  1. [06:08:00] He would give an odd look to the grasses and the fields as he sat there patiently. He didn't have much thoughts on anything, but he wanted to make himself able to defend his family. So he stood there in the clearing by himself, trying to practice. To learn. Swinging his oversized weapon around his head and trying to mimick the movements of the knight he had seen fighting.
  2.
  3. That was all truly. He had forgotten the concerns and the cares of most of his family. They weren't helping. They din't even seemed concerned for him. And his rebellion and resentment was blossoming and growing in his heart. Like a terrible swelter and bud.
  4. (Marcus Hertlend)
  5.
  6. [06:13:07] Feora hums as she walks, approaching the lonely boy. The notes float through the air around her, swirling. This is the new spell, the cacophony of sound. She dulls it as she walks closer though, not wanting to harm but, but allowing the edges of the spell to brush against his senses.
  7.
  8. Behind her a blonde man follows, a sword slung over his shoulders and wearing no top. He looks strangely feminine, but is lithe and muscular at the same time. In fact, he looks possibly like the twin of the blonde lady.
  9.
  10. The woman pulls her cloak about herself before speaking:
  11. "Now, what's someone so young as you doing out here in these dangerous woods?" She speaks sweetly, trying hard to not be condescending. Looks can be decieving after all, and age isn't a perfect scale, some people are more mature than others.. Especially Magi, it seems.
  12. (Feora Summertone)
  13.
  14. [06:19:05] He would raise the weapon and quickly snap it back onto himself before facing the lady, "I'm practicing. I need to learn... and so far no one's been able to or wanted to teach me. So I've started to teach myself." He would give a bright smile as he looked at her. She was tightly grasping her cloak as if trying to hide something. He would give an odd raise of his brow before quickly snapping away from that.
  15.
  16. He was taught that it was rude to stare, but he did so anyways sometimes. He would then look about, "Its dangerous? I haven't seen anything dangerous about. Just a few of the lessers... but if you hit a tree really hard they get scared and just scurry away." He would think of the others who had told him the same. He thought that they were just trying to keep him weak so he had to depend on them.
  17.
  18. He would become slightly indignant in his tone, "Whats there to be afraid of!?" He would give a kind of devilish smile.
  19. (Marcus Hertlend)
  20.
  21. [06:31:53] Feora shrugs and looks around for something a bit bigger to fight... She doesn't really want to fight it, just wants to prove a point. She points out a slightly bigger, red one. "Those are a bit stronger." She chews on her lip. "There are scarier things too... Out here, and I'm not talking about Yokai."
  22.
  23. Her 'twin' peers around to see if there is any danger of attack from these scarier things, satisfied that there is not, he returns to Feora's side, silent as ever.
  24.
  25.
  26. (Feora Summertone)
  27.
  28. [06:37:00] He would give an odd smirk at her, "I'm sure that with enough practice, I can kill it! With the blessing of the morninglord, and with the dedication that I put in, nothing can stand against me..." He would look away for a moment, whispering to himself, "They'll all know Papa... that this house you founded will not lie idle... that these hands will ask the morninglord to break those who stand against..." After that he would look back up cheerily.
  29.
  30. A large smile, "I just need to practice! As a wise man once said, Ambition is the first step to making those ambitions a reality." HE would go back to fighting the air and the plants of the ground, and even the insects flying about. He would learn. And the world would soon understand the game that this boy was playing at.
  31. (Marcus Hertlend)
  32.
  33. [06:42:59] The woman raises an eyebrow. She's sure he could, but leaving him here alone feels wrong still. She knows what can happen when someone is left alone... Her music fades, and she gives the boy a more serious look. She isn't really sure why she's saying this. She wouldn't think of cleaning up the Yokai for "Good" alone.
  34.
  35. She itches to use her newfound magics more, and to get back to training and learning. Perhaps she could do so while this boy trains himself? She could even offer to teach him, considering he claims to need it. She doubts that he would want the lessons she can give him though. She isn't very good with a sword, her illusions and sound magic normally deal with any issues like that.
  36.
  37. She could offer to let him train on her clone... That way he could fight a worthy opponent with no chance of being hurt.
  38. (Feora Summertone)
  39.
  40. [06:47:15] He would look at her, "I thought that harming things was bad though. Isn't that depravity? To attack something without reason just to help yourself? It seems selfish too..." He would squint his eyes at the woman. Maybe this was one of the bad strangers that his mom had told him to be weary of. Before he would have just run.
  41.
  42. But with his self and overthought estrangement, he would stay and assure himself that this was the case. Maybe she could offer something that would convince him, and from there convince himself that he could stay here practicing without repercussion. Afterall, to find another spot as good as this one would be a major pain for the boy.
