  1. [13:59] Kirsi phased out of the wall, flickering into sight as they faded out of their ethereal form.
  2. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4.
  5. [13:59] Syracuse Fengari says, "Huh, you don't say."
  6. [13:59] Syracuse was back in his cell, out of line of sight of the wall Kirsi phased through. A shame all things considered.
  7. (Syracuse Fengari)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [13:59] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Ahm.. Helloo."
  11. [14:00] Cortel Ergans asks, "Hello there?"
  12. [14:01] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "..So.. Ah.."
  13. [14:01] Syracuse Fengari asks, "Hey, you're. . . Uh, honestly I forget. What's up?"
  14. [14:01] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Oh-"
  15. [14:01] Kirsi glanced upwards, hazel eyes narrowed for a moment, before returning to Syracuse.
  16. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [14:02] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Th'ceiling."
  20. [14:02] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Says gullible on it actually, funny thing."
  21. [14:02] Syracuse Fengari asks, "You sure?"
  22. [14:02] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Yah. Weird they'd write that in a prison though."
  23. [14:03] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "And on th'ceilin."
  24. [14:03] Cortel Ergans says, "W"
  25. [14:03] Syracuse Fengari says, "Oh, ok I was jsut checking. "
  26. [14:03] Syracuse Fengari says, "Sometimes I see stuff that ain't there."
  27. [14:03] Syracuse nodded it all checked out, he wasn't crazy.
  28. (Syracuse Fengari)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [14:04] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 asks, "Ya ever think maybe it is there and other folks just cannae see it?"
  32. [14:04] Syracuse Fengari says, "All the time."
  33. [14:04] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, ".. Huh."
  34. [14:05] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 exclaims, "Well!"
  35. [14:05] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Uhm."
  36. [14:05] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "I was gonna ask ya some questions but now I've forgotten.."
  37. [14:05] Syracuse Fengari asks, "Wanna play some dice then?"
  38. [14:06] With a smooth motion he'd reach into a pocket and pull out a cup and two dice. Holding them up to the knight.
  39.
  40. "Eh?"
  41. (Syracuse Fengari)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [14:07] Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤 says, "Oh.. Eh.. If ya teach me th'rules to th'game I suppose."
  45. [14:12] Sryacuse face split into a wide smile. He'd stroll up to the bars of the cage. Sitting down in front of it he'd reach the cup and dice through. Setting them down on the ground.
  46.
  47. "It's really simply you see, one of us will roll the dice. The other will call whether the combined numbers of the dice will be even or odd."
  48.
  49. As he spoke he'd hold up the two dice, putting them in the cup and shaking it a bit before sitting it down on the ground. The cup hid the dice, "Odd!", as he yelled he'd rais the cup. The fist dice was a one, the second a three. All together it was a four which is an even number.
  50.
  51. "Viol'la, I would have lost that round of betting. Of which we shall bet ten coins a round."
  52.
  53. He'd then put the dice back in the cup, sitting it top up on the ground in front of the cell as he looked at the knightly figure. At the same time he'd simply pull out ten golden coins and put them on the ground. His bet.
  54.
  55. "Any questions?"
  56. (Syracuse Fengari)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [14:22] As he approached the bars the redhead shifted their weight from foot to foot, a glance spared toward the door- Then back again, toward him, as the dice rattled about in the cup. They cocked their head to one side, following the sequence of events internally. When all was said and done, they offered a little nod of acknowledgement. To show they understood.
  60.
  61. They shifted forward a step, and sat themself on the other side of the bars. From one of many internal pockets of their cloak they drew a small pouch, counting out a few coins to place upon the ground. Ten in total, each one a little worn but still rather shiny.
  62.
  63. Hazel eyes shifted from the bet, to him, to the dice.
  64.
  65. ".. Suppose it's my go t'roll 'em? Or do ya want t'roll again n'have me guess this time?"
  66. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [14:25] Syracuse Fengari says, "I'll call."
  70. [14:26] Syracuse Fengari says, "Go ahead and roll"
  71. [14:29] ".. Alrighty."
  72.
