[b]Physical:[/b] Reed is a young man of average height around his age. His hair of a dark red color, short in the normal sense of length but rather spiky in nature. He has a healthy tone of skin and had bright green eyes.

Most importantly, Reed is what in his world of origin is known as a [url=http://rwby.wikia.com/wiki/Faunus]Faunus[/url]. A race of human-like people with animal features; In Reed's case, a pair of cat ears of the sam color as his red hair, as well as small fangs.

He usually wears an open black vest made with a red hood, details and a small cross-shaped pair of red straps a bit under the collar area, that keep the vest steady even in movement; As well as wearing a sleeveless black shirt underneath. The vest also is tailored with a pair of shoulder pad-like protection as well as other armored plated along the sleeves.

For lower clothing, he wears a a pair of jeans, a belt modified to carry his belongings in two pouches to his side and a pair of reinforced boots, both light and durable.


[b]Mental:[/b] At first glance, Reed comes as a very easy-going fellow, laidback sometimes, but also he tends to have a clumsy side, which manifests quite often, sometimes seem like he has very bad luck. he can also get a bit nervous when pushed into situations he wasn't prepared for.

Due to personal disillusions over his noble actions being crushed and causing so much disheartening, he currently has a somewhat disgusted or painful vision on justice, feeling like heroes just don't work and good deeds are not rewarded; as such, tends to try to keep a facade of disinterest. However, he can't help to fall and follow through his kind heart regardless and help others, even if risky for himself. To the people he can grow to become friends with, he shows his goofier, kind and upbeat personality.


[b]Supernatural:[/b] Like many people from his world, Reed possesses the ability to channel a force known as [url=http://rwby.wikia.com/wiki/Aura]Aura[/url]; Known as the [i]"Manifestation of one's soul"[/i]. This aura covers his entire body and acts as some sort of protective barrier; Not fully protecting him from all pain and damage, but still allowing him to survive injuries which otherwise would cause severe fractures or worse. If enough force is applied, the aura protection will indeed shatter, leaving the young boy much more defenceless until he can recover his energies.

His aura can also manifest in what's known as his [i][b]Semblance[/b][/i]; An special ability unique to the individual. In Reed's case, his Semblance allows him to manipulate and charge wind currents. This allows him to shoot blasts or gusts of wind to either knock enemies or propel his own body forth or into the air. With full power, he is even able to "surf" through a charged enough wind current. This of course, at the cost of lowering his inner energies, and in turn, his Aura till recharge.


[b]Weaponry:[/b] Reed uses a pair of silver gauntlets with claws to use in close combat. These can also transform into a pair of rapid-fire guns at the press of a mechanism and even combine together into a more powerful SMG-like weapon.

Reed also has in his belongings a series of small vials containing a special type of material from his world known as [i]Dust[/i], which wen used in combination to his weapon, it can grant him elemental attributes like fire, ice, and others...


[b]Background:[/b] Reed comes from a far-away world known as [url=http://rwby.wikia.com/wiki/Remnant]Remnant[/url]. A fantastic land filled with mystical powers, monstrous beasts and great Huntsman and Huntresses that combat them.

Born as a Faunus, the young boy couldn't say that he and his family had the best of lives. His kind, despite their contributions to the world, still tended to fall prey to prejudice and abuse by humans. Before he was born, his Faunus mother Akane was fleeing due to the strong anti-Faunus movement at the time. Extremists on the constant hunt for them trying to, in their own twisted words, "Make Remnant a better place". Wounded from a previous attack to her village, she somehow ended up in the kingdom of [i]Vale[/i], before loosing consciousness due to the injuries and lack of energy.

She was found and taken to shelter by a human man by the name of Ciar, a local and strong Huntsman; Who in Remnant, are in charge of protecting the people from the dark creatures known as [i]Grimm[/i] and maintaining peace across the kingdoms. With her injuries healed, the man offered Akane to stay with him as he helped her find a home and protection from the people that pursued her. With time, the two fell in love and conceived Reed, rising him happily together.

Things weren't very easy, however. The constant protection of the outter rims of Vale kept Ciar in constant peril, while also having to provide for his family as Akane became rather fragile and weak of body. All this added with some of the bullying Reed had to experience growing up. However, the young half-feline kept himself going, always idolozing his father and wishing to become a Hunter himself one day.

He finally had this opportunity once grown enough, gaining a pass into the prestigious hunter school known as [i]Beacon Academy[/i]. Having trained with his father all his life, he felt he was ready to full fill his dream of becoming a hero.

However, a couple of weeks before the day of admission, Reed was walking through the streets at night when he noticed a defenceless old man being dragged away by some shady looking thugs into an abandoned building. Unable to simply walk away and leave the poor man like that, the young faunus snuck inside the building to rescue him and finding him tied up to a chair, ready to be tortured. Reed undid his bindings and helped him reach the exit. But then, the old man quickly called for the thugs to attack him, claiming the boy was a "way better ransom than him". As it seemed, the old man owed to this shady mafia a bunch of money, and when he was rescued by Reed, rather than thanking him for saving him, used his as a scapegoat for him to bail, throwing a lie that he was the kid of a rich Faunus emissary.

Reed was quickly hurt and binded by the gangsters, hoping to gain some high ransom money for his freedom. He was then threatened by pushing him close to a iron cage, occupied by a monstrous Wolf-life Grimm. Scared, Reed thought this was his end when, to his surprise, saw Ciar burst into the building, quickly making his way through the mafia forces and rescuing him from the horrendous beast. Amongst the enraged fight that his father got into, the criminal leaders managed to escape with some cargo in tow, although all Ciar care was his son's safety.

However, while Reed was rescued without much injuries, it seemed life took a turn for the worse. Apparently, in having to burst in and rescue his son, Ciar managed to botch a police affair that day, them being this close to having enough internal proof to arrest them. To add even more bad luck, it appeared some of said law force had been secretly bribed by said criminals, as many charges for obstruction of justice were quickly placed upon Ciar despite him having good reasons to have meddled in order to rescue his son. This all concluded with his Huntsman status to not only be unfairly tarnished, but also prohibited from him until further notice...

This event completely devastated Reed. Both blaming himself for his father's misfortune, as well as furious at the easily-corrupted justice system, as well as to that old man that quickly sold him for his own safety despite Reed simply wanting to help.

Feeling like there was no justice in the world, the young man couldn't even force himself to face his now down-on-his-luck father. One day simply choosing not to return to his home. That day happened to be a particular special day, it seemed, as, while shielding from the rain by an alleyway, Reed started to feel sleepy, suddenly tumbling down on the floor by an unknown reason...

When he woke up, he found himself in some place different. A entirely new city surrounding him with not recollection of how he got there...


[b]Notes:[/b] As a Cat Faunus, Reed does have a few feline-like tendencies. Like for example having a big love for fish and seafood as well as being sensitive when his ears are scratched (much to his embarrassment.)

Also within his person, he carries a phone/Tablet-like device known as a Scroll, which he can use to communicate, surf the web, amongst other functions.
