  1.
  2. [21:06] Controlled breathing. Despite suffering vital injuries, he manages to pull himself back. He is oddly silent, despite sitting in a pool of blood.
  3.
  4. He is offered water, and does not fail to drink it. It soothes him, as well as providing the youth with a sufficient amount of liquid, replacing the amount he had thereby lost.
  5.
  6. "What will happen now...? Sergeant Pitri is gone."
  7. (Yami Kurokaiyo)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [21:11] As the battle between the two raged on, their was only the demons instinctual nature to rely on when it came to dealing with such a swift opponent. A weakness they recognized in their earlier stages in life. Coming to comply against the collision of magics whenever possible.
  11.
  12. However slim it was.
  13.
  14. "Much like a machine... Even as you become brittle. The wear & tear seems to hardly phase you." But for how much longer could they bear the onslaught of combined arts. Delivered in the impregnable display tied in tandem between the woman and their nethradin.
  15.
  16. Weaving in corruptive spells in the midst fist clashing against arsenals. A being of obsidian flesh enduring the gunfire if only to preserve Irkalla's well-being.
  17.
  18. "But all machines require someone to ensure they work!"
  19.
  20. Cackling filled the area as the animus resonated with the essence's stored within. Releasing waves of Hel'heims magic across the fields. Bolts of blood lightning struck against the ground.
  21.
  22. Tearing against the both as they fought. Unbias in its subjection. Yet the woman managed to preserve. Catching glimpse of victory in the shape of the Nethradin grappling at the man. Leaving space for the woman to extended out their hand.
  23.
  24. Press past the mortal flesh with an ethereal touch.
  25.
  26. Rattling their soul with an immense grip. Subjecting them a different kind of torture.
  27.
  28. One that likely leave them far too weak to escape.
  29.
  30. (Irkalla)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [21:12] Interesting.
  34.
  35. Irkalla surely did not join the rest within the Dreadwoods but instead, remained.
  36.
  37. The man she danced with looked quite familiar. Was he at Starfall?
  38.
  39. "My, my..." Lips curl into a little smile as they watch from the sidelines with Eugo at their side.
  40.
  41. "Hopefully they don't kill him. Then we'll have two and we can make demands." And one less to come save their dear Sergeant.
  42.
  43. Regardless, they watch and idle, a stare upon their Ascended ally.
  44. (Jianyu Xi)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [21:19] Facing off against shadows was a first thing for the Lieutenant, especially ones that were as aggressive as the Nethadrin grappled with his form. It was bothersome, especially when it dug away at their defenses, sundering the thickly packed dirt.
  48.
  49. "Get off me, you damn demon!" Their gun was swung all around, slamming the things away from them with constant movements. Already exhaustion was once again overtaking them, every movement slowing down their form. It was all bringing him down.
  50.
  51. "And all beasts need a maste-" Unable to finish their words, a hand had passed straight through his chest and touched upon something that one shouldn't be able to. His soul, if he even had one, rattled him to their very core.
  52.
  53. It felt as if their body was trying to tear itself in half, from the scalp down. Sheer pain drained at him, their already weakened struggle letting go, unable to truly fight back any longer.
  54. (Batu)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [21:20] There was no shock in the Demon's visage, Or what little of it remained, His mistress was amongst the most powerful of Demons and her abilities in combat could only be contested by very few.
  58.
  59. The creature ilked and flowed in its cloak of chaotic magics as it watched Irkalla rend the man's body touching their soul and weakening them to the point of no resistance.
  60.
  61. "So this is the power of the cogs of the Machine? However disappointing" Were they truly even capable of collaring demons? It seemed their goals of inscription the Dreadwoods wasn't as easy as they first believed.
  62. (Eugo La Ravias)
  63. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. [21:24] Awilix sneezes.
  66. (Awilix Zero)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [21:26] Only after noticing the struggle beginning to wane did the demon release their hold over the mans soul. However, it wouldn't have mattered much, even as it did the damage. Their palm was searing from the divinity that protected humanities core.