  73. They scooped up the cup from the ground, placing a gloved hand over the top, and one at the bottom. For about fifteen seconds they rattled the dice about, then another moment as they slapped the cup down. One hand remained on the bottom, ready to reveal the dice once he had called.
  74.
  75. Their gaze remained on him.
  76. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  77. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  78.
  79. [14:31] Syracuse's eyes alighted, finally some amusement. He'd been worried he'd go crazy in this cell. This, this was the type of distraction he needed. It'd only be better if he'd had some Vodka.
  80.
  81. "Odds!"
  82.
  83. He'd use the old tried and true method of betting on the samething twice.
  84. (Syracuse Fengari)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [14:34] Kirsi tilted the cup over, revealing the dice as they had landed. An easy little bit of addition, they let out an amused huff of breath, primarily through their nostrils. A little smile spread across their lips.
  88.
  89. "Well would ya look at that. That means I won right?"
  90.
  91. A glance was spared toward the coins he'd laid out for the bet, though they met his gaze afterwards. To double-check the ruling, of course.
  92. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [14:37] The big man merely offered a bemused smirk accompanied by a shrug. He'd push the coins across the floor to them, pulling out a few more and putting them down in the now vacant betting spot.
  96.
  97. "Aye, it does. Though I wouldn't get to cocky. Lest lady luck not favor ya!"
  98.
  99. As he spoke he'd reach out and take the cup and dice, plopping the cubes into his cup and shaking it a few times. He wasn't vigorous about it, having a sort of sluggishness to his motions. Yet, he'd await for them to call it.
  100.
  101. "Call."
  102. (Syracuse Fengari)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [14:43] ".. Eh, yah, mighta just been beginner's luck."
  106.
  107. It was a fair assumption. The redhead offered a little nod, taking up the ten coins that had been won and placing them in a separate pile. They watched, after that, as he picked up the dice and started to rattle the cup about. One hand lifted to scratch the side of their head.
  108.
  109. How to call, then. Odd or even. It was all based in chance, so their decision truly wouldn't effect whether they won or lost- That was all up to the dice. So when he asked for them to call, they did not even hesitate.
  110.
  111. "Even."
  112. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [14:46] With a smug grin plastered on his face he'd slap the cup down. Giving the other man a long stare. Before pulling the cup up to reveal! A five and a three, eight. Even. His brow twitched, was he really going to lose all his money again?
  116.
  117. With a sigh he'd push the coin through the bars to the red-head. Begrudgingly pulling out another set of ten and placing them on the ground.
  118.
  119. He'd leave the dice and cup where they where. Offering that same smug grin to Kirsi.
  120.
  121. "Lucky lucky, what's your name my man?"
  122. (Syracuse Fengari)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124.
  125. [15:04] When he slapped the cup down a bit of excitement brought them to lean a bit closer, wanting to see those dice the moment they were visible. The cup was lifted- Two odd numbers, yet again. Their little smile stretched into a bright grin. Another win for them.
  126.
  127. The redhead once more shifted the won coins to the other pile, keeping the bet and their winnings separate. One hand reached forth to snag the cup afterwards, the dice soon to follow as they placed each in the confines of the cup. Only after did their gaze return to Syracuse.
  128.
  129. "Ah- Guess we skipped that part huh? M'name's Kevin."
  130.
  131. After that they started rattling the dice within the cup.
  132.
  133. "What about ya? Oh- Ahm.. Call, by th'by."
  134. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  135. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  136.
  137. [15:07] Crossed his legs as he looked at Kevin, he'd tilt his head for a moment. That sounded familiar, though perhaps not. He knew they looked familiar, probably sometime in Crafthold.
  138.
  139. "Kevin, eh? Now ain't that a stoic name. Surprised given those locks."
  140.
  141. At that point he'd lean forwards, snapping his fingers at the same time as he pointed towards the cup.
  142.
  143. "Odds."
  144. (Syracuse Fengari)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [15:09] Shai Oshura says, "Your name is not kevin it's KIRSI. "
  148. [15:09] Shai runs back out.
  149. (Shai Oshura)
  150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  151.
  152. [15:15] "What about m'hair makes tha' surprisin?"
  153.
