53. Set 70 years after the events of "Airbender", Korra moves to Republic City to master her final element - air. With the guidance of the previous avatar Aang's son Tenzin, she has to fight crime and face a growing anti-bending movement that threatens to rip the metropolis apart.
 54. Avatar Korra fights to keep Republic City safe from the evil forces of both the physical and spiritual worlds.
 55. The best thing that could be said about "The Legend of Korra" is that it shares all the virtues from the previous series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, being a high-quality production which is also incredibly enjoyable to watch.

I really liked this series from its very beginning. Even if the first episodes feel somewhat "slow", it never fails to entertain. As the story advances, the rhythm of the series reaches a higher level of complexity, with many unpredictable plot twists.

In this series, a new cast of very characters is introduced, having each one of them many virtues and flaws that gave them a complete feeling.

The protagonist is particularly interesting, being someone who is psychically powerful, but very vulnerable and flawed in other aspects, having a great development of her personality through the 12 episodes of the first season.

There is a good interaction between all the characters (Both the new and those from the previous series) resulting in an almost flawless combination of adventure, comedy, action, romance and drama, always with a highly satisfying result.

Also, while "The Legend of Korra" keeps the essence of the classic conflict of "good against evil", it also maintains certain level of ambiguity which is more than enough to make this series something more complex and surprising that someone could think at first sight. The animation is excellent, having a nice character design, beautiful sceneries and an incredible level of detail in each scene, with fluid movements and a great use of colors and tones.

The balance between the seriousness of the plot with the comedy and romantic elements is perfect, resulting in a complete series, which has a mature and well done story-line, but which it is at the same time incredibly funny and very easy to follow.

My impression of the first season of "The Legend of Korra" is very positive. This series filled all my expectations about it (And in some aspects, it was even better than I thought that it will be) Watching this series was a very rewarding experience for me.

"The Legend of Korra" is a worthy successor of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" being one of the best animations that I have seen in my whole life.
 56. animation quality of this show was one the best i saw in any cartoon i have seen for a long time but story wise it was not so good .... season 1 was all relationshipy and the horrible triangle b/w korra , asaami and makko like horrible high school teen movies .... season 2 was OK specially the last episodes where the background of avatar world was explained ..... season 3 was also OK whose story was mostly inspired from the real life story of Chinese empire at the turn of 20th century ... the tyrant queen of earth kingdom was inspired from real life empress dowager cixi and disarray china was during her rule ... the red lotus similarly was inspired from real life white lotus society and other failed millenarian rebellions of that era .... then comes the fourth season its start was promising but i was disappointed how it went on and ended ... for korra all problems she was faced by the start of fourth season resolved to quickly without much effort from korra's part and in the end all bad guys turned out to be good but misguided ... and the last boss fight b/w korra and kuvira's super weapon the giant robot with laser cannon was also not good ... once the armor of the robot was precised the robot and laser cannon were pretty much sitting duck and korra did not even had to go to avatar state to defeat it up ....... regarding korra's own character she was pretty much immature and incompetent .... she was defeated in almost every battle and it was not for her friends she would have messed real bad ....also the writers took the feminist aspects of the show too far and made korra into a lesbian

overall i would say season 1 was horrible , season 2 and season 3 were OK while season 4 had a promising start but in the end it was pretty disappointing and everything seemed to be rushed up ......

 58. The main story of The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the last episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, although the prologue in the first episode where Korra is still a child takes place 13 years before that. Yes. An adult Aang appears in a flashback in episode nine, as do an adult Toph and Sokka. Aang's spirit first appears to Korra in the Book 1 finale, appearing the same age as the flashbacks in episode nine. For stories that take place after Avatar: The Last Airbender you can read the graphic novels from Dark Horse Comics. The three volume series called "The Promise" is a story that details how the world took its first steps toward unifying all three Bending Nations into the Republic it has become in Korra's time. A second series called "The Search" is currently in the midst of publication. These stories take place immediately after the last episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender and show the original characters at the same age as they were on television. He is General Iroh, Zuko's grandson who is named after Zuko's uncle. He is voiced by the same voice actor who played Zuko in the original series, Dante Basco. a5c7b9f00b
