Our longstanding separation keeps coming back to me
幾度願えども (Ikudo negaedomo)
no matter how much I pray

千年の暁恋い籠よ咲いて (Sen'nen no akatoki koikomo yo saite)
The sunrises of a thousand years bloom into heartbreak
三世を羽ばたけど往く世など (Sanze wo habatakedo yukuyo nado)
I fly and fly, though I have no destination

一念に流すは恋い籠の涙よ (Ichinen ni nagasu wa koikomo no namida yo)
In a single moment, the tears of heartache flow out
願わくは吾が君生き出で給え (Negawaku wa aga kimi ikiide tamae)
My wish is that you, my beloved, could come back to life

深淵に潰えて恋い籠に朽ちたら (Shin'en ni tsuiete koikomo ni kuchitara)
Even if I waste away in heartbreak, falling down into the abyss
君待つ彼方へと (Kimi matsu kanata he to)
I will wait for you, now and beyond...

恋い籠 (koikomo - heartache, being miserable because of love) is correct, it's also a pun -- 籠 (kago) is the character for "cage", as in a birdcage. Suzaku is poetically being kept in a cage because of love.
