  1. from /hhg/ Hazbin Hotel general #553 and #557
  2. part 1: https://pastebin.com/AsLWhwrP
  3. ----
  4. Sir Pentious' is unique in the sense that he has multiple good endings, despite being an overlord, who typically just get redemption as their good ending.
  5. Also, he and Cherri have contrasting Bad Ends as well.
  6.
  7. >No Greater Than God
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKRHWT6xdEU&feature=emb_title
  9. (instrumental version of the song)
  10. "Lay down you tools, master..."
  11. The Good Ending: Pentious learns humility and is accepted into Heaven, reuniting with his wife and son.
  12.
  13.
  14. >Peaceful? Retirement
  15. (no song, just the general ambience of the Hotel)
  16. "Might as well give it a jolly try..."
  17. Basically, Sir Pent just gives up and joins the Hotel, as it provides him with a safe home against Cherri, and Angel isn't allowed to hurt him. One of the good endings.
  18.
  19.
  20. >For King and Empire
  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSb4j61HFbI&feature=emb_title
  22. (sounds like it's being played from loudspeakers, with a notable echo, but it is soon drowned out by the sound of aircraft engines, followed by the shriek of falling bombs)
  23. "Britannia Rules the Skies"
  24. Neutral-ish ending: Sir Pentious becomes a proper overlord in the form of a sky pirate (sky "corsair"), ruling over Hell's airspace with his fleet of Kirov-esque bomber airships.
  25.
  26.
  27. >Empire of Wrought Iron
  28. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uUTXJEtG5k&feature=emb_title
  29. (a version of the song which sounds more heavy industrial)
  30. "Money, dear boy"
  31. Sir Pentious had become a proper overlord through outmaneuvering the others, creating a steampunk empire which he rules with an iron fist. On the one hand, he's no longer aggressive. On the other, he can no longer be stopped.
  32.
  33.
  34. >GREAT. WORKS.
  35. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-yl4aI6xzU&feature=emb_title
  36. (the song is enhanced by heavier, more industrial-sounding percussion, but otherwise unchanged)
  37. "There's much work to be done!"
  38. After several trials and tribulations, a now half-insane Pentious has defeated all the other overlords through force, and is now on the warpath to incorporate everyone into his steampunk transhumanist technocratic empire. One of the Bad Endings.
  39. -
  40. >Indentured Science
  41. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-LQahV5pV8&feature=emb_title
  42. (the song is played in a distorted manner, constantly slowing down and speeding up, slowly being blocked out by the monotonous sound of assembly-line machinery)
  43. "From Moloch to Leviathan"
  44. Pentious finally realizes and brokenly accepts his role in helping Queen Charlotte's regime as her weapons manufacturer.
  45.
  46.
  47. >Bygone Era
  48. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87Xkr8z3lEo&feature=emb_title
  49. songs plays in an increasingly deteriorating manner, before fizzling out completely)
  50. "The sun has set..."
  51. Sir Pentious is finally defeated. Not going out in blaze of glory, nor comically swept aside or snuffed out in an instant. Old had simply met the new, and fell. Truly defeated and alone, all he can do now is ruminate, as everything he worked for falls apart.
  52.
  53.
  54. >Victory... at a cost
  55. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwYX52BP2Sk&feature=emb_title
  56. (song slowly quiets down, giving way to a wind-swept silence)
  57. "Wasted Youth"
  58. Sir Pent had finally won over Cherri Bomb... at the cost of completely breaking her and her spirit. Not only is he now a dead man walking for Angel Dust, but he had also lost the greatest rival of his afterlife, in a most shameful manner.
  59. Is this what victory tastes like?
  60.
  61.
  62. >Synergy
  63. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nJCZByO34E&feature=emb_title
  64. (the sound of explosions is added in the end)
  65. "It's better together!"
  66. Sir Pent and Cherri Bomb had teamed up to take out all the other overlords, starting with the VVV trio. One of Sir Pent's good endings.
  67. ----------
  68. Alright. Val's events are tied to Vox, Angel, and the general state of Hell.
  69.
  70. >Mended Heart
  71. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob5eCZaPJS8&feature=emb_title
  72. (the music plays amid applause, ending with someone saying "Good riddance!")
  73. "At long last, he had set his heart straight."
  74. Val's default good ending, being redeemed at the Hotel. Note that this event is conditional on Angel getting his good ending.
  75.
  76. >Fuhgedabboudit!
  77. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57Ykv1D0qEE&feature=emb_title
  78. "Best to cut our losses..."
  79. Val's default neutral ending, where he gives up his pursuit of Angel, and just pulls out of any operations against the Hotel, focusing on getting his lost revenue back through other means.
  80.
  81. >Hanging up the Coat
  82. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrojrDCI02k&feature=emb_title
  83. "Time for a breath of fresh air, time for a change of career"
  84. Val's unique neutral ending, which involves him retiring from being a pimp early, ridding himself of any lingering responsibilities he may have, and pursuing a more relaxed, "spiritual" life (whether that's through psychedelic rock or selling and consuming psychedelic drugs is not made clear).
  85.
  86. >A Change of Heart
  87. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J9NpHKrKMw&feature=emb_title
  88. (song plays softly over the sound of the Hotel's general hustle and bustle)
  89. "Turns out, there is a point to turning things around..."
  90. A unique good-ish ending to the "Hazbin Brothel" event sequence, which requires Val and Charlie switching jobs, and him proving successful as the manager of a rehabilitation Hotel (employing copious amounts of "sex therapy", but still)
  91.
  92. >Out on your Ass
  93. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNLhxKpfCnA&feature=emb_title
  94. (an increasingly louder howling of wind adds to the ambience of the song)
  95. "Back to square one..."
  96. A unique bad ending to Val, where his constant pursuit of Angel had cost him so much that it bankrupted his business and completely alienated Vox, who had no trouble kicking him to the curb, leaving him homeless, jobless and pennyless.
  97.
  98.
  99. Cont.
  100. -
  101. >Leashed
  102. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OY9OYaMxog&feature=emb_title
  103. (music is accompanied by the general din of a strip club)
  104. "Like a dog!"
  105. Another unique bad-ish ending for Val, where he ends up as Angel's personal slut. Optional after Angel's "Syndicated" event, or as part of the "Hazbin Brothel" event sequence.
  106.
  107. >The Rightful Throne
  108. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ttdt-5zdAg&feature=emb_title
  109. "Once king, now Emperor"
  110. A good-ish bad ending for Val (good for him, bad for everyone else), where he had secured every female character from the series in his employ, and has rose above the ranks of common overlords, on the verge of becoming one of the demonic nobility.
  111.
  112. >A Heart of Stone
  113. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4PKzz81m5c&feature=emb_title
  114. "A monument to hubris..."
  115. Another unique bad ending for Val, where Stolas had had enough of him, and turned him into stone for good, turning him into a public statue.
  116.
  117. >Sidelined
  118. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RW4YfSxBeAw&feature=emb_title
  119. (music plays quietly, muffled by the sound of a nightclub)
  120. "You've been outplayed"
  121. Another bad-ish ending, either following "the Lavender Flag" event, or Angel's ascension. Basically, Val's powers as an overlord and pimp are greatly diminished, leaving him as little more than an owner of nightclubs and entertainment locales.
  122.
  123. >Colossians 3:5
  124. (no music, just the sound of Val screaming, banging on a metal door, and begging for mercy, before slowly choking to death)
  125. "After all, it IS just pesticide"
  126. The cursed ending, one of the inevitable outcomes of the "Dictator Charlie" event sequence, which sees Val executed via gas chamber in front of all his former prostitutes.