  43. (Marcus Hertlend)
  44.
  45. [06:54:56] Feora shakes her head. "Not quite. The yokai aren't.. People. They're tied in with depravity in strange ways. You'd be helping others by fighting them, people who would be hurt or killed otherwise by them... Besides, you're Oscuri, it's in your nature to fight!" She nods. That's right, isn't it? She shrugs, half at her own question and half to indicate her lack of how to continue that particular train of thought.
  46.
  47. Her spelled human steps into a fighting stance, readying it's sword and setting it's face, looking determined.
  48.
  49. "You could always try out your skills on this. It's not uh... a person, it can't feel pain. I can call it off if it becomes too rough too."
  50.
  51.
  52. (Feora Summertone)
  53.
  54. [06:58:20] He would give a tilt of his head to the woman, "So... its alright to fight someone if they're evil? If their depraved? When people pose a threat to others, then its okay to fight them?" He would have an odd look of fascination upon his face. As if a whole new spectrum had been opened to his eyes. "Really? So... its my destiny to fight? To be able to deliver the Morninglord's will?" He would practically be jumping.
  55.
  56. As the other thing was presented, he wouldn't even say anything as he drew his sword and hopped right at the magus's spriteling, or whatever the hell it was. HE didn't care. All he knew was that it was something that he could test his skills on!
  57. (Marcus Hertlend)
  58.
  59. [07:04:19] He would give a dash at the magi's clone. He was fully enjoying it now! The reika was surging and he was on cloud nine! He couldn't believe that this was his destiny from the start. But something bit at him. Gnawed at him. Why would his mother tell him not to fight? To keep him away from all sorts of weapons.
  60.
  61. He clenched his teeth and his hands around the handle of his weapon, He couldn't believe this. His enjoyment was disappearing. Replaced by something else. A grim and terrible determination. His house was flled with people who wanted to restrain him... now it was confirmed to him! It was filled with people who wanted to keep him down.
  62.
  63. He wasn't going to let them, "HAVE AT YOU THEN!" He would attack full force at them. He wasn't thinking clearly anymore.
  64. He was a kid throwing a fit. An especially violent, reika fueled, and steel clad fit.
  65. (Marcus Hertlend)
  66.
  67. [07:05:10] Feora takes a few steps back, not really wanting to get in the way of the fight. She's seen some fairly powerful young magi before. She calls out to him from behind her cover.
  68.
  69. "Of course it is! Preventing evil from happening is good. You have to decide though... Are you going to kill your enemies, or are you going to try and teach them a better way? You can redeem the fallen, bring them back to the light... Sometimes you have no option. The yokai are evil. They cannot be cleansed of their sins, for they are sin itself.. Others are too mad or depraved to see reason, or lost in strange magics." She shakes her head, but shrugs.
  70.
  71. "I'm no oscuri expert, I know only some common knowledge and what I've read during my studies of different magics. Fighting is the purpose of the Oscuri, you were created to fight... You have to decide when to fight and when to accept surrender."
  72.
  73. She falls silent, waiting for him to prepare. Her illusory self moves into a fighting stance.
  74. (Feora Summertone)
  75.
  76. [07:11:08] He would attack the creature that she had. But it was almost to no use. Trying to strike at air. The weapon seeping through that thing as it attacked him with the force of physical. Then he shifted eyes to the caster. He would attack her full force, bearing upon her with the fullness of his strength. She seemed much less adept in combat than her automaton. But she was still something to be considered.
  77.
  78. The cacophany blasted against his ears, but he still ignored it, instead plowing through it to attack her. He was bleeding from his ears after she seemed to be beat, placing the weapon on his back, the sudden realisation and pain of the fight had changed him. "I understand now. Thanks for the fight! Its been very informative!" HE would get a handkerchief and start wiping the area around his perferated drums. It stung a bit, but he needed to be independant.
  79.
  80. It was clear his family couldn't be trusted. At least not Mika and Alexia.
  81. (Marcus Hertlend)
  82.
  83. [07:19:40] Feora wasn't quite expecting the Oscuri boy to come at her with such force! She tries to defend herself, panicking for a second as she shoots off a sound wave and unleashes her cacophony. Her illusion isn't worth much, and while panicked she forgets to just blind him.
  84.
  85. Feora raises her hands in surrender, sending away the clone.
  86. "See? You're very adept with the sword." She smooths over a bit of her torn yellow cloak with illusion, hiding the damage...
  87.
  88. She becomes aware fast of another. This one is older at least. She prepares herself for another fight, thinking of the mana she will need to unleash a sound wave, and calling up her clone.
  89. (Feora Summertone)