  70.
  71. "Hm..."
  72.
  73. Gazing down, taking a danger at their torn attire. A subtle hmph, was had. Leaning the mans still form to fall cradled into the ascendeds figure. With a cold touch, they brushed aside a few strands of hair from mans face. Smiling as all that was left? Was for the woman to depart, taking with them. Much like Jianyu had taken the other. Tossing them onto their shoulder before making an attempt to just walk off into the dreadwoods.
  74.
  75. Waving an arm to those left behind.
  76.
  77. "I'm sure you'll see him again!"
  78. (Irkalla)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [21:37] Naturally, no. She swears that every time she's seen Batu lately, he returns wounded- and now this? What an absolute pain. Can they not just... not pick fights that they can't win? Annoyance after annoyance mounts and furrows her brow that much deeper, until her form is tense and jaw is tense. Eyes squeeze shut and open, the mechanical of the two twisting rapidly, blowing a low, vibrating red.
  82.
  83. "...If all you're going to do is pick fights you can't win, Batu, I've half a mind to see to it you're not even recovered after this."
  84.
  85. That's a cold word. But, still. The draw of her gun is of note, and the swell of mana at it's tip betrays intention. It betrays the very same thing she speaks.
  86.
  87. "You put me in the position of doing the same thing to try and rescue you from your own reckless fucking stupidity."
  88.
  89. Of course, she was going to blast a hole straight through Irkalla if they were justgoing to casually walk away with the man and his equipment in tow. And avoidance meant a chase. It means even more ill-advised fighting, lest somebody was to stop her.
  90. (Awilix Zero)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [21:47] Side-by-side, did the demon indeed make an attempt to casually stroll out from the scene of the crime. Or rather, they couldn't flee if they'd wanted to. So why bother running away?
  94.
  95. "Oh... Is this a machine. Show compassion?" The woman spoke, their back remaining as the only thing the woman saw. Shuffling the body over their shoulder as the words continued to spill. "I find it, a little bit amusing. You know... You can say this is simply due to the aggression your people put on display to my kind." Kneeling to place the body comfortable along the ground.
  96.
  97. They didn't need really to wake up for this one. "I'd suggest? You tear down that division of demon hunters and reorganize yourselves proper." With a hand flicked at the wrist.
  98.
  99. A staff of oak & grimoire of visceral magics would surface onto the mortal plane. "I doubt your words will reach him, for now... But. Maybe they're tougher than expected?" Regardless if the man could awaken from a soul rattling or not, could pose little to any resistance in the possible fight to ensue.
  100.
  101. "I will offer you a chance... Return to your city walls. I've a few, experiments. In mind. Yes? An unwilling mind is something I require now. Maybe if they last? They'll be returned... Depends. On. My. Mood... I grow tired of you humans, but. You've a bigger war. Yes?"
  102. (Irkalla)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [21:50] Irkalla says, "kk"
  106. [22:00] Orchestrating what looked to be the commanding of nearly a hundred figures in shadows at once. Under liege of the nethradin as it lead the charge forward. Where as the soldiers merely lasted a single blow.
  107.
  108. It resided mostly on the constant downpour of units would look to serve as the demons advantage in this battle. Falling back as to best avoid the constant fields of magic sweeping units down by the dozen.
  109.
  110. "I can only assume... You've all, been trained very well."
  111.
  112. An annoyance spoken through telepathy as the woman infected their mind without resistance. Placing into them the visceral curses that required only a few spoken words of the tongue. Like hearing of a secret you shouldn't have.
  113.
  114. These seemingly took hold, like illusions. Casting them into disarray as the conflict continued on. And while they managed to strike true at the ascended.
  115.
  116. A grimoire to which knew no mercy could only feed from the surrounding area. Slowly, but surely looking to restore the woman back to pristine condition. "But I was born in an era where i'd only myself to fall onto... Where only I could manage to overcome each obstacle. It was, I. Who'd managed to ascend where all others thought it a myth."
