Hi there,

This is the first of only 3 emails you'll be receiving about United Fleets. I do not intend to overload your inbox with updates and requests etc, as I'm sure you'll all be relieved.

Quick update: United Fleets, contrary to channel population, is actually going quite well. We have a website being made, tools ready (waiting to be hosted) and a good bunch of guys on board. Dont be put off by the lack of faces in #unitedfleets - I told most people not to idle anyway. If you want to join the chan though then fine, you should all have enough access to invite yourselves.

A quick update on the round structure:

R16 Havoc Ends October 27th
R17 Signups open November 10th @ 18:00 Game time
R17 Ticks start November 20th @ 18:00 Game time
Ticks will be Every 30 minutes
6 Planets in a Private galaxy
9 Planets in a Random galaxy
6 Galaxies in a cluster
R17 Ends on December 22nd @ 18:00 Gametime

See? Due to constant pressure from myself he's even been so kind as to offer an end date as well. So yeah, dont really need your activity for another month yet, but if you're going to be on irc, please idle.

There is a possibility that UF might enter the round under a different name, this is still being discussed right now. If the name changed it would basically be because it's a brand new command team, and I'm thinking something fresh would breathe some life into the game, rather than something that started 10 rounds ago now. Or more if you count 'fun .5 rounds'.

There will be an announcement on the planetia boards sometime over the coming days about UF's intention to play Round 17 - that will be the subject of the next email as well. The last email you get will be a reminder the get yo punk asses onto irc, closer to the time of the round.

If you have anybody you want in UF speak to either Kenny (who may alternate between Kenny and sarek on Netgamers) and Ambisagrus.
