Boy/Girl differences in Crystal speedruns

With our current knowledge, the girl is believed to be faster than the boy. The advantage of the girl is roughly estimated to be in the low single digit seconds; as of 6 Nov 2016, the consensus estimate is a 120 frame (~2.01 second) advantage for the girl.



[1] Known girl advantages: ~125 frames  (rough estimate)

> The girl's backsprite isn't compressed, so it loads faster than the boy's. The time save is apparently 1 frame per backsprite instance (# of instances = # of trainer battles + # of wild encounters).



[2] Known boy advantages: ~5 frames

> Picking the boy in Crystal saves 5 characters of text in an S.S. Aqua cutscene.
