1. this is a week or so after the alien invasion, while everyone's trying to rebuild; Celeste has stopped actively grieving, but the grief has given way to 20 different varieties of anger, which is literally manifesting as a visible glow in her eyes and an obscuring shadow over the upper half of her face, either as some manifestation of her powers or a remnant of the corruption infection
2.
3. "Why, Celia? Why did this happen? Why didn't Gaia do something to help?"
4. "She's struggling to-"
5. "She's not struggling with anything, Celia. I have a link to her, just like you do. But unlike you, I'm not tied to her earthly spirit, I'm tied to her angelic spirit. I can sense things from her that you can't. And I can tell you right now, she is holding back. What I want to know is why. If she would have stepped in personally, or even just given us more power to work with, half the settlement wouldn't be a fucking crater right now. Half the population wouldn't have been slaughtered. Tony would still be alive. So I want answers. Why the fuck isn't she helping us more?"
6. "..."
7. "Gaia betrayed us, Celia. She stood back and watched this take place. She stood back and watched as our settlement, our people, our friends, were torn apart. She stood back and let it happen!" A pause, a deep breath to recover her composure. When she speaks again, her voice is dripping with venom and hatred. "If I ever meet her face-to-face, in this life or whatever afterlife there may be, she will have to beg for my forgiveness."
