  1. Newhaven, Docks
  2. You stand at the southernmost edge of Newhaven. The view from here is
  3. amazing. As you stare out across the Silver river you behold such sights as
  4. the notorious Port Blackwater to the west, and the fabled town of Silvermere
  5. southwards. A large half-shaven man sits off in the corner, with what looks to
  6. be a fishing rod, and there are a number of small skiffs tied to the dock for
  7. use in reaching the docks of Silvermere.
  8. Also here: ferryman.
  9. Obvious exits: north
  10.
  11. Newhaven, Forest Path
  12. The trees become very thick around you now, and you can barely see where
  13. you're going due to the only light source being from the village behind you
  14. and the light shining through the trees. You hear the sound of rippling water
  15. south of here.
  16. Obvious exits: south, northwest
  17.
  18. Newhaven, Village Entrance
  19. Welcome to Newhaven! You are standing at the crude wooden gates of the
  20. village entrance, in the middle of a dusty path. A low wooden palisade
  21. surrounds the village, to protect against creatures of the night and random
  22. raiders. You can see small buildings to the north and south, and a dusty path
  23. that leads to the west and southeast.
  24. You notice large sign, newbie manual here.
  25. Obvious exits: north, south, west, southeast
  26.
  27. Newhaven, Weapons Shop
  28. This dusky old shop carries a small assortment of weapons suitable for the
  29. young adventurer. Torches line the walls, illuminating the room with a smoky,
  30. flickering glow. A stocky, mustached man stands behind a counter here, waiting
  31. to provide weaponry to novice adventurers. You can exit the shop through a
  32. doorway to the south.
  33. Also here: Nathaniel.
  34. Obvious exits: south
  35.
  36. Newhaven, Armour Shop
  37. This makeshift store carries a small assortment of clothes and armour.
  38. Behind a small wooden counter sits a large, bearded man, with a cheerful look
  39. on his face. Other than the assortment of items here, there is little of
  40. interest. You can exit through the doorway to the north.
  41. You notice padded gloves, padded helm, padded boots, padded pants, padded
  42. vest, club here.
  43. Also here: Betram.
  44. Obvious exits: north
  45.
  46. Newhaven, Narrow Path
  47. This narrow path is fairly plain, save for the small lanterns hanging from
  48. the trees around. North of you lies a strangely decorated shop, and a beat-up
  49. shack labeled "General Store" lies to your south. The path leads east and west
  50. from here.
  51. Obvious exits: north, south, east, west
  52.
  53. Newhaven, Spell Shop
  54. This dimly lit room is one of the strangest that you have seen. The walls
  55. are decorated with bizarre ornaments ranging from elaborate tapestries to
  56. stuffed orc heads. A wizened old man cloaked in strange garb sits behind a
  57. small counter, apparently murmuring to himself. You can exit through the
  58. curtained doorway to the south.
  59. Also here: Rayth.
  60. Obvious exits: south
  61.
  62. Newhaven, General Store
  63. This large wooden shack carries all sorts of useful goods. A big,
  64. long-haired man sits behind a counter whistling to himself, and smiles at you
  65. as you enter. The general store is a necessary shop for adventurers, as it
  66. sells light sources used to explore murky caverns. You can leave the shop
  67. through the open doorway to the north.
  68. Also here: Dathalar.
  69. Obvious exits: north
  70.
  71. Newhaven, Narrow Road
  72. This narrow road is quite plain save for the various lanterns hanging from
  73. the trees around, and a large stone stairwell leading downwards. You hear the
  74. clash of steel below you, and cries of pain and triumph accompanying it. Stone
  75. buildings lie to your north and west.
  76. Obvious exits: north, east, west, down
  77.
  78. Newhaven, Adventurer's Guild
  79. This nicely crafted room is well furnished and decorated with things that
  80. you have never seen before, from strange exotic weapons, to swirling vials of
  81. liquid. A well toned man, stands in front of a practice mat with his arms
  82. crossed. He stands up lightly at your approach, looks you up and down, and
  83. breaks into a lopsided grin.
  84. Also here: Corwyn.
  85. Obvious exits: south
  86.
  87. Newhaven, Healer
  88. This small, stark stone chamber is bereft of even the simple
  89. ornamentation, and its bare walls gleam in the bright light of the torches
  90. lining its walls. A short, stocky man with a black beard sits behind a large
  91. stone table at the far end of the room. There is an iron washbasin and some
  92. simple, utilitarian items used in the healing profession lie at his side. You
  93. can exit the chamber to the east, where faint sounds of metal hitting metal
  94. can be heard.
  95. You notice small sign here.
  96. Also here: healer.
  97. Obvious exits: east
  98.
  99. Newhaven, Arena
  100. This huge room is has been carved into the earth with crude work- manship.
  101. The blood-soaked floor is covered in broken, rusted weaponry and some things
  102. better left unmentioned. A huge iron gate sits in the west wall, and behind it
  103. you can hear the growling of some unfathomable beast. A large black door is
  104. set in the northern wall.
  105. Also here: acid slime.
  106. Obvious exits: closed door north, up
  107.
  108. Dungeon, Entrance
  109. You stand in a barely torchlit entryway to what appears to be an old
  110. mineshaft. Although it looks long abandoned, the support beams seem to be
  111. quite sturdy, but you have a feeling that this place caving in is the last of
  112. your worries. The only visible exits are south through the door from which you
  113. came, or north, into the perilous depths beyond.
  114. Also here: fierce kobold thief, fierce kobold thief.
  115. Obvious exits: north, south
  116.
  117. Small Cavern
  118. The stone tunnel opens into a thirty foot wide cavern here. Its smooth
  119. walls appear to be smeared with dirt, and are covered in deep gouges. The
  120. floor is littered with what, upon closer inspection, look like chewed and
  121. broken human bones. Broken shovels and splintered pick shafts are scattered
  122. about amongst the remains, and rotten bits of cloth can be found also. A large
  123. nest of dirt and weeds sits in the far corner of the cavern.
  124. Also here: cave bear.
  125. Obvious exits: south
  126. The room is barely visible
