  1. I started running this game on August 20th 2018 and I wasn't a very big fan of this game originally. The main reason why I didn't like this game was because of how unforgiving it was compared to Amazing Mirror. While Nightmare in Dreamland has much less rng than katam, it is much less forgiving because of the way the game is designed expecting you to kill most enemies in your path (which is slow). Because this is slow, this makes some of the rooms very enemy spam heavy requiring you to play perfectly or else you get hit and lose your ability with it being impossible to recover in some cases. I would often blame the game for being poorly designed which I still somewhat stand by since at the end of the day, it was originally a nes game.

  3. I still played 100% because I still somewhat liked the game and wanted to get kinda good at it in a more forgiving setting. Playing Amazing Mirror also kind of spoiled me with how perfect its movement is but that's not what I want to talk about since I still feel Amazing Mirror has this strength over Nightmare in Dreamland. But here is why I am making this pastebin:
  4.
  5. **Basically I refused to put time into studying and practicing the game simply because I did not enjoy it**, and thought practicing would only make me want more out of my times slowing putting me into the rabbit hole of grinding Nightmare in Dreamland which was something I was not ready for. So I only practiced the parts that people always talked about being the most difficult (Examples: 3-4 / 6-6 / 7-2).
  6.
  7. However this is clearly not the case, since last week I have been practicing the game more and more which has made me a lot more consistent at some of the parts that I previously found the most frustrating (such as Heavy Mole / 6-1 / 6-6 / 7-4). 6-1 and 7-4 in particular included 2 enemy spam heavy rooms that I could not get through previously. After that in a matter of a few days, I dropped my pb 3:30 minutes having some of the most fun with the game I have ever had (This is also thanks to voice calls partially). Because my perspective towards this game has changed, here some things I will be going for:
  8.
  9. - My goals will stay the same, this weekend I will be getting sub 50 in 100% and then taking a big break. Still no goal for any% since I still want to try and avoid the any% grind rabbit hole.
  10. - I will (very likely) be joining the nidl tourney. 3 weeks before the tourney begins, I will grind any%. Never thought I would be saying that D:
  11.
  12. I have been practicing squeak so once I get my 100% goal. I will be focusing on squeak any%
