  1. Start: 6 pm, Foreautumn 28, 401 GA
  2.
  3. The party did battle with the Allips. Ryardynin realizes Allips are said to be mad souls stripped of their bodies after death, which embody madness. They are of this plane, and are the twisted creations of necromancers. These particular Allips appeared warped and altered to impressive degrees. They appeared to be wearing magic items. Furthermore, he realized it was quite likely the Unseen Eye did not create these creatures herself.
  4.
  5. Rightly anticipating reinforcements, Emilia sealed off the farthest stretch of the chamber using an ice wall. She later found her suspicions to be correct, when Maegwyn attempted to enter the battle, unsuccessfully.
  6.
  7. Alasdair heroically endured the brunt of the Allips' energy draining attacks, and Pan finished off the creature known as Penumbra. The creature known as Impresence escaped shortly after its ally fell. The party pursued it back into the Unseen Eye's chamber.
  8.
  9. They decided to speak with the Unseen Eye once again. The Unseen Eye repeated her request of Ryardynin once more, evidently regretting the shred of hostility she showed him previously. He reinforced he did not view himself as even being this Mortwin, and certainly is not responsible for his crimes. She replied with how symbolically meaningful the gesture was to her, and how it was involved in breaking the seal. An apology alone would not, of course, break the seal by itself, but it was a component of the binding.
  10.
  11. They spoke on the nature of Mortwin and the Unseen Eye's entanglement, and a bit on the Unseen Eye's entanglements with previous iterations of the party. Evidently, Mortwin betrayed her and bound her here. They were lovers. She seemed to not have strong opinions on Cyrak, the knight, or Elias, the mentalist, although she somewhat disliked Emilia's previous iteration, Ilishlu. She vowed to assist the party in their war, and spoke of how Yolrud was destined by the cycle to perish. She did not seem to realize if it was possible for the party to intervene, but spoke to the possibility of differences in what was predetermined, so perhaps such a thing is possible.
  12.
  13. Through further exploration of nuance and conversation, the party made a few notable realizations.
  14. - It would be a very complicated and evil action to release the Unseen Eye. She does not wish you ill. She is being honest and fairly forthright.
  15. - The Unseen Eye wishes to 'continue her work' once freed, to the betterment of the war. She did not specify further, but volunteered this information.
  16.
  17. The party deliberated on the subject. The Unseen Eye offered to hold her forces at bay, and allowed them to safely rest in her chamber, if they so chose. They agree ultimately to assist her. Emilia summons rust monsters to corrode the cage, and Pan bends reality to remove the antimagic field. Finally, Ryardynin removes the seal he placed here to imprison a lover he once had many dreams ago, as the man he was lifetimes ago, when he had experiences and emotions, plans and desires foreign to who he is today.
  18.
  19. The Unseen Eye was genuinely grateful. She briefly appeared to consider double crossing the party, but reconsidered her course of action. She spoke of how she intended to send her Fleshwarped Monstrosities, accompanied by psions, to Monolith Isle, and how their troops should be instructed not to attack them, as she would instruct her troops not to attack their allies.
  20.
  21. She offered a 'few' cognizance crystals as thanks, along with the alliance and military support.
  22.
  23. It was at this time the Unseen Eye volunteered a rather important piece of information. She revealed every upheaval ends with Yolrud's death, and the veil being mended. If the outer gods of chaos are not destroyed, the cycle is doomed to repeat. The only final solution is to upset the balance and destroy those gods. This has never happened in any cycle. For this to happen, the Archons would have to take the fight to the Beyond and personally contend with these 'aberrations', and potentially end this samsaric cycle once and for all, if such a thing could be done.
  24.
  25. The party and the Unseen Eye parted ways. Maegwyn awkwardly interacted with them, giving 2 17 point cognizance crystals to Pan. They requested she collect Dramira and Bertulf from the jail. She explained she did not know where Bertulf was, but he may be among the cocooned victims. She made good on her word, and brought the party Dramira. Through a series of events, they found the creature who was once Bertulf among the cocooned victims.
  26.
  27. After slaying the monster, Emilia managed to resurrect Bertulf into a child version of himself. He explained how his sister fled the Free Folks camp, seeking a 'better life' and deceived him to come to the enclave of the Unseen Eye, where he was immediately experimented on, because he did not possess psionic gifts. Dramira explained how she was imprisoned here for stealing from the cult, of all things.
  28.
  29. Dramira tried to weasel her way out of justice, but ultimately, Emilia casted geas on her. It contained the following provision: Atone for your crimes, do not put others at risk. Dramira was given to child Bertulf to face trial at the camp.
  30.
  31. Emilia normally reincarnated the other victims.
  32.
  33. Duration of Yolrud's holdout on Monolith Isle: 0 weeks, 1 day, 11 hours
  34. Time until the next eclipse: 4 days, 11 hours
  35. XP: 4,600
  36. End: 9 pm, Foreautumn 28, 401 GA