  154. They tilted their head to one side at that, rather curious. It didn't hold them up in the game, though they didn't slap the cup down for a solid three or four more seconds afterwards. On the word, they tilted that cup to the side once more, revealing-
  155.
  156. Now this just had to be the laws of probability laughing at them.
  157.
  158. The redhead blinked a few times.
  159.
  160. "Huh.. 'nother loss for ya."
  161. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  162. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  163.
  164. [15:20] Pushed the coin through the bars, that was thirty coins. He'd kept losing, again. With a frown he'd sort of just pause on the game for a moment.
  165.
  166. Looking back up at Kirsi he'd bring his own hand up to his face, trailing a finger up it to pull back his raven-black hair.
  167.
  168. "Notice anything? It's all hues of the same. This is the norm where I'm from. Drab, stale, stagnant."
  169.
  170. He'd then point towards Kirsi's hair, a smile touching his features.
  171.
  172. "Your hair though is vibrant, full of color and life. You see?"
  173. (Syracuse Fengari)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  175.
  176. [15:28] Once more they placed those coins with the winnings pile, and turned their attention back on the dice. They'd expected him to take up the cup, as they had been doing- But their gaze lifted when that much didn't happen. Their attention remained on him as he spoke.
  177.
  178. "Oh.. I see."
  179.
  180. Kind of. Kirsi wasn't entirely sure what it had to do with anything, but they didn't mind the pause for conversation. After all, they were here to offer some amount of company. Someone to talk to when things got boring.
  181.
  182. If they got to know people in the process, that was fine by them.
  183.
  184. "So ya surprised m'name is so average despite m'colorful look.. Reminds me, though. Ya never did answer what ya name is."
  185. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  186. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  187.
  188. [15:32] Scratched his chin for a moment, he'd been keeping his name underwraps as best he could. He saw no reason to modify that strategy. So, with a flourish he'd point his thumb back towards his own face.
  189.
  190. "Fen, the name's Fen. Where'ya from Kevin?"
  191.
  192. He'd shift the game from one of dice, where he was losing viciously, to one of conversation. Perhaps he could even learn a bit more about all the people he'd seen.
  193. (Syracuse Fengari)
  194. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  195.
  196. [15:38] "Fen. Tha's different.. Simple but interestin."
  197.
  198. They lifted a hand, one finger scratching at the tip of their nose. Afterwards they gathered up the coin, seeing as how the game was on pause for now, and placed such within one of the many pockets of their cloak. Were the betting to continue, they could easily find such again.
  199.
  200. For now, they leaned forward, elbows resting upon their knees and chin propped up upon the palms of their hands.
  201.
  202. "Mn.. Crafthold's prob'ly th'best answer t'that question. I do tend t'travel about a lot, got friends in lotsa places. What about ya? Coulda sworn I saw ya about somewhere, donnae recall though.."
  203. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  204. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  205.
  206. [15:42] {ITEM} Traded 30 coins to Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤
  207. [15:45] With a sigh they'd rest their hands upon their knees. Looking towards the ceiling for a moment. They'd lost every round of the game, how was that even possible?
  208.
  209. Though it'd be only a short burst of regret. The next moment refocusing upon Kirsi. Offering a few nods as they considered the fact of it, he knew he'd seen them in Crafthold.
  210.
  211. "I'm a traveler as well, I've spent a lot time everywhere at this point. Except Tecochitlan I suppose."
  212.
  213. He'd flash a cocky grin at the other man for a second, that was no doubt what he remembered.
  214.
  215. "Alright, what did you think of the Dragon?"
  216. (Syracuse Fengari)
  217. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  218.
  219. [15:56] Gullible was not, in fact, written on the ceiling. In case he wondered still whether the redhead had been telling the truth about that. Eventually, they did want to paint the word up their somehow. It'd be funny, to be correct about it- But for now, it was a throwaway joke without impact.
  220.
  221. They hadn't forgotten though. The thought crossed their mind the moment he looked upwards. It was something they had to shove to the back of their mind before they could focus on the conversation at hand.
  222.
  223. When he spoke of a dragon, their brows furrowed.
  224.
