The name of 'Sebastian' has always been a prodigious one for the von Adlerwald. It was Sebastian the First who signed the contract with the fledgling Salubrine empire at Saltpoint; Sebastian II who would be the last Griffon-Duke of the Eaglewood, and Sebastian III who would succeed him to take the name of von Adlerwald. The name of Sebastian is treated with some trepidation in the Eaglewood as a result, and the naming of Sebastian IV was quite surprising - for the name alone.

Perhaps there is something to the name, since Sebastian von Adlerwald, fourth of his name, always stood out.

As the firstborn son of Hedwig VII, Sebastian excelled at his studies from a young age. A proficient swordsman, eloquent orator, and cunning steward, Sebastian is the picture of old blood nobility, and just the kind of young man who seems unable to do anything but rise. Though the Eaglewood has largely stagnated for nearly a century, and Hedwig's rule represented astoundingly little save for rebuilding of the Eaglewood from the wasting plague twenty years ago, the unprecedented death of his father has left the nineteen-year-old and unmarried Sebastian in charge of the Eaglewood. His hot gray eyes - the timeless marker of a Greiffman - are uncontent to sit and waste away in Castle von Adlerwald, as so many before him were. This century is a time of change, and men like Sebastian are to be at the front of it.

Time alone will tell if the fourth of his name will live up to the three before.
