Chandra's story

Chandra Iaiadix lived in a place far from Aramore and the West Marches on vast plains of grass that stretched beyond the distant horizons and far into the deep woods where no human has ever ventured. There, her people lived their lives as friends and competitors to the fey for they are kin and one. Titania, queen of the fairy Summer Court, bestowed these lands onto them as thanks for services rendered in the great twilight wars thousands of years ago when she ruled the world. Since then, these proud centaurs have guarded and nurtured the soil and life they were given. Doing their utmost to care for the gift they had been given, they sought only to better their lives and those under their care with the tribal knowledge passed down through the generations.

Yet, even as her people cantered and hunted across these ancient lands given to us by oath and blood, a great darkness came to the centaur's plains. A darkness greater than any threat her people had ever known. As a sphere of dark energy materialized at the Eastern end of their lands, Chandra's tribe of the Golden Dawn were faced with an ever expanding bubble of dark energy from which abominable creature spewed forth. Monsters and deformed beasts alike came out of the sphere and destroyed all they came accross.

As the sphere continues to consume their lands, the centaurs of the Golden Dawn are faced with a situation that grows more desperate by the day for though they can slay the monsters that came forth with arrow and blade, the sphere's influence can only be slowed by their ancestrals spells.

And so, moulded by her experience and drawing upon the planar energies that suffuse the world, Chandra has ventured far from her home to a place where she has heard that great magic and dangers lurk. Here in the West Marches, this brave centaur hopes to find the means by which to save her people and destroy the sphere of darkness that threatens to engulf all she has ever cared for.
