The ship began to circle protectively as Axel and Gella ran back toward the wreckage of Kyong's shuttle. Nearby, the octagonal building Gella and Orin had previously snuck into had been destroyed from a fallen pirate ship. Some of the walls had layered upon each other. "I swore I saw Path members hide under here, right before we crash-landed," Axel said.
"That's where they went.? Gella put her blasters away. "Stand back, and cover the opening when I expose it."
Axel trained his blaster on the ground, crouching low, while the Pathfinder ship fired on Path members approaching at a distance.
Gella reached out with her hands, lifting and flipping one wall of the building at a time. It must have been strenuous for her, as she was concentrating so hard that perspiration dampened her face. She’d flipped three walls before Axel called out.
"Stop. Look, there's a trapdoor in the rubble."
