So like I mentioned in the midweek channel, I’m reaching out to everyone to get their thoughts and opinions on a variety of things.  Before I get to the more targeted questions, is there anything you want to get off your chest about your own play, the team, the raid, the people, the game, anything?

Sure, I think as a team we're running into a problem of accountability, that is to say that the problems we were encountering last night can't wholly be attributed to 1 person most of the time cause as a team multiple people myself included may of made specific plays that made dealing with a mechanic much harder leading to a higher % of failures later on down the road at least that's my personal thoughts about why this week was a bit of a clown fiesta

One of the things that the officers talked about last night is that I think we've done a poor job of supporting you with still being new to all this. You haven't really had a consistent and skilled shadow priest to be somewhat of a mentor and help you out with things. There's a large portion of raiding and performance at this level aren't things that people necessarily come to without being told. So I asked Jake and Ed to open a conference room channel with you in Discord to try and show some of those gaps.
You seem to be a little bit on the inconsistent side with just annihilating the meters and performance or being toward the bottom, sometimes varying between weeks or nights, or even just pulls
I think some of that just comes from lack of experience in knowing what to look for in your own play and from the bosses

I do have a tendency to just make do with the current resources I have available and go into things blind  sometimes if the resources aren't there which may be the reason for my swing performances sometimes, also this tuesday i may have accidentally forgotten to equip my offhand for sludgefist and shriekwing and like the first few pulls of slg which uhhh my bad

But yeah, overall I  think considering this was really only your 2nd tier, and first expansion raiding at this level you've done well, but I do think you'd benefit from a mentor of sorts or someone(s) to help fillin the gaps that you don't know you don't know

Yeah I can definitely see that, biggest example being I still have trouble reviewing my logs sometimes outside of the easy stuff, and also making the leap from log review to actual in game performance changes can be hard especially if you don't know how to find what you need to change in the first place

honestly feel like I may need a bit of a break soon, I thought i'd be fine to go again since ive been sitting for a few weeks but even then making sure my character is well geared and up to snuff is draining me a bit and I do feel like I need to step out within one of the next few resets for a week or two so I dont end up hating the game plus I have exams coming up soon too so it'd be nice to only have to worry about 1 things for a bit

I think that sounds like a good idea. I was somewhat surprised that more people didn't want to take a week or so off after progression. I think doing stuff like that is very important for a lot of people

I do like my surveys, thats for sure
But I think this more personal side of things is something I've let fall by the wayside too much this tier, so I'm trying to make up for lost time

Personally a bit of openness goes a long way I guess? Sometimes it feels like officer chat is a bit of a vault where yall go in and discuss a bunch  then exit when you've come to a decision which is nice for conciseness and all  but it kind of leaves you scratching your heads sometime wondering why these specific decisions were made and kind of cuts off any input from the rest of us. Regardless yall are the officers and we put you in a position to make the choices for us, it just would be nice to at least be in the peanut gallery and see the wizard behind the machine sometimes so to speak. Or like a spark notes version of that cause you guys constantly complain officer meetings are long and awful.