  117.
  118. Each expression of wickedness twisting at the pale image. Searing scars remaining across their visage, but could the human contest with demonic stamina? Only time could tell...
  119. (Irkalla)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [22:06] It comes back to bite her that, really, she didn't pay much attention to the details of the way that Batu was captured in battle- in the way that the demon moves, their mannerisms and tendencies, she mistakes her own eventual action here and has no prepared strategy.
  123.
  124. This is, unfortunately, something she did because... nobody else would. It was a reckless thing unlike her, but Batu held an invariable worth, even if one was only to consider it in his equipment.
  125.
  126. They had orders. They had plans. They had already been spread through the runs of leadership and gruntwork alike. Why were they out here, clashing pre-emptively when it was clear they already had established plan and agenda for later...?
  127.
  128. It made her mad. Maybe that anger was the only reason she had actually steeped forward and tried to help him. Maybe it was worthwhile at least to try. Maybe it was only going to make things worse.
  129.
  130. She could accept that, though. All things had consequences.A machine was the sum of it's parts.
  131.
  132. But there were always replacements, for things like Batu- for things like her. The demons could capture a thousand. Barsburg would send ten thousand in it's place. That was what they did not understand. The Machine loomed over Esshar in a scope of enemy that they had never faced. An infallible wall of man and machine could descend upon this place if ever it warranted it.
  133.
  134. But it was her job to try and make sure it never came to that. It shouldn't even be a question, but. Life is far from perfect, and no path is clearly laid out and cleanly taken the first time around, as any explorer of the unknown would tell you.
  135.
  136. So, like a charter in untapped territory, she charges forth into the unknown. She clashes. She fails, just as the man before her had.
  137.
  138. "Yeah, yeah- s-so you've progressed beyond all your lesser kin." The Kitsune spits- her mind swims under hostile influences, a hitch in her throat, a countenance stiff. Her eye spins, erratically changing the rotational iteration and flashing that low dull red a brighter, almost beam-like expression in the stead of a low splaying glow.
  139.
  140. "...But what is there to show for it? If it's just this, just strength..."
  141.
  142. I pity you. She does not say those words, but there is a sense- if Irkalla's invasion of Awilix' mind runs so deep, she can feel those words.
  143.
  144. The Lieutenant would not let them hang in the air long. There had to at least be an earnest attempt!
  145. (Awilix Zero)
  146. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  147.
  148. [22:14] Test
  149. (Jianyu Xi)
  150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  151.
  152. [22:15] Test
  153.
  154. Test
  155. (Jianyu Xi)
  156. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  157.
  158. [22:16] Throttling their units forward, for regardless of whether it was one. Or thousands. There was a reason beyond their strength that came to be the reason why they'd ascended beyond the others, first. At least.
  159.
  160. "You know, nothing. Your willingness to compile with orders are exactly why you'd never come to understand. Raw... Primal... Instincts!" She'd shouted, screeching their words into the woman's mind in high volumes. Looking to stack meager annoyances until they all became too overwhelming to bear.
  161.
  162. Like an emotional roller collar, the woman's resolution was constantly put to the test. As the ascended woven curses into the ground and with every false step did sigils written to the dark lord appear, like land minds.
  163.
  164. Infecting their determination with doubt, corroding away at their resolve with self-preservation.
  165.
  166. Even as the climax between the two were coming to wane in neither's favor. There was only, but a glimpse of foresight used to maintain leverage in the conflict.
  167.
  168. Conjuring arrows of condensed shadows left to loom over the woman. Each pointed towards the slumbering Batu. "I wonder... If you can shoot all of them out of the air... Before I depart with him." After-all, if they could? Then it'd leave batu to remain alive, but them without enough time to save the man, before irkalla would escape with him in tow.
  169.
  170. With a wave of the arm, as if signaling a death sentence. Both jagged projectiles fired whilst the demon rushed to wrangle up the body. Uncaring whether it was alive or not.
