❀ | background: born into a well off family, yunsae had everything at her fingertips. money was never a problem, and she always got what she wanted. unfortunately, though, the one thing she wanted the most was the one thing she never got -- parental love. her father was a wealthy business man and was always flying across the world for different meetings, and as a result didn't get to see yunsae much; whenever he did come home, he tried his best to spend time with her, and she had always been a daddy's girl, but it was never enough. her mother, though, was the real problem. she was always home with her -- and always drunk. their house was big enough to get lost in, and although they lived in the same building, her mother did whatever she could to avoid her. yunsae learned from a young age that the only way she would get even the slightest bit of attention from her parents was when she did something bad; "accidentally" stealing from a store, getting caught cheating on a test, cutting her hair short and dying it bright pink, etc. eventually, her mother got fed up and couldn't handle coming down every day to her school to try and make amends with the teacher, and decided to send her off to live in england with her sister's family. yunsae was outraged that her mother tried to dispose of her that quickly, and continued her antics despite being halfway across the world, but she slowly stopped when she realized that her aunt and uncle gave her the love she had always yearned for, and soon her cousin elle became her best friend. four years later, she graduated high school and regretfully decided to leave and go back to korea to finish college, taking her cousin elle with her. once there, she met yoongi -- and fell deeply in love. they started dating, although she hadn't ever had experience with dating before, but after eight months, he broke it off, saying that she wasn't suited to be in a relationship. "you're too naive," he told her. "maybe try learning more before you try one again." she was EXTREMELY hurt by his words, and later (after discovering he was lowkey cheating on her) vowed to get back at him. of course, the way she went about it proved him right -- because it was a bit naive of her to try and make him jealous while being in a FAKE relationship rather than a real one.

to put it simply, chong yunsae is the definition of "rough around the edges." you'd think that with an iq as high as hers, she'd be smart enough to determine her own boundaries and make sure she stayed in them, but academics are honestly the only things she exceeds in. she's not afraid to get in trouble (she does it often, actually) and could be dubbed what you would call a "badass girl." she kind of has an unintentional case of resting bitch face, and that paired with her harsh glare, one she doesn't even know she has, is enough to scare off even a grown man. the style of makeup and clothing she wears, heavy winged eyeliner and tones of grey and black, certainly don't do anything to help her intimidating appearance. if you were to try and get to know her underneath that, though, you would be able to see that she's actually just a (kind of) sweet and misunderstood girl. because of how much she got into trouble as a child, she really doesn't have a care in the world when it comes to herself. she's okay with getting herself into shit and even taking the fall for someone else because honestly, she knows if she's innocent they'll let her go (and even if she's not, her parents will probably find a way to get her out of it.) she has a really bad habit of doing as she pleases without thinking of the repercussions, and despite being extremely smart in certain areas, she's actually kind of an idiot. one thing she loves to do, ESPECIALLY if you're one of her friends or otherwise somehow close to her, is threatening people or just smacking them really hard. "i'm going to murder you" and "wow i hope you die" are common phrases in her vocabulary, and if you even know her in the slightest, it's obvious her threats are just little jokes she likes to say. unfortunately, she's really strong and when she uses violence on you, you'll probably end up with a bruise the size of asia for a looooong time. yunsae has a bit of a problem with getting mad, and actually has EXTREME anger issues. if you get her mad, lord help you because even if she does joke around about how she's going to kill you, it's going to take lots of people to restrain her from pouncing on you and doing irreversible damage. she honestly couldn't give a fuck what people think whenever they see her -- think she's a bitch? great. afraid she's going to kill you and your children? wonderful. wonder what makes her so high mighty and above you? awesome. just don't voice your opinion to her or to anyone who could tell her because she really loves the opportunity to go after someone and hurt them. once you get past her rugged exterior, though, and get to know the yunsae underneath all of that, it's not hard to see that she's a huge fluffball. she has a habit of smiling ALL THE TIME when around someone she likes (friend or other) and giggles a lot, not unlike the typical girl. she can be really sweet, and is sort of considerate of people's feelings if she cares about them a lot. she doesn't have much experience with love, and seeing how her first, and only so far, relationship ended in shambles, she's not in the mood to jump onto the love bandwagon yet again. (that doesn't mean she's against faking it, though. she's always up for that, especially if it's to get back at yoongi.) yunsae is the type of person who is the epitome of loyal. she's always putting the care and wellbeing of those she loves above herself, and literally would do anything for them. loyalty is everything to her, and once you break her trust, its extremely hard to get it back. she's EXTREMELY!!!!! protective over her friends. do them wrong in some way, and you better be prepared for the storm that's coming. she'll never be able to stand for them getting hurt, and always tries to solve the problem before they're aware of it.

❀ | brief personality: namjoon is the living embodiment of a dweeb ass bitch. with his giant framed hipster like glasses and habit of posing daily like a model (he could be one tbh) for his friend to take him picture, he's actually rather amusing. around people he doesn't know and/or those he's trying to impress, he tries his best (and usually fails) to act cool and tough and very blase with everything. underneath that, he's actually, put simply, a little crybaby. he's practically scared of everything, and has a habit of clinging onto his friends or whoever's closest when he "hears" something. put simply, though, he's THE BIGGEST PERVERT YOU WILL EVER MEET.

❀ | how did they end up fake dating: yunsae was dead set on getting back at yoongi, and was sitting in her philosophy class thinking about how exactly she could do it. the idea of fake dating someone struck her immediately, and she told herself that she would "date" the first guy to walk through the door. fortunately for her, it wasn't her professor -- it was actually namjoon. she bombarded him after class was over, begging him to help her. she knew he had seemed familiar, and realized it was because he was the guy that kept trailing after elle, which led her to saying she would help them get together if he fake dated her. he agreed, and it wasn't until afterwards they realized exactly why the other seemed familiar -- because yunsae was yoongi's ex, and namjoon was one of yoongi's best friends.

❀ | history: he was one of yoongi's best friends, and they had (sort of) seen each other around maybe once around each other while at a party or something. namjoon never really supported yoongi's escapades because he had a habit of not being able to keep a girlfriend, and if he did, he was always fooling around with someone or the other behind their back, and always tried to distance himself from the girls he spent time with. namjoon actually kind of felt back for all the girls who fell victim to them, which is partially why he agreed to fake date her.

- NON COUPLE / from the very beginning, she's very standoffish. she looooves the way he acts cautious around her because he's afraid to step the wrong way or something and doesn't want her to pounce on him, and isn't afraid to tease him. she kind of doesn't like him but is like "oh what the hell, might as well find some way to entertain myself." as he starts to get more comfortable around her, she opens up and they actually get kind of close, joking about anything and everything (including their sex live wow.) at the end, though, she really doesn't know how to act -- because by this point, she really likes him, but doesn't know what to do because the last time she liked someone, it didn't turn out very well.
