Mitsuo had been in his laboratory alone for a few months now. He had gathered enough rations to survive, and wouldn't have any issues with staying alive in here, for long periods of time with proper exercise. But of course, it comes with the territory, that boredom would stir in. Seeing as he didn't have a proper sleeping chamber, he couldn't restore his stamina and continue his work. It was a pain.

He had of course, visited another planet prior to hibernating in his Laboratory. Someone loaned him a Space Pod, so he could explore the world a little bit. He only visited one Planet, and returned. It was Earth Like, in every way shape and form. Minus the corruption, and pollution. It was beautiful.

The Space Pod entered the planet smoothly. That was good, if anything. He wasn't going to have any issues landing.  He piloted the space pod effortlessly down into the planet, landing it with an impact onto a grassy area.  He stepped out of the pod, and looked around...

It was clean here. Crisp, fresh air.  And even without the comfort and isolation of his Lab, it felt refreshing to just be here. Except... There was something pulling him down. And it hurt quite a bit. It felt like his insides were being dragged to the depths of hell. Why was this...?

Shrugging a bit, he began to walk around a bit. He was NOT used to this. But after a few minutes of analyzing, he realized it wasn't he himself causing this effect. It was the planet. He couldn't measure the gravity, but he assumed it was almost 10x his home planets.  How did he not realize that sooner...

Sighing a bit, he began to move around a bit sluggishly, looking for resources. He needed to build a small hut, to store his stuff. The pod seemed uneffected by the gravity. That was good... But what sorta place can he build? He assumed he could just put together a wooden house. He actually had tools, since he brought his tool box!

After a few hours of work, he had built a small hut. Not much, but it was big enough for him, his pod, and some other small things. After setting it up, he pulled out one of 8 books he had brought with him from Earth.  Taking a seat on the floor, he popped open the first one. "Physics," no author, and nothing else littered the cover of the book.

He began to read over the basic functions of Gravity. Though... He didn't think he could harness it's power and amplify it. But it was obviously possible. He could distort the area's pressure, by creating an artificial atmosphere. If he could compress an artifical atmosphere into one area, it could simulate an artificial gravity, of sorts...

He liked the idea, but how would he be able to go about such a thing? Gravity isn't something you make make with equipment from a shed! Luckily, he had actual lab equipment this time. That would make his life easier. After a few hours of reading, he realized another way. If he could make a device that simulated centrifugal force, he could simulate HIGH levels of gravity!

Or he could lessen the gravity of an area. But a simpler method would to be using a superconductor. And that was something he could EASILY produce. By using a Superconductor, he could emit gravitomagnetism. Which could theoretically PULL gravity, towards a specific location, pulling it from the surrounding area. That actually sounded a little easier.

Superconductors can carry a current indefinitely, without losing any energy. A basic superconductor is steel. Which he actually had! He would however have to condense it a great bit with his blowtorch, to make it worth anything. And he would also need to infuse it with Nickel, to make it a Magnet Superconductor. Not too terribly difficult.

Still, this was all theroteical. He had some nickel, not a whole lot. PLENTY of Steel. He would have to balance it out. Luckily he also had iron, which can be a substitute for Nickel. After grabbing a few sheets of steel, he would begin to weld, and hammer it out into a box, leaving it sitting on his table, as he melded together Iron, and Nickel with his blowtorch. He should really get a furnace.

After an hour of waiting for it to cool, he would then meld it once more to his steel box. IT seems silly... He grabbed some wiring from the furthest corner of his room, bringing it over. He had turned a small amount of Nickel, and Iron into a small amount of liquid. He would dip the tips of the wires into it, and put the nickel, iron infused tips against the iron/nicke/steel box, keeping it there. Nodding a bit, he would bring the wiring aroudn to the front of the box.

After a few more moments of thinking, he would bind the wiring to a small module, which could be used to set the gravity if he so needed. Before putting the box, carefully into an Alluminum cast. "Heh, there we go," He chuckled softly, sitting the Gravity Machine on the ground. "Well, I made a Space Pod. I guess making one of these could be a bit crazy... Heres to hoping it works!"

He stopped, and chuckled softly, turning to his supplies again. He would drag out a small glass sheet, just the right size. "Well, this is handy as hell," he chuckled, slipping it over the front panel of his machine. It would respond to the heat signature, from the otherside of the glass!

Grinning broadly at his creation, he picked it up, and stored it in a container, before making his way back to his pod. He would leave the hut behind, as he could maybe one day visit again. The Gravity was still wearing on Mitsuo. He would return to Earth, and try out his new device, in the comfort of his Laboratory.
