  1. She alone seemed a woman who could have their mind molded to witness his future. Humans who need only be given a purpose in this life, humans who could become something greater than what they were. Those blank eyes of a violent crimson once more settling upon this forest which stretch before them.
  2.
  3. "I have witnessed it for hundreds of years. I've seen the cries of humans who strike one another down, shredding flesh from bone all in the pursuit of whatever they seek at any given time. Be it pleasing their gods, their divine figures or seeking power alone."
  4.
  5. In his heart, he knew such a desire within humans would never truly change. Without guidance, they would continually wander astray and act as they pleased. Violent, without a care for this world so graciously given by the hands of divinity.
  6.
  7. "Humans are incapable of making choice on their own. I have witnessed that, my Fallen brothers and sisters have all witnessed that. Still, many refuse to accept such a truth which I had proclaimed the only way to save this species."
  8.
  9. His head shook from side to side, her words still held an ounce of truth to them in the end.
  10.
  11. "Submission brings purpose, given unto those by the divine above. No more needing to find a purpose on your own which so many humans struggle with, given until the final moment you pass. That was what I have offered to humans, that is what I will always offer to humans."
  12.
  13. Then, came the mention of a blade.
  14.
  15. "Yet, it is those which oppose such a truth and kindness which need only struck down. Submission brings purpose, yet rebellion, those who cling to the ways of old will be met with death. I am kind, yet I remain stern."
  16.
  17. His gaze, tilting upwards to look upon those many shining stars above.
  18.
  19. "And even if they stand to oppose me all their life. So long as they submit upon the doors of death, I will grant them the kindness I have given all others. To free humans from the shackles of choice, that which binds each of them. Without our guidance, without a shepherd as you said, you would all wander astray."
  20.
  21. Those blackened wings pushed outwards, feathers stretched as gaze leveled upon Ohtli once more.
  22.
  23. "So, I ask again. So that I may prevent further death, so that I may instill a purpose upon all of humanity. One which none may be dissatisfied with, why do you humans still oppose your new future? Your next step in evolution?"
  24. (Akasha)
  25.
  26. Magdalen is just walking through the forest, sister and warrior in tow. Idly, she's talking - though such talk is over once a voice is heard. A very particular voice.
  27.
  28. Eyes narrow into suspicion as she climbs the hill to see two winged figures. And yet - she doesn't draw her weapon. Instead, she crosses her arms and stares at the black-winged resolutely.
  29.
  30. As unyielding as the shining marble that her skin shares such coloration with.
  31.
  32. The stalwart woman speaks in that softened voice of hers, even as she can't help but have a few wispy embers of gold drift from her exorcism-stained eyes!
  33.
  34. "I can answer your question. I want knowledge, however. A trade.
  35.
  36. It's a simple thing, as well, for an Angel. I want to know the composition of the soul - how it may be created, as only Angels can make souls."
  37.
  38. A soft-spoken demand, given to the crimson-eyed one. Is she even in a place to be making demands? Regardless, it's a show of bravado, a visage put up even if she's honestly a little scared - the presence of a Fallen is the only thing that can really scare her.
  39. (Magdalen Elisheva)
  40.
  41. This is the last thing she'd expected to witness within the woodlands of Levengard. Spectral orbs begin to swirl, and ire floods her very being the moment the lock onto the fallen angel. An amalgamation of emotions floods through her, yet the most potent is the feeling of...
  42.
  43. Hate.
  44.
  45.
  46. "Without free will all you have is fate." In some regards, she can't help but agree with the angel, but in others? This woman hates the idea of clinging to a god for the sake of finding morality; secular morality is best in her opinion.
  47.
  48. Following your heart.
  49.
  50. "..but, not everyone fights for a god, or divinity. I fight, because of the twisted creatures that seek to tear this world apart. I wage war, something I despise, in order to make a change. It isn't for power, or fame. It isn't for merit or glory. It is to kill. To kill those who choose to harm and corrupt the innocent."
  51.
  52. Thus, she summarizes in the bluntest way she possibly can.
  53.
  54. "This might sound hilarious coming from me, but your generalization of humanity is the only reason why power hungry sheep who can't think for themselves will follow you."
  55. (Thera Elisheva)
  56.
  57. Following after both of his aunts, the youngest Kang feels a bit wary on the journey..
  58.
  59. As they make their way towards the tower, something felt chilling, haunting, yet familiar. As they finally come into view, Percival realizes exactly what he was feeling.
