47. A Foreign Service Officer in London tries to prevent a terrorist attack set to hit New York City, but is forced to go on the run when she is framed for crimes she did not commit.
 48. Entrusted with the task of spotting any potential terrorists and chemical specialists who try to get a visa, Kate Abbott, the genius newly-recruited security officer at the U.S. Embassy in London, senses there's something off with the Romanian doctor, Emil Balan; however, her concerns are dismissed by her boss. But, then, after a devastating bombing attack in the heart of the city, Kate will surprisingly find herself in the spotlight and on the wrong side of the law, while at the same time, targeted by the international assassin known only as the Watchmaker. Can Kate unearth the conspiracy and make it in one piece before a new act of terrorism strikes the metropolis?
 49. boring from start to finish...........acting as good as statutes and scenes as clear and interesting as mud. This movie is an exemplar of how little imagination throws together actors ending their careers in ignominy. If you can accept and connect the beginning to the plodding plot points that follow perhaps this is the movie for poor you.

ridiculous plot points arrive one after the other (I do not say one follows the other).

The writer is identified as Philip Shelby. My bet is this is a made up name. no one involved in something as uncreative as this would allow his name on the

Watch out of the director, James McTeigue. I looked him up and found him only directing stinkers since V for Vendetta.

I rated it as high as "2" for a few nicely photographed scenes of New York City on new years eve.
 50. A State Department employee newly posted to the US embassy in London, is charged with stopping terrorists from entering into the U.S. And cause crimes of terror.

That puts her right in the line of fire of said terrorists, and she is targeted for death and framed for their crimes.

Discredited, she is forced to go on the run while she tries to clear her name and stop a large-scale terrorist attack set for New Year's Eve in Times Square.

And all the while she is being chased by a mysterious assassin known as The Wathcmaker, who sometimes has a moustache, and looks a lot like The Tailor Of Panama......

It's that age old problem isn't it? Your out for dinner with friends, they forget to buy a present, so you nip out to get one. Meanwhile, the restaurant blows up, you get framed for terror crimes, and go on the run, with no one to help you but Dylan McDermott and a wheelchair bound Frances De LaTour.

These plot device is used in many thrillers of late, and until recently, I was expecting something that would rise above other mundane thrillers.

V for Vendetta is one of the greatest movies ever made, so I had high hopes in McTeigue, and Brosnan is always worth watching, even in musicals, but here it seems that everyone knows they are making a load of rubbish and give up the ghost.

Jovovich is as you'd expect since Resident Evil, it seems that she can only do two types of looks, sultry concerned, and pouting perplexed. She spends the entire film running away from Brosnan, and anyone else who has authority, and is wonderful at dodging bullets.

But it's Brosnan that makes the film just about worth watching, and not in a good way either. He's the type of Assassin who has a facial expression throughout the film that isn't too dissimilar to a palsy sufferer sucking on a lemon. Like someone trying to take a duck- face selfie as they are sitting on a cocktail stick.

And he has some strange habits. Sitting in dark rooms holding his gun, having his moustache come and go as he pleases, and taking the whole thing too seriously. He he added a touch of swagger to his character, it could have been a wonderful character arc, but as I've already said, everyone gives up the ghost.

Add Angela Bassett in a really bad mood, and Robert Forster giving us the most hilarious death scene of the year, and you have this strangely watchable odyssey.

It looks good, I'll give it that, London looks wonderful, but then a lot of celebrities look good until they open their mouth.

Watchable in a strange, guilty way, but you'll hate yourself after.
 51. Director James McTeigue frequently collaborates with the visionary Wachowski siblings, and he directed V for Vendetta. How the man who blew up Parliament in such memorably spectacular fashion can’t add some originality to Philip Shelby’s script is the movie’s only real mystery.
