Chaewon is popular for her cute nature, kindness, and bright attitude. Many people are attracted to her (not romantically) because of these traits, so she’s not going to be short of friends anytime soon. No room will ever have any bad vibes as long as she’s around.

    Although, underneath all the bright smiles and bubbly laughter, Chaewon is not what she appears to be. She’s incredibly reserved, barely ever talking about herself with her friends. Currently facing depression, Chaewon is fighting the battle herself. She feels that if she were to tell someone about it, she would be bringing them down with her.

⋆ Background:

    Growing up without a mother or a father, Chaewon has been living with her aunt, uncle, and two cousins instead. Things were fine and dandy, until one day, her uncle died, and her aunt was never the same. She became addicted to alcohol and drugs, and was constantly angry, deciding to take it all out on Chaewon. Her cousins soon followed, the death her uncle changing them, too.

    And yes - Chaewon became the a version of a modern day Cinderella, doing everything for her family. From cleaning to cooking to taking care of the bills, it’s a mystery as to why she still does so well in school and is all smiles. But this didn’t leave her unscarred - Chaewon soon developed depression, feeling that she was never good enough as her aunt always kept pointing out flaws in her and her work.

    Mark treats Chaewon like a little sister, though to the observant, he is slightly more kind to her than anybody else. He also like to pay a visit at the window of her bedroom and leave her little presents for her to open the next morning.

She treats Mark like any other person, as Chaewon has difficulty expressing her emotions (other than through her facial expressions). To make up for it, though, she randomly gives him hugs - especially from behind.

Chaewon honestly wouldn’t know, usually telling the person who asked this, “hlegh”. Love wasn’t an emotion in her dictionary, thanks to her depression. Sure, she loved her friends, but never loved romantically. Mark was an exception, though.

 If so, how?:
Mark would feel bad about hiding the fact that he was an angel from Chaewon, so he’d just come clean about it.
