Chrystal Song Yunji was born in New York, America and grew up there. Her family consists of her Korean father, American mother and brother, named Evan Song Yunhyeong, who is five years older than her. Her life was pretty eventful, in both a good and bad way.

She had a lot of exciting and happy experiences, such as bungee jumping, going to unique cafes like a Kids cafe, dog cafe and cat cafe, and also travelling around America a lot! Most of these memories were captured in small polaroids that are hung by her bed.

But of course, Yunji's life couldn't possibly be filled with only good memories. Once, Yunji was at the beach with her family when she almost drowned in the sea, it was the main culprit of her fear for the waters. She tried giving it another shot by attempting to swim, but whenever she felt herself sink, she would start to panic and thrash around wildly. Another bad memory and possibly the worst, was during a period of time where her parents were fighting almost everyday. She would huddle with her brother in their shared bedroom and hear the shouts coming from their parents, maybe even the sound of a bottle being smashed.

However, that's just a summary of what her life was like, let's dive deeper into detail.

Yunji went to an all girls school somewhere near her apartment. She was pretty popular there due to her good grades and amazing socialising skills. She would constantly be the first in the level and would gain a lot of praise from the teachers and students around her. This caused jealousy to spark in some students. They tried to find fault in Yunji. Since they couldn't insult her for her grades, they insulted her for being the only Asian in the school and insulted her for having chubby cheeks. This caused Yunji to become very insecure and would try going on dangerous diets to lose weight when she wasn't overweight in the first place. Her brother would notice her eating less carbohydrates and sometimes eating just a singular cucumber for lunch. He would also notice Yunji starting to exercise more and he was starting to get worried about her health because she looked paler by the day. He would even scoop his own rice into her plate when he felt like she wasn't eating enough.

Eventually, her brother talked things out with Yunji and she realised that what she was doing was very wrong and immediately returned back to a healthy diet, but exercising soon became a habit and she couldn't stop, it wasn't a bad thing though. She ignored all the stupid and hurtful comments from the bullies and continued working hard in her studies and doing whatever she did on a daily basis.

As time passed by and Yunji grew older and she was finally graduating middle school. It was that year when her father's company needed someone to replace the person in charge of the branch in Korea as the former person in charge had passed away. The ceo of the main branch requested for Yunji's father to move to Korea to replace the former ceo as he knew that Yunji's father was Korean. The whole family moved to Korea and it was quite hard for Yunji to settle down. She was very used to the American culture and even the clothes she wore were less conservative. Making friends were quite hard because the students in her class were on the shy side, but as time passed the students warmed up to each other and eventually, Yunji made a group of close friends she can safely trust.

It's probably because she grew up in America and due to the people there being less conservative, she naturally became like that too. Due to this trait, Yunji never had problems making new friends in new schools and naturally had a lot of friends too.

Because of this trait, Yunji has no problem in making friends or starting conversations. Sometimes she gets out of hand and starts chattering away even though no one is listening. It annoys the crap out of her friends sometimes (or most of the times) but she can't help it.

Yunji had strict parents so she spent a lot of time studying. Due to this, she learnt much faster than the other students in her class and did very well during examinations, usually scoring first in level

Yunji likes taking risks. She likes it when she can feel adrenaline pumping in her veins and likes going on adventures. Due to this trait, she has experience a lot of things such as bungee jumping, eating insects and even mountain climbing.

This trait causes her to be VERY LOUD and she's probably the loudest spectator if she was cheering for a friend. Her overflowing enthusiasm causes her to do embarrassing things like do a freestyle cheer routine in public and would probably cause her to scream in a library too.

Yunji doesn't really like to listen to others because she wants to feel like she's independent. Despite the many times she didn't take her friends' advices, she never learnt from her lesson and continued being stubborn. Overall, she just wants to make desicion for herself.