  171.
  172. But would Zero?
  173. (Irkalla)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  175.
  176. [22:26] There are bouncing, weaving, unstable and untold things bouncing through her skull as she tries to focus on this- a fight, recklessly taken upon herself with no such preparation.
  177.
  178. "Nothing."
  179.
  180. She spits that word back at him, even as legs falter and focus degrades under the constant otherworldly pressure. In the place of calm sensibility is rising anger, frustration, the swells of doubt and the swirling internal dissidence giving way decades-old questions best left buried under a world of duty and servitude to the betterment of the world around her under control of the construct she was a part of.
  181.
  182. It's far, far too much to keep soldiering on through this time.
  183.
  184. She braces, fallen back on the defensive only to be met with some odd, paused offense-
  185.
  186. and a threat, not at herself but as the arrows turn away, at something else.
  187.
  188. An annoyance, again.
  189.
  190. Flame charges to the end of her gun, wordlessly swelling into a swirling buffet of obtuse destruction posed of no directive threat towards the demon.
  191.
  192. She is exhausted; and there is no use in painting a pretty picture, so she is beaten, already. Driven back, with scarcely any stamina left to offer, and only the prospect of burning out her own circuitry if she keeps pushing past this.
  193.
  194. But one last hail of flame erupting from the end of her gun with a force to put her on her ass is her last offering to try and fix this, erase the sky of this hail of arrows before even her gun itself powers down from the inability to draw mana remaining at accessibility for her.
  195.
  196. She's completely spent. Batu is beyond her reach.
  197.
  198. "Fuck."
  199. (Awilix Zero)
  200. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  201.
  202. [22:28] Following the intervening Lieutenant's defeat, they moved to trail behind Irkalla as she dragged away her own caught prey.
  203.
  204. A Sergeant and a Lieutenant. Today may be a good day for those of the Dreadwoods.
  205. (Jianyu Xi)
  206. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  207.
  208. [22:29] A few steps upon the sand brought Zayne closer to the Lieutenant who's backup had ammounted to yet another failure. Two for the price of one, a tragic end to this encounter. The young Corporal's hand came down upon Awilix's shoulder, hoping to draw her out of the hyperfocused state she had put herself into in order to try and save Batu. A gentle pull and a few words were given her way.
  209.
  210. "I believe it's best to go, Lieutenant. You're hardly in shape to fight more and a report should be made before we all die here."
  211. (Zayne Alcantar)
  212. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  213.
  214. [22:30] Blackjack says, "Before we are further struck it would be wise to make a retreat..."
  215. [22:32] The demon appeared in its striking new appearance more pressure to be added upon the Barsburgian Machine as they seemed to have suffered heavily in just the few hours they had been battling against the Dreadwoods.
  216.
  217. "Tragic." The demon claimed as he watched the last of their forces be beat back by the Dread witch Irkalla. The Shaman quickly coming to intercept any further attacks that would be made on the his Mistress the veil of shadows showing his new form.
  218.
  219. Although he had not yet Ascended the Demon's powers were beginning to excel to its prime. Nearly on the brink of such an achievement.
  220.
  221.
  222. (Eugo La Ravias)
  223. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  224.
  225. [22:32] They lost two people. Two people in the span of the day. This made her beyond furious. To think that the demons could have even gained such an upper hand. Even considering the fact she had to attend medically to one of the harmed from a prior part of this scuffle. Mona can't help but wish she could have done more.
  226.
  227. " Filth. Utter garbage. You will regret harming the valuable cogs of this Machine. "
  228.
  229. She wanted to go at them. But after such a display would it be wise? No. But would it satisfy her personally? Yes
  230.
  231. "You have luck on your side this time profligates. Although I think that's all you will have for now."
  232.
  233. Mona glares at the group in front of her. Shaking her head while directing a spiteful look in their direction. To think they managed to defeat two Lieutenants and a Seargent in the same day.