  225. "Ain't seen or heard of a dragon save that big undead bastard that assaulted Huangzhou some time ago. Donnae think I can answer ya question if I donnae know whether ya talkin' about that one or not..
  226.
  227. Do have a question fer ya, though. Curious why ya in here. Ya seem like a pleasant sorta guy, fer th'most part."
  228. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  229. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  230.
  231. [16:00] He kept looking at the word gullible, it was pretty amusing that it'd been up there. He wondered why a Huangzhou jail would have that painted on their ceiling.
  232.
  233. Shifting his gaze back down to Kirsi, again, he'd offer a smile. Snapping his fingers at the mention of the undead dragon.
  234.
  235. "Aye, that'd been the one. I recall seeing your shield in the middle of the battle."
  236.
  237. Rolling onto the next thread of conversation seeming to enjoy the game of questions. Certainly better than sitting in silence.
  238.
  239. "I attacked Towah, I lost. So, he brought me to jail. Though if anyone asks I was just sightseein, bwahahah!"
  240. (Syracuse Fengari)
  241. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  242.
  243. [16:07] "Oh.. Mmn.. Thing was nigh suffocatin' with its presence, could hardly do anythin' t'keep that thing's control of electricity from hurtin' folks there.. Was scared shitless really.
  244.
  245. Donnae have many thoughts on it, couldnae think much but 'oh shit.'"
  246.
  247. Simple as that. They'd been quite a bit younger then, far less well-versed in the ways of battle. In truth it had been one of the first major fights they'd seen, and the carnage afterwards still gave them nightmares. Their only consolation was the memory of what came after. How they had helped the restless spirits which lingered move on.
  248.
  249. ".. Why'd ya go n'attack 'em? Was he like.. doin' somethin ya didnae like? Or was that just th'sort of 'hey ya came into a place I donnae want ya t'be lets duke it out' thing that some folks do."
  250. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  251. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  252.
  253. [16:17] Tapped his index finger against the floor for a few moments. Really the battle against the undead dragon had been a helluva thing. He'd have gotten his first real taste of war at that point.
  254.
  255. Though, it clearly wasn't the conversation the other man wished to have. Or perhaps he was imagining the slight discomfort it was causing them. Either way he'd reply, his voice still a bit hoarse but mostly healed at this point.
  256.
  257. "I wanted to subdue him, prove that I was strong enough. Simple as that. Oh, and I was walking up to his tower. So, I suppose it was inevitable."
  258. (Syracuse Fengari)
  259. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  260.
  261. [16:24] "Huh.. Never did understand what folks' fascination with provin' themselves th'strongest fighter about. Seems kinda pointless t'me, since all it's gonna do is lead t'more fightin. No progress s'gonna be made. Nothin changes.."
  262.
  263. They drew a deep breath after this remark, letting it out slowly as their gaze wandered to the ground before them. Following the grain of the wood, where footsteps had worn down the wood, the seems where one plank met the next.
  264.
  265. "And in th'process, lotsa folks die.
  266.
  267. Or get caught, like ya are now, only t'maybe die later.
  268.
  269. .. S'real.. unfortunate."
  270. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  271. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  272.
  273. [16:30] Could only offer a shrug, he couldn't argue that it wasn't stupid. He knew it was stupid before he'd done it.
  274.
  275. "Sometimes, you have to do stupid things for those you care for."
  276.
  277. He'd not offer much elaboration on that. What did it matter to a stranger if he'd done it for his lord? He'd failed regardless, only proving the loss of faith more and more true.
  278.
  279. "Death's a terrible thing, it should be reserved for those who are irredeemable. Yet, it isn't."
  280.
  281. He'd twirl a finger along the boards, as if tracing the curling of the wood.
  282.
  283. "If they choose to execute me, then I suppose I'll be seeing what the next world has to offer. I can't imagine it's anything as colorful as this one."
  284. (Syracuse Fengari)
  285. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  286.
  287. [16:41] "I can see why folks would fight fer other folks.. I guess. But still, if th'fight is stupid in gen'ral ain't it better t'try and point that out? Help th'folks ya care about see reason, make th'world safer by not wavin' harmful magics n'pointy things toward other folks..
  288.
