  1. (((For the beginning of this script, the character is terrified.)))
  2.
  3. Who's there?
  4.
  5. (((Whispering to herself:)))
  6. Please no more wolves. Please no more wolves.
  7.
  8. Oh. A hunter. The next worst thing.
  9.
  10. Well, I suppose I knew you were coming. I am stuck in your trap after all.
  11.
  12. The bars of this cage are sturdy. The wolves gnawed at them all night while I cowered in here, but they could never get in.
  13.
  14. But the bars won't keep me safe from you, will they?
  15.
  16. What are you going to do to me? The floor of the cage is littered with scraps of raw meat, so you must have done something terrible to the last occupant...
  17.
  18. But whatever it is, it can't be worse than what...what the wolves would have done to me.
  19.
  20. Wait...sir hunter, you just...opened the cage door. I don't understand.
  21.
  22. Am I free to go?
  23.
  24. I don't understand. Didn't you set this trap so you could capture some poor, helpless bunnygirl? To have her as your pet, or your slave, or maybe even your dinner? Am I not good enough for any of those things?
  25.
  26. The cage was...for the wolves?
  27.
  28. Are you hunting wolves?
  29.
  30. Heh. "Invasive species." I like that. That definitely describes them. This forest was a paradise for us bunnygirls until they moved in. Now it's a nightmare. We're lucky to survive each night.
  31.
  32. I guess the meat in the cage is just...bait for the wolves then.
  33.
  34. And you're just going to...let me go back into the forest?
  35.
  36. I'm...I'm sorry for misjudging you, sir hunter. If you're hunting the wolves, and you're not going to hurt me...you must be a good person. Thank you for letting me go.
  37.
  38. But...
  39.
  40. (((In a very small voice:)))
  41. I...I don't want to.
  42.
  43. I said I don't want to.
  44.
  45. It's safe in the cage. I don't want to leave.
  46.
  47. I mentioned wolves before. Well, we bunnygirls spend our lives running from them. Just like I was doing last night. We're just food to them. If they caught me, they tear me apart and eat every piece.
  48.
  49. And, while I was running, I saw your cage. It looked strong. The wolves were gaining on me. I made a choice. I decided to get caught in your trap, because maybe the wolves wouldn't be able to get me. I was right. They gnawed on the bars all night, just inches from me. It was terrifying, but...I was safe.
  50.
  51. I'm tired of running from the wolves, sir hunter. I'm tired of being terrified for my life each night. I don't want to go back out where the wolves are. I want to stay in the cage.
  52.
  53. Please don't make me go back into the forest, sir hunter. I'll die out there.
  54.
  55. (((She lets out a surprised yelp.)))
  56.
  57. Sir hunter! No, please, don't drag me out. You're so much stronger than me, I can't...
  58.
  59. Oh...you're actually holding me really gently. It feels...almost nice. Your arms are so strong, they almost...they almost feel as safe as the cage.
  60.
  61. Where are you carrying me to, sir hunter? We're nearing the forest's edge.
  62.
  63. You're taking me to...your home?
  64.
  65. Did...did you change your mind about keeping me as a pet? Should I start calling you "Master?"
  66.
  67. No? You just...want to give me a safe place to be? I...I see.
  68.
  69. Well then, I...I appreciate your generosity, sir hunter. Four sturdy walls and a roof sound...it sounds warm and safe. So unlike what the forest has become.
  70.
  71. Hm? Um, I can walk if you want me to, sir hunter. But, if you wouldn't mind...I'd kind of like for you to keep carrying me.
  72.
  73. Is that okay?
  74.
  75. Thank you, sir hunter.
  76.
  77. I am looking forward to "home."