  234.
  235. It was shameful.
  236. (Mona M Lockway)
  237. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  238.
  239. [22:34] Passing through while being on his way to mine as usual, however, on the way he manages to catch sight of a nearby battle. Immediately, he already knew what it was about.
  240.
  241. Certainly someone was facing one of those from the Dreadwoods, there was no other reasonable explanation for what it could be. He didn't expect what would come into view though, Lieutenant Awilix... defeated? Batu on the hands of the Demons? Well, shit.
  242.
  243. This certainly won't end at this. His hand was alreach reaching for his gun should he need to cover his comrades for a retreat, though with how things are, it doesn't seem like it'll come to more combat.
  244.
  245. His eyes focus on Jianyu and he can hear the faint whispers inside his mind once again... even if the occult was gone, his mind still brought them back at times.
  246. (Orion Izar)
  247. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  248.
  249. [22:34] Jianyu smiles at Orion as they take their leave.
  250. (Jianyu Xi)
  251. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  252.
  253. [22:34] Orion sweats.
  254. (Orion Izar)
  255. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  256.
  257. [22:39] Scratches his chin - these people have been here for quite some time - yes... - yes they have been maybe something was needed to be done - but two demons and a what could be thought of a human is here.
  258.
  259. "Well - you have put on quite the show, for quite some time..."
  260.
  261.
  262. Yes - but there was little lead to any benefit of actually staying here. "Let's return home for the time being.. - we can destroy them later.."
  263. (Alphonse Hesse)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [22:40] Jianyu Xi says, "He needs a collar."
  267. [22:40] Eugo La Ravias says, "I have Tyrium."
  268. [22:40] Irkalla says, "That he does..."
  269. [22:40] Jianyu Xi says, "I do, too."
  270. [22:40] Jianyu Xi says, "But you need steel and adamantite."
  271. [22:40] Eugo La Ravias says, "Hmm..."
  272. [22:40] Jianyu Xi says, "I have forty or so pieces at home."
  273. [22:40] Irkalla says, "Hm..."
  274. [22:40] Eugo La Ravias asks, "We can hold him until you return with the materials but who will make it?"
  275. [22:40] Batu is still unconscious for now, though they are slowly coming to with small movements.
  276. (Batu)
  277. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  278.
  279. [22:40] Eugo La Ravias asks, "Is the other one collared?"
  280. [22:40] Jianyu Xi says, "Mhm."
  281. [22:40] Jianyu Xi says, "She is bleeding out and asleep on the ground."
  282. [22:41] Irkalla says, "If only this one was too..."
  283. [22:41] Jianyu Xi says, "She should live. I want my ten-thousand coin."
  284. [22:41] Jianyu Xi says, "But, I will take to the mines."
  285. [22:41] Irkalla asks, "Should eugo accompany you?"
  286. [22:41] Jianyu Xi says, "Would anyone like to join me in case I'm swarmed, for whatever-"
  287. [22:42] Irkalla asks, "Violet as well, possibly?"
  288. [22:42] Irkalla says, "Even if a quick venture. Best safer than sorry."
  289. [22:42] Irkalla says, "I can watch over the captive on my own till you return."
  290. [22:42] Eugo La Ravias says, "I doubt I could venture too close to where your house resides.."
  291. [22:42] Jianyu Xi says, "I live underground..."
  292. [22:42] Jianyu purses their lips...
  293. (Jianyu Xi)
  294. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  295.
  296. [22:42] Eugo La Ravias says, "Ah As do I..."
  297. [22:42] Jianyu Xi says, "Violet should remain with you."
  298. [22:43] Jianyu Xi says, "But, yes."
  299. [22:43] Eugo La Ravias says, "Lets go then."
  300. [22:43] Jianyu Xi says, "We'll return soon."
  301. [22:53] Jianyu Xi says, "Now..."
  302. [22:53] Jianyu Xi says, "We need someone to make use of these ores."
