[FFXIV] Race Sugg. - Popucri

This race is based on the lore of Elemental Crystals and their potential to become sentient, as with the "Earth Elementals." At some point in the life of the elemental, they came into contact with a source of knowledge that allowed them to transform even further than what their original elemental form could hold, and they were granted the abilities to converse as the five races do. At first, no one expected this to happen, people thought they were abominations, people who had succumbed to corrupt crystals, but unlike them, these had real intelligence, and the ability to negotiate. Their numbers are few, even to this day, and have no real language other than those learned around them. They take on the form of many variations of colors, shapes, etc. They are Androgynous, but can form into female and male forms. While they have no real clans, most classify themselves as either part of "The Umbrals" or "The Astrals." The umbrals have more calming tones, cool colors, and the astrals have more rich, vibrant tones and colors. Their eyes are solid colors, brighter, usually more white or heavy black. Their bodies have various crystals, and mostly comprised of rock, or metal. Their hair can be medium, long or short, and are completely made of strange semi-tranclucent malliable crystalline fiber. Their personalities are based mostly on their shift to Umbrals or Astrals, with Umbrals being more reserved, calm, collected, and Astrals being more fiesty, unyielding. The center of their bodies houses a rotating crystal or crystal cluster that holds together their entire being, the shape and texture is usually unique to every one of them.

The name "Popucri" comes from a portmanteau of "Populus cristallum," Latin for "Crystal People."
