the sky above, as did the rain falling below them. Winds blew quite a lot between the two of them.
  122.
  123. "What are your thoughts so far?"
  124. (Vivica Loirdne)
  125. Brenton watches as Vivica summons the elemental. His eyes filled with awed. The tiny creature was just a little thing but seeing the summoning was still incredible. There was no time for pleasantries however, the fight started. The power of the storms Vivica now held was indeed incredible. Brenton danced around the field tossing spell after spell, fire crashing against wind and earth colliding with water.
  126.
  127. Her lightning bashes into him as well as his own striking her. Holy magic serves to heal him in the midst of battle and fuel his attacks. But in the end, it is simply not enough. With her new power Vivica gains the upper hand much quicker then she had in the past.
  128.
  129. Brenton finds himself pushed back by a blast of lightning. Fearing getting too hurt he allows himself to hold back for a moment.
  130.
  131. "It's beautiful"
  132.
  133. Is all he can say in regard to what he thought so far. And indeed it was. But he wasn't done yet. He had to prove himself. To show that he could stand against stronger opponents and give them hell. Calm, he had to clear his own mind. His old tricks weren't going to work here, not now. He had to be crafty, to figure out how to counter her magic.
  134.
  135. Calm, yet his power was one that required aggression to be affective. It was an odd balance. Yet it was one he was so used to. Being too calm would keep himself from being able to strike with enough force, yet if he was too aggressive then….he would lose rash thought and fall too far into anger.
  136.
  137. Sighing Brenton would nod. Break time was over. Moving forward a bit Brenton would heft his blade up once more.
  138.
  139. "Mother, Pyra, Liara…guide me"
  140.
  141. He whispers under his breath as his mixed hues close for a moment. When they are closed more deep breaths are taken. He connects himself with the world around him, using mana to sense the area, not true connection of course but feeling the flow of the mana around them all rather than that of just what was contained within himself.
  142.
  143. His aura flares even brighter, the fire around him glowing hotter as he draws in energy from what he feels. Allowing all the emotions associated with each of his elements to flood into him. Anger, joy, excitement, hope and protection, love, stalwart determination, it all fills his mind.
  144.
  145.
  146. When he opens his eyes, the hues are no longer mixed. Both are red. But not just a calm red, a deep glowing red. He pierces her with his knightly glare once more. And then without warning, Brenton charges.
  147. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)

  157. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  158. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  159. As he charges Brenton doesn't give Vivica time to even think. A wave of golden fire rushes at her, the charge is followed through a great outburst of golden lightning. Brenton then jumps backwards as he fires more spells at Vivica. He dances around the field, golden glowing energy flying off his body, his pattern is…like a dance. A very deadly dance. Emotions pour into his attacks, fueling them over more. The power of symbolic casting evident in the force of his blows.
  160.
  161. Vivica is not without her merit though, she fights hard. But this round Brenton not only fights hard but smart. Finding ways to counter her magic, dodging and weaving in and out of spells. Rolling away or simply buffeting her back whenever she gets close. Healing whenever she does manage to do any substantial damage.
  162.
  163. He gains the upper hand rather quickly, and is merciless when it comes to ending the round. Orbs of golden fire form around, ten, twenty, no thirty, thirty glowing balls of Holyfire begin to float in the air around him.
  164.
  165. Brenton summons a holy earth first and flings it at Vivica, rotting her in place. The balls fly forward, pounding into her. He isn't dumb though and doesn't aim to actually harm her too bad. Only ten of the thirty actually find their mark. The others land around her, forming craters in the ground, the earth shifting as he pours mana into it to rumble her surroundings.
  166.
  167. The fire fades and once more the sword is hefted. The newly glowing red eyes piercing the downed Vivica with that ever-present determined stare.
  168.
  169. "Up"
  170. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  171. The amalgamation of her magics, as he stated, was beautiful. The creation of storms at her own will; perfection.
  172.
  173. The man prepared himself for battle and immediately charged in at her. Vivica's reaction was slow. It had been a good while since she battled Brenton and she was at fault for not keeping in memory his own technique.
  174.
  175. Yet while she took blow after blow as did he, she kept in mind his ways of battling. From start until she's downed by earth and fire. The man's movements are all pin pointed, they were observed, taken in, and remembered. She could easily find ways to counter her magic, techniques she was growing used to, and thus she rises to fight against him.
  176.
  177. Burn marks covered her skin and the attire she had worn from his fire magic. Each stinging greatly. The woman's eyes wander from her skin and to the ground before finding the young elemental standing idle, spectating, taking in its summoners battling style as well as Brenton's own most likely.
  178.
  179. "A calm." She spoke before thunder cracked in the sky. "Before the storm." She spoke again. Many twisters swirled upward, larger than before. Lightning struck down, flowing throughout the many winds around her as rain was swept in and connecting to her aura with a tendril like connection. From her body and to the winds, water flowed, as did lightning. Fire magic aided to form steam which was collected for her to stand on top of.
  180.
  181. "Let's go." She stated. The storm summoned increased along with her magics, obvious that it aided her; she was once again ready for battle.
  182. (Vivica Loirdne)
  183. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 10)
  184. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 9)
  185. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 8)
  186. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 7)
  187. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 6)
  188. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 5)
  189. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 4)
  190. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 3)
  191. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 2)
  192. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  193. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  194. Again the woman was calm. The little elemental continued to spectate off to the side near the caves. Just like the first two rounds started, Brenton's large wave of holyfire magic had come at her, but in a bright, blinding flash of lightning cracked before him and from the sky, and the woman was gone.
  195.
  196. Vivica reappeared behind him, but the moment she saw him dash to strike, she again disappeared, using his moves against him, countering each and every skill enough to where he could barely touch her.
  197.
  198. The woman reappeared once again behind him and struck with her magic, aiming to harm, but not too much. Few of Brenton's skill had landed upon her, but thanks to the use of her winds to sweep away what came towards her, most of his magic didn't touch her!
  199.
  200. She was growing used to teleporting and reappearing at will, imagining where she was to find herself on the field and away from open attacks. It seemingly became easier. She needed more practice with it, however.
  201.
  202. Again she was able to best Brenton. This time, little damage was dealt with her. Thunder reverberated throughout the air and each crack of lightning magic over Vivica's form showed a silhouette of her body through the clouded, yet translucent mass of twisters before they all dispursed to disappear. Gentle winds remained. Nothing threatening.
  203.
  204. She looked to Brenton who was downed. Marks of lightning had crawled along his skin, damaged from her own magics, but, with the idea of healing him, tendrils of water shot outward towards him, soaking his skin and covering the burns. Sure, his own magic could heal him, but she wanted to recover the damages she caused.
  205.
  206. "It is beautiful, isn't it?" She stated with a smile, panting just a bit as she approached with a calm disposition. "That was a great fight, Brenton."
  207. (Vivica Loirdne)
