Attention- Mandatory Wallet Update Forthcoming

We are messaging CHANCOIN wallet users today to let them know that they will need to download a new client - the downloads can be found at https://github.com/chancoindev/CHANCOIN -- binary releases are coming soon!

As a result of this client update there may be some maintenance time for exchanges listing CHANCOIN - deposits and withdrawals may be delayed - we will do our utmost to work with exchanges to ensure a smooth transition. As for the reason for this update, it has come to the team's attention that Andy, a.k.a. CHANCOIN - the originator of the CHANCOIN project - has been trying to conceal the number of pre-mined coins he holds by manually mixing them. Based on our examinations of the blockchain, we've determined that he has attempted to obfuscate his possession of approximately one third of the coins currently in circulation. Furthermore he has been observed coordinating in a non-official discord with a known pump-and-dumper who has become notorious in the chancoin community for his repeated attempts to hijack the community, solicit helpers for his pump and dump schemes and his overall unreasonableness.

The dev team formed around CHANCOIN with the understanding that this should be a long term project and Andy's lack of engagement with the team, as well as the hundreds of transactions aiming to isolate coins leads us to believe that he is an obstacle to the project's growth and a threat to the community's continued existence. Therefore we have unanimously decided to eject him from the project, release a new wallet which freezes assets we are nearly certain to be his, and move forward, having finally put Andy's scamming behind us.