  289. Not makin' folks want t'execute ya based on who ya fight for."
  290.
  291. At that, they paused briefly, brows furrowed, lips pursed.
  292.
  293. "'Course ya might get outta this, I could be wrong, but.. Point stands."
  294.
  295. The redhead shifted to sit upright, their hands falling to fold upon their lap now. Their head lulled to one side, ginger locks falling across their face until the moment they let out a puff of breath to shift them away. It wasn't much, but it was enough.
  296.
  297. "Ain't much one person can do, but if everyone tried a little, th'status quo wouldnae be uh.. well, th'status quo anymore. Things could definitely change fer th'better. Just takes a bit of effort."
  298. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  299. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  300.
  301. [16:49] Now, Syra offered a warm smile. That was exactly the thoughts he'd like to encourage. He'd bring a hand up to run through his raven-locks.
  302.
  303. "I'm a firm believer in the Dream friend. A Utopia could be within our reach. Of course, there are many who oppose such a hope."
  304.
  305. Tilting his head ever so slightly in a moment of reflection, the jingle of golden chains echoed in the cell.
  306.
  307. "The problem is that not everyone believes as such. They stick to old hatreds, old grudges."
  308.
  309.
  310. (Syracuse Fengari)
  311. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  312.
  313. [17:05] "For.. some folks, it is rational and very much just human t'hold those grudges, though. 'Specially against folks that donnae die, folks that outright murder. Like ahm.. Undead folks. Demons. Them lot tend t'be a lot less altruistic than their goals might seem on th'surface.
  314.
  315. Neo wants t'protect his family, but t'do so he perpetuates th'cycle. Ipos wanted t'raise humanity beyond its limits, but t'do so he found conquerin' Agartha th'only pheasible way t'get everyone t'listen. I ain't even sure what Arthur intended by raisin' that army which used t'roam about.
  316.
  317. .. And.. on th'flipside.."
  318.
  319. They paused there, a slow breath escaping them. A sigh, as they recalled not so long ago how things had went down. How many times the folks here had been implored to help. How many times they denied offering any assistance.
  320.
  321. It was a miracle Gehenna pulled through in the end regardless.
  322.
  323. "There're folks just too stubborn t'give a little ground. T'stop bein' so zealous, and maybe fix th'more immediate issues 'fore worryin' about th'damn morality of things. It's a whole lot easier t'get ya point across when ya ain't shoutin' over th'ragin' fires of a battlefield I tell ya. Ain't no compromises t'be made.
  324.
  325. But.. so few folks listen.."
  326. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [17:22] Li would enter the prison, unexpectedly he could see another individual inside the building, busy talking with one of the prisoners.
  330.
  331. The blacksmith would take a good look toward the unknown man, his mind would search through his memory any kind information that could be connected with the man's visage.
  332.
  333. It would take him few second of deep thought, before he would recognize the individual.
  334.
  335. >
  336.
  337. The man would sigh, he wondered why no one knew about the fact that nobody could enter the prisons beside the members of the two aforementioned organization.
  338.
  339. Li would take some step toward the man which, if he payed attention, would have already noticed him thanks to the sound of the door.
  340.
  341. "Good day young man. May I know the reason why you are in here, talking with the prisoner?"
  342.
  343. As the investigator said so, he would turn his gaze toward the Nerie inside the cell.
  344. It seemed his appearance had deteriorated.
  345.
  346. >
  347.
  348. Li would take some step toward the Fen, before sliding through the bar a little box which name was known by Huangzhou's citizen as Bento.
  349.
  350. "Take this."
  351.
  352. If the Neries would open the bento, he would find a set of Maki Rolls neatly arranged with a tiny dish containing soy sauce.
  353.
  354. "It was supposed to be my lunch, but from your look, I assume you might need it more than me."
  355. (Li Minobu)
  356. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  357.
  358. [17:22] Leaned forward, his sienna eyes resting easily upon the other man. It was the opinions of someone who could perhaps see the Dream. Someone, with a bit of a push might agree that there was only one true path ahead.
  359.
  360. "Not all undead wish only to cause harm, and those that do are often like that due to the cruelness of their Necromancers."
  361.
