Well, when one is not willing to do more than stop incoming attacks, of course the alien nanomachine fleet will turn their nose up at it. Didn't expect that response from human-allied mental models either, but apparently, that is a thing. Jerks.

The plot here is a little weird. I don't plan on running around and interfering overmuch, but... I am pretty sure I am going to tag along and keep tabs on everyone in the fleet, and possibly step in if things go too strangely or too badly. Never hurts to run interference a bit, after all.