  60.
  61. the presence of the fallen. He winces at the fact.
  62.
  63. And regardless of what Magdalen wished, Percival drew his blade, holding it in his offhand. He didn't want it to be here. Regardless, he'd answer it's question.
  64.
  65. "I fight against your future because it's against the natural order. Because what you want is wrong.
  66.
  67. But you've fallen, so you don't have half of a competent braincell to comprehend that." He spoke.
  68. (Percival Kang)
  69.
  70. The old bird remains calm even still, her hands layered atop the pommel of the Shengese sword. Inhale, exhale, as a breeze passes over the grove of trees.
  71.
  72. Strangely, the conversation reminds her of another she'd had once before, somewhere in a tower with an old sea snake. If she closes her eyes, just for a moment, she can still catch whiffs of the musty old books and the faint breeze that came in through the cracks in the stone.
  73.
  74. Then it's gone as she regards all those gathered in the little clearing again.
  75.
  76. "Humanity will always enjoy its choice, its freedom. I'd wager that no matter what you pick that, so long as you are forcing even a small measure of people, there are those that will not be satisfied. There are so many types and breeds that there is no true way to be certain."
  77.
  78. No particular feeling washes off her in general in this moment. She is calm, collected in the center of the forest she looks after. However there is aslight purse to her lips. For what reason? It's undetermined.
  79. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  80.
  81. Thera Elisheva picks up Mana X.
  82.
  83. "I see."
  84.
  85. Had been all this man spoke unto those present as each spoke of why so little would come to follow him. Violent crimson amidst the eyes of Akasha would settle upon Thera first and foremost.
  86.
  87. "Purpose through submission. With purpose, you would have no need to fight back against the corrupt. You would have little need to draw your blade against any, as all would be given purpose just as you."
  88.
  89. Harsh and cold was a touch which had soon settled upon each present. The sickly aura which spilled outwards from this divine figure, feeling as though a hand had wrapped around the hearts of each present.
  90.
  91. Constraining each and every beat. Ready to squeeze and crush away their existence, as something inside of themselves was being tugged and pulled all the same.
  92.
  93. "You'd need only look to your shepherds as your Elder here had said."
  94.
  95. Then, came a glance to Percival.
  96.
  97. "... Naught but a child. Though, if what I offer is wrong. Freedom from choice, from bloodshed and violence. Do you truly believe how you humans have it now is correct? Do you all firmly believe that you needn't a god to guide you, you need only yourselves and your carnal instincts?"
  98.
  99. Finally, his gaze focused upon Magdalen.
  100.
  101. "Even now one of your own seeks guidance from divinity. It's your natural state to look towards us for answers. To seek out more and more from what we alone can offer."
  102. (Akasha)
  103.
  104. The suspicious and tensed up, stalwart Magdalen remains in place. Teeth are idly grit at that cold that ebbs out from the other. It's thoroughly overbearing, lancing spines of cold felt to the radiant white-feathered.
  105.
  106. However, her response comes as soon as she's addressed, with nary but a moment of delay.
  107.
  108. "You're wrong. I will figure it out on my own. I make my own answers, and find my own truths of Kraus's world.
  109.
  110. I am proposing a small deal - I've studied this topic, and I have insight I've gleaned about it. All I ask for is information that surely man cannot make use of anyway, even my kind unable to use Divine Magic that saps our soul effectively, hmhm?"
  111.
  112. There's the slightest bit of arrogance in that smile of hers. Only the smallest smidge, her visage of cool and unyielding remained even as an immense aura has her recall the Fallen in Felera. Seen as a child, that Fallen was disturbing. Terrifying.
  113.
  114. But she has to move past childish fears, for now.
  115. (Magdalen Elisheva)
  116.
  117. As the air grows sickly and cold, the youngest Kang feels something odd-- something strange, as the very fiber of his being is touched in a corrupt manner. It felt haunting, and sickly.
  118.
  119. He shuts his eyes. How vile. Even so, he didn't believe a fallen angel had the power to strike him down without laying a finger. They were weaker than the true divine, after all.
  120.
  121. He breathes in slowly, and a golden glow grows within his crystals to harmonize himself briefly.
  122.
  123. "We don't need a god to guide anyone. We look to Them for faith and clarity. Not true guidance."
  124.
  125. He shuts his eyes, trying to shake the feeling regardless. It felt awful, and it wasn't something he could keep at bay.
  126.
