An ex-special services veteran (Antonio Banderas), down on his luck and desperate for work, takes a job as a security guard at a run-down mall in a rough area of town. On his first night on the job, he opens the doors up to a distraught and desperate young girl who has escaped and fled from a hijacking of the US Marshal motorcade that was transporting her to testify as a trial witness. Hot on her heels is psychopathic hijacker (Ben Kingsley), alongside his resourceful henchmen, who will stop at nothing to extract and eliminate their witness.
A security guard protects an eleven year-old girl who is being targeted by a gang for participating as a trial witness.
Nice cinematography.Action combats were also great.The acting of Antonio Bandersa was fantastic.Sometimes things don't go well for low budgeted films.But this title was exceptional.Cant remember the period I get bored with.Liam was good in the supporting role.Nice screenplay and great dialogue.I wont be surprise if the acting fron this movie is recognized for major awards.
Mr. Bandaras turns in a convincing turn as a tough military veteran with undisclosed post- traumatic stress issues forced to employ his combat skills against mall thugs. The villain, played by the great Ben Kingsley, is coolly evil and great in his role. While there are clearly some odd aspects to the setting and an overabundance of dufus Millennial mall cops in an out-of-the-way mall, the fight scenes are extremely well-staged and a dark humor surrounds the mall cop heroics. The actress was too wise for her years, as is common— and very irritating—in stories coming out of Hollywood these days, but over all was well- directed. A fun evening at the mall.