  362. He'd give a sigh, it wasn't something that the holy arts. Yet, where could he begin when it came to explaining that?
  363.
  364. "You see the Holy Art is supposed to bring back people, not soldiers, not monsters. It's just that like all things, without proper training those who learn the art use it for their own selfish whims. I saw it a lot in Dawn."
  365.
  366. He'd shake his head, the flashes of the Ultovexian Nightmares and the legions of House Rowan easily settled upon his minds eye.
  367.
  368. "As for the demons? They are what they are. I won't argue for the Yokai beyond Agartha. Forthey are the monsters Kraus's angels believed them to be. Corrupted by their own cruel imperfections."
  369.
  370. He'd raise a finger, pointing upwards towards the non-existant Gullible written on the ceiling. Perhaps hinting that it was more true than he'd like to admit.
  371.
  372. "Though, I've seen those of Agartha. They're smarter, kinder, more willing to work with us. They could be valuable allies in the pursuit of our utopia. After all, they're creations of Kraus same as we are. They've suffered from the same imperfections of his design. Why would we leave them alone to wallow in an flawed world?"
  373.
  374. He'd flash a kindly smile at that. It was far to cruel to abandon them just because of what they are. He knew a lot of them where nothing more than savage beast, but, then again so were most of Humanity.
  375.
  376. "I never knew Neo or Ipos, Arthur though? I've heard of. He wanted to rule, so he tore the souls of the dead back from the Lifestream and forced them into shambling wrecks. He's not one of the faithful, anyone could tell from his disregard to their well-being."
  377.
  378. He'd remember the masses of the undead that had assaulted Huangzhou. He recalled cleaving through them with his mighty axe. The Dream's Requim upon his lips, singing to the heavens as he dived into battle.
  379.
  380. "I do not agree with war, the masses should not die for the will of the few. It is simply not how the world should work. If you've an issue with an individual take it up with them. I would only accept a war, if every citizen of that society wished with their being to engage int he act."
  381.
  382. He'd tilt his head as he spotted Li in the background. However, this did not stop his word nor slow his opinions. He was tired and starting to feel his jewels cannibalizing effects deep in his being.
  383.
  384. "Perhaps, if Agartha could be united under the dream. If it could be convinced that Humanity, the Fae, and the Demons could all exist in harmony. . . Maybe there'd be a chance to fulfill the Dream?"
  385.
  386. It was a wishful thought, one that he knew was just that. A thought.
  387. (Syracuse Fengari)
  388. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  389.
  390. [17:34] Syracuse picked up the small bento box, he'd never seen one like this. No, that wasn't true. He searched through his memories, he did recall this type of thing. A silver haired angel had given him.
  391.
  392. He opened the box and looked at the food. It was a Maki roll, which he always called Moki on accident. He'd look at it for a long while, but he just wasn't hungry.
  393.
  394. He simply put the lid back on the box and slid it through the bars back to Li. He'd merely offer a wain smile.
  395.
  396. "I'm not that hungry, thank you though."
  397.
  398. He wasn't very hungry, that was true. Though he'd been eating less and less throughout his stay. After all he'd been here a good half a year at this point.
  399. (Syracuse Fengari)
  400. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  401.
  402. [17:34] Cortel Ergans says, "You in the back."
  403. [17:34] Cortel Ergans asks, "Any news on when I'll be free yet?"
  404. [17:34] Li Minobu says, "Not yet"
  405. [17:34] Li Minobu says, "You will have to wait"
  406. [17:34] Cortel Ergans says, "...Alright."
  407. [17:34] Li Minobu says, "but if you continue to behave properly it won't be long"
  408. [17:34] Cortel Ergans says, "I haven't done anything wrong."
  409. [17:35] Cortel Ergans says, "I've been sitting in this cell doing nothing."
  410. [17:35] Syracuse Fengari says, "I can attest to this."
  411. [17:46] Their lips parted to speak, something just at the tip of their tongue. They paused, however, when they heard the door swing open. Hazel eyes glanced toward the source, and followed the figure which entered. To his question the redhead said not a word, waiting instead. Listening to the words which he spoke to 'Fen.'
  412.
