late night #pastebinmonday post marathon stress 4/23/2018

Finally done stressing out over having to derust in 2 different runs for 2 different marathons, which feels good.

Steam's controller settings royally fucked up the Sonic CD 2011 Savior of the Future run for Sonic Speed 2018 but luckily the organizer gave me another shot once everything has been finally fixed... at 3:30am. even though I was down 1 co-commentator due to the timeslot the commentary went surprisingly well considering how hard of a game it is to commentate for. Debating if I should do a restream of it during the night or something but we'll see.

The Banjo-Tooie All Jiggywiggy Puzzles run for Keizathon was really fun too, was nicer and chiller then the usual marathon for me bc I was sitting in a call with some people I know and haven't really talked in a while too. The run didn't go that well at all, half of it wasn't really my fault since the game softlocked once and I had to reset somewhere to avoid a nasty memory leak but then again the chat didn't seem to mind and going under estimate was apparently a bannable offense so I guess it's all good?

Animationwise, I've been mostly focusing on my scene for Kirby Reanimated, a draft of some sort's due the 25th of this month so I'm at least trying to finish an animatic up by then. It's a been fun though, and nice to feel like I'm part of a big project even if it's not payed.

As far as when I'll be able to make another full on short... it might not be for a while unfortunately, I need to focus on trying to get a job and building stuff for that probably, and not to go too much into detail about irl but things haven't been looking good for me, but we'll see, hoping to maybe have something done by the end of the summer but don't hold your breath.

I have however cut my days/hours at my part-time job for the time being, did a lot of thinking and at this point my job hasn't been helping much w/ pay even at max hours, and it's been stressing me out to the point where it's harder to get anything done in a quick manner. So hopefully it will pay off, I can get more animation work done, and this won't all blow up in my face somehow?

Will that mean more streams? I wouldn't count on that, wanna focus more on animation and stuff but who knows.

Anyways onto speedplans...

I'm burnt out man, from all the routing, rerouting, and grinding I've been doing for both Nuts & Bolts and Tooie these past 6 months as well as the marathon prep I was doing, I need a good week or two to just chill and spam casual gaming

I should be learning kazooie any% and Tooie 100% I know but I need a break man.

If I do anything speedwise this next week or so it'll probably just be Tooie All Jiggywiggy Puzzles... it's been 2 fucking years since my last pb there's been so many changes/improvements since then like wtf lol

I did just rebuy Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge and Banjo-Pilot (my old copies were lost) so expect some stuff related to that very soon!!!!

I do plan on doing a bunch of casual stuff at the very least, here's a list in somewhat of an order of stuff I may or may not do (might change depending on mood):

Finish Earthbound already, first and biggest priority, started it around 1.5 years ago god

actually do the part 2 of that ode to wii shop stream I did about a month ago but couldn't actually buy anything because of the wii shop going under maintenance after I put my money in, will also finish the parodius playthrough during said stream to start out with

play the Shantae: Half-Genie Hero costume mode DLC

100% replaythrough of Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge (likely in 1 sitting)

giving Banjo-Pilot another shot to see if I still don't like it as much as I remember

Finish a Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword playthrough I've done off stream because I can't imagine myself being motivated to finish it otherwise

Hat in Time mod levels because holy fuck this game is amazing but I already 100%ed it

I've been in the mood to try setting up PS3 streaming again, so I bought something that will HOPEFULLY actually let me do so (shit's a royal pain to do because the system is programmed to block any hd streaming so you need a separate dongle to stop that from happening). It's coming here Friday, so if that happens and I can set it up right I can do a bunch of casual playthroughs on stream:

Spyro the Dragon (hopefully BEFORE the remake trilogy comes out?)

Kingdom Hearts II replaythrough but the ps3 remake

Okami (I originally wanted to do this in one sitting for funs because it's one of my favorite games ever but realistically idk if I could really do that... first playthrough was like 50 hours and the average semiblind is probably 30 especially since I would wanna watch all the cutscenes)
