The Last City. The last bastion for Humanity. Situated just below the slumbering Traveler, its might at rest, while its Guardians protected the walls for centuries. Every battle, every offensive, the walls held strong. But then the Red Leigon came, and their power was stripped, and their walls were breached. But Guardians do not give in. They do not retreat. Through willpower and strength, they regained their Light, and awoke the Traveler. The Red Legion was defeated, but their war left its scars. The walls, the stability that had protected Humanity for so long, was no longer safe. No longer could the Vanguard remain isolationist. Allies were becoming more and more valuable. And while the Fireteams search the stars for their calling, there are many stories told within the Walls of the Last City, and many legends are forged, from both Guardians, and Non-Guardians alike. Times are changing, and with the ever-present claws of Darkness surrounding them, it is time for the unseen to become seen, and for the past to remain in its place.

Arc One: Cause and Effect

Fireteam Zeta was sent on a mission, reports of a Hive structure performing ritual to drain the recently awoken Traveler's light. After the team made contact with the Hive, all communications went silent. A team was being prepped to retrieve the lost Fireteam, but that was before Zeta responded with having escaped the trap laid for them, with the help of an...unforeseeable ally. Scout Captain Yolzek, reported from an unknown House, House Redemption, has requested the aid of the Vanguard. Fireteam Zeta vouchers for this strange Eliksni's permission to enter the City, and with weary agreement, the first Eliksni steps foot in the City as a envoy to her House. However, she is no normal Fallen, for she bears her own Ghost, and her own techniques to wield the Light, and claims that there are many more of her kind. And yet, her House is in danger, her Kell is in need of aide. The air is still, the Fallen and Humanity have always been at dire staits, but here and now? It is a question, of will the scars of the past remain firm to bridge the gap for new allies, or will old wounds open, and leave Guardians to doom?