  413. Without a word they pushed that cup and the pair of dice the Neries and them had been using back toward the bars, for ease of reach. Afterwards they pushed themself to their feet, dusting off that deep blue cloak they wore. One deep breath, then they offered a rather brief summary of their reasoning. First, to 'Fen,' as he was the one they were conversing with first.
  414.
  415. "Not all wish to, but their presence in itself is harmful. Percy's a good example of ya ideas there fer undead, just as Eiphream's a good one fer what a demon could be. But both are outliers. Oddities. And even then folks here still hate 'em.
  416.
  417. .. I wont rule out th'idea others could be like 'em. It's just.. rare.
  418.
  419. And ah.. trust me, convincin' either side is like wrestlin' a greased hog in th'mud. Unless ya real strong, and can get their attention,- get a good grip- ya ain't gonna get anywhere fast."
  420.
  421. There, their attention shifted to Li.
  422.
  423. "Was playin' dice. Havin' a chat. Ain't like anyone else was keepin' 'em company- Ya donnae really get th'chance t'listen in on another perspective like this real often without th'possibility of gettin' stabbed. It's good t'learn how others view th'world.
  424.
  425. Makes fer good material when ya want t'argue one thing or another is right or wrong. Most folks donnae back up their claims with fact, just muscle."
  426.
  427. And with that, unless otherwise stopped, the redhead turned with a dramatic flare of their cloak. One step forward and their form seemed to fade out, becoming quite entirely ethereal. Visible, if barely, as though through a thick fog.
  428. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  429. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  430.
  431. [17:52] Syracuse merely listened, he wouldn't argue that his desires where far off. Or impossible, though he did have a belief that what was an outlier was merely something those afraid of progress hadn't reached for yet.
  432.
  433. However, he was a bit weary. Rather than continue discussing the rather intense piece of conversation he'd reach out and take back his dice. Putting them into is cloak smoothly.
  434.
  435. Leaning back he'd watch the redhead start to vanish. A slight frown touched his lips as they became invisible. It ruined the view of their departure a good deal.
  436.
  437. With a sigh Syra leaned back, laying upon the ground and staring up into the ceiling. Was it just him or were there more words up there than there had been before?
  438.
  439. Blinking slowly he tried to pierce together a coherent sentence from the words. However, as they kept darting around, he just couldn't make out what they where spelling. How frustrating.
  440. (Syracuse Fengari)
  441. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  442.
  443. [17:54] Li hadn't noticed the dices when he entered.
  444. The man would smile a bit after realizing what was happening inside the prisons.
  445. While it wasn't really allowed to play with prisoners, he could still sympathize with them after all it was bound to be boring staying inside in a empty cell.
  446.
  447. >
  448.
  449. Li would nod to the redhead, before realizing that he had vanished.
  450. The blacksmith would become puzzled, before realizing that Kirsi had not left the building.
  451. In fact, after a closer inspection, he could still see the man floating around.
  452.
  453. >
  454.
  455. Li would shake his head, it was unlikely so, it must had been some kind of trick or magic.
  456.
  457. "Please don't stop playing just because I have come. I will let you do your things, though I might need to spectate in order to check if nothing suspicious is happening."
  458. (Li Minobu)
  459. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  460.
  461. [17:57] There was no pause in their pace forward. Not even to acknowledge the words that were spoken. One hand shifted to tug at the edge of their cloak, tugging it a bit further around their shoulders. Another moment- Then they turned, and phased straight through the wall instead. That seemed easier, to more immediately leave the scene.
  462.
  463. Why hadn't they thought of that sooner?
  464. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  465. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  466.
  467. [17:58] Syracuse Fengari asks, "Hey, Warden, what's your name?"
  468. [18:04] Li would stand still on the spot, his eyes blinking in surprise.
  469. How did the man manage to phase through the wall?
  470.
  471. >
  472.
  473. The blacksmith would then turn his head toward the Neries, after hearing his question, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
  474. He thought the man already heard his name when he presented himself to the prankster girl, still, he couldn't blame him in case he had forgotten.
  475.
  476. "My name is Li. Li of the Minobu clan."
  477. (Li Minobu)
