"Once, there was a distant world. Teeming with life, beautiful beyond imagination. Among the many who lived in this world, were the so called 'humans'. The humans were unsatisfied with life, so they begun building tools, and then houses, and then they built walls and towers. When the humans put these together, they formed cities, and thus civilization bloomed on the surface of this world. But humanity was still unsatisfied. Our records do not speak of what happened, but only that humanity could no longer live on their world.

Their twelve leaders, the eternal maidens, the Axioms came together to decide what to do. But the Axioms were divided. Some wished to rebuild the world, some wanted to create a new one altogether. Others wanted to take to the stars, but they could not decide whether they would conquer what they came across, or simply settle. Our story is the story of the latter, of the seven Axioms that came together in the great Colony Mothership, and landed upon this land. Iliaster. The Moon of Ano, a glorious home for us all.

And in our misfortune, we did not find it empty. An army of machines had already taken hold of it, and every day of existence had to be earned. We settled, and begun building our cities. Two of the Axioms sought to depart, and seek shelter in the world below: a move now considered unwise by many. The remaining five helped grow our foothold, and eventually we took the Moon for ourselves. We made peace with the automata, and integrated them into our society. We built a great ring around the world, that sustained a defense system, making our home impenetrable.

Our great warriors, the Prime Humans, turned from paragons to public figures and things remained peaceful for a long while. But in the modern age, where no new Prime Humans have arisen, the Automata seek war, and have begun stirring in the Far Reaches. A mission was sent to Ano, to retrieve the power of the Fallen Axioms. Yet, the fate of those in the Moon, remains uncertain."