  127. "Even so, you are not a god. A god would be high in the heavens, or the clouds. Not cast down like you, with blackened wings."
  128.
  129. He stands tall, now. He wouldn't let it shake him further.
  130. (Percival Kang)
  131.
  132. Ohtli had found purpose through her submission, moreso to a higher calling in general. To the Serpent, and in return so many blessings, so many gifts had been hers. However...she was not liable to force that burden on anyone else. At least history had shown as much.
  133.
  134. As much as she's able to keep the angel's ambient influence at bay, the outright attack isn't something she can ignore. Cold, icy fingers wrap around her old heart and squeeze.
  135.
  136. The Elder's breath hitches, her pulse grows weak and strained as it struggles against the internal vice. She stumbles and the old Jianghese sword clatters to the grass beneath.
  137.
  138. With a clawed hand she searches the pockets of her coat, searching. Searching for something.
  139.
  140. Something that's not there. Ohtli might have cursed if drawing a breath weren't so troublesome. There's a defiant streak yet in the old bird as she continues to pat down her pockets.
  141.
  142. Spirits, where was that thing...
  143. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  144.
  145. For a moment, she contemplates on how to proceed. Truly, making an effort to think about her actions rather than following her impulses. Few could see it, but she'd been trying. Only for those efforts to mean nothing as she feels something grasping her very heart.
  146.
  147. Rage.
  148.
  149. Thera's visage shifts into a crimson scowl, as this action evoked a desire to defend- defend her body, and her ideals. "All you offer is shit." Hissed out, as she reaches for the arcanium axe upon her back.
  150.
  151. "I'm so sick of this!" Golden light shimmers around her frame, as two spectral arms lurch from her back. "I have a purpose; I do not purposely serve. Fuck. You."
  152.
  153. Regardless of whether or not she had support in this next act, she acts all the same.
  154.
  155. "The only thing submitted today, is you. Kneel you fucking crow."
  156. (Thera Elisheva)
  157.
  158. {NARRATION} Blackened feathers fell from the skies as each sought to look down upon this future entrusted to humanity.
  159.
  160. Darkness swelled from beneath this figure as the sound of the lifestream scream, cried out as that overwhelming aura continued to squeeze and pull upon their existence.
  161.
  162. Sinking beneath the soil as blackened wings soon vanished beneath these grounds which death had stood upon. Those slender lips parting to leave this message imprinted upon the minds of each which had once stood before him.
  163.
  164. "Humans need guidance. I have repeated it time and time again. No matter how harshly you may kick and scream? Change is inevitable. Even upon the doors of death, I offer you that same submission for a grander purpose."
  165.
  166. Feathers landing upon the ground, sinking beneath that void just as it finally closed as Thera had summoned forth that light of a guradian around her. One, final blackened feather landing atop that surface of the soil.
  167.
  168. The ground, the grass around wilting and dying from touch alone.
  169.
  170. "Humanity will change. All who have fallen will share this goal, as the heavens of Avalon can only watch as humanity surpass even them."
  171.
  172. With those words, he was gone.
  173.
  174. Ohtli Tezcacoatl picks up Feather Of Akasha .
  175.
  176. Percival watched as the fallen began to make their ascension, to leave. He breathed in, frowning. Thera was ready to battle, and so was he- even if his other aunt wasn't ready. Absolution, Will of the Defender was gripped tightly as his other hand raises.
  177.
  178. He breathes in. He huffs. He focusses..
  179.
  180. golden blades form through the air, in the same shape as Absolution, Will of the Defender that rotate in a circle. Even so, he trembled. The divine power was still new to him. He was still getting over his occasional sicknesses..
  181.
  182. Then, the blades surge out in the direction of Akasha to strike him down as he flees. They would likely all miss.
  183.
  184. "Coward!" He cries.
  185. (Percival Kang)
  186. LOOC - Akasha: (ok good rp friends <--- epic reply thank you hopscotch
  187. Blades strike into the ground, and none of them had hit their mark. None of them would even graze the fallen as they struck far into the soil. He frowns as they slowly dissipate from the air, back into the ether itself.
  188.
  189. He slams a foot into the ground, sending mana into the earth itself to see if there was any disturbance- or body hiding beneath them, but all he would find is corrupt and violent opposition from Akasha's presence.
  190.
  191. "..He got away. Again. Fuck.." He sighs. It was unlikely that they'd have defeated him so easily, or he'd have stayed at all. But him actually fleeing was frustrating.
  192. (Percival Kang)
