The Moon Pond Story Scripting

One average day, Knuckles the Echidna was doing average things. See him? At the moment, he is sitting there watching television.

Knuckles: "ICarly? What the &@#% is this!?!? What happened to good television? Ever since they took the Hub off cable, there hasn't been a good show around! I guess it's just Providence's way of telling me to go get a life."

With that, Knuckles turned off the TV.

*knock knock knock*

Knuckles eyed the door warily.

"If it's those Jehovah's witnesses again, I swear I'll punch their-"

The mailbox clanged, and Knuckles breathed a sigh of relief. It was just the mailman. He opened the door, and leaning out, scooped up the mail.

"Junk mail, junk mail, water bill, junk mail, junk mai- ooh! What's this now?"

He pulled a magazine out of the stack of papers. On the cover, it read "Treasure Hunters Monthly". Flipping it open, Knuckles caught a glimpse of an article entitled "The Three Moon Pearls".

"Sounds interesting... Maybe it'll give me a lead on some treasure!"

For the next five minutes, Knuckles was engrossed in the story. It was a legend of a legendary princess, who lost three legendary pearls in a legendary forest called "The Moon Forest". Knuckles drank it all in, but before he knew it, he was at the end of it, and he still had no clue where this Moon Forest was actually located.

"What? No clues? A lot of help that article was!"

Tossing the magazine in a nearby wastebasket, Knuckles sat down at his computer, and did a quick Google Search.

"Am I feeling lucky? You bet your fists I am!"

Within moments, our hero Knuckles had found out the information he needed to know, and was on his way out the door. Instinctively, he opened his mailbox.

"Duh, I already checked- Now... What is this?"

Was it possible that he had missed something? Indeed he had. There in his mailbox, sat a muffin.

"A muffin? What the heck is that doing there?"

Knuckles shrugged, and walked to his car, while munching the muffin. He hopped in and started the ignition. Next moment, he was driving down the street, on his way to find some treasure.

5 hours later, he was lost. It was getting dark, and he had no clue where he was.

"Stupid map just HAD to make me take the wrong exit, didn't it? Now I'm on this road in the middle of nowhere, and I don't know how to get home."

Coming out of a tunnel, Knuckles pulled onto the dirt shoulder, to take a good look at the map. But before he had a chance to do so, a sign reading "Moon Forest Entrance" caught his attention.

"Perfect! I'm here. I knew I was feeling lucky! But dang this place is dark... It's actually kinda creepy. I better be careful."


[HERE THE LEVEL WILL START, AND THE PLAYER, UPON ENTERING THE MOON FOREST, WILL PERFORM A GRUELING SEARCH FOR THE THREE MOON PEARLS]

Luna: "Oh, you found my pearls. I'll be taking them, thank you very much!"