  303. [22:54] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  304. [22:54] Eugo La Ravias says, "Good timing."
  305. [22:54] The Fortune Teller grabs the Razuka and drags him deep into the woods.
  306. (Jianyu Xi)
  307. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  308.
  309. [22:55] Blackjack says, "okay"
  310. [22:55] Blackjack says, "off we go."
  311. [23:11] {Item} You drop Iron x6.
  312. [23:11] Blackjack says, "talked his way out of getting attacked by being /annoying/ enough I could only imagine what Marz was thinking."
  313. [23:11] Jianyu Xi says, "Many thanks, Eugo."
  314. [23:11] Eugo La Ravias says, "Mhm."
  315. [23:12] Blackjack says, "the whole thing was, laughable but I had to act as if I was, and thank you Eugo, but I had to act like I was scared for his life."
  316. [23:12] Jianyu Xi asks, "So there is Desmond. What about any else of rank?"
  317. [23:12] Blackjack says, "Here we go."
  318. [23:13] Jianyu Xi asks, "Oh, is this for me, too?"
  319. [23:13] Blackjack says, "oh wait..."
  320. [23:13] Blackjack says, "hmm, yeah."
  321. [23:13] Jianyu Xi says, "Oh, how kind of you."
  322. [23:13] Eugo La Ravias says, "The collar. Irkalla is probably exhuasted from her battles."
  323. [23:14] {Item} You picked up Anti-Magic Restraint. Dropped by Jianyu Xi..
  324. [23:14] {Item} You picked up Anti-Magic Remote. Dropped by Jianyu Xi..
  325. [23:14] As he had been placed against a tree himself, they didn't move out of their spot on the ground. Instead he was moving their fingers, making sure they had ample usage of their body. Which, so far to his knowledge seemed to be doing perfectly fine, surprisingly so.
  326.
  327. "I won't be." Yet.
  328.
  329. "I know when something is suicide." Though to others, it may have seem like it was suicide to attack the ascended at all, he was duty bound and knew there was the ever so slight chance that they might have gone through.
  330.
  331. But witches were strong, this he had learned.
  332.
  333. Instead of saying anything more, they learned more and began coalescing dirt across their skin, a natural action by him. It was nothing hostile, and just something that felt wrong not to have.
  334. (Batu)
  335. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  336.
  337. [23:15] Eugo moves towards Irkalla handing them the remote and the collar, After all it was her prey.
  338. (Eugo La Ravias)
  339. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  340.
  341. [23:15] {Item} You drop Anti-Magic Restraint.
  342. [23:15] {Item} You drop Anti-Magic Remote.
  343. [23:16] Irkalla says, "Be a doll... Allow Eugo, to tend to you... Should they desire"
  344. [23:16] Batu says, "..."
  345. [23:16] Eugo La Ravias says, "I am rather famished. I could use him for an experiment or two."
  346. [23:16] Irkalla says, "Since you know not to escape..."
  347. [23:26] The Lieutenant was now in the hands of the Dark Shaman and he would waste no time in taking him deeper into the Dreadwoods, A place very few returned from, The outside was like a natural forest intertwined by a darker sensation.
  348.
  349. Corrupted trees and wallows of mushrooms gathered in the places all over, The dark woods lined the trees with a familiar repulsive occultism naturally shared by the demons.
  350.
  351. As Eugo dragged him along in chains the man would be sat down and examined. "You mortals are all the same, So fragile and yet you resist your fate countless times again."
  352.
  353. The demon spoke as he allowed him some rest now that they seemed to have arrived at the clearing in the woods. "I have many things I desire to test on you...and I have no doubt we will have much time."
  354.
  355. A wave of the demons claws pulled the collared man closer. Towards the slick Skull face of the demon, No eyes nose or just fangs and bone. "I will take from you what youaimed to take from us."
  356.
  357. The man was pulled closer and then....a tugging sensation at his very soul. Already damaged by Irkalla his wound would begin to throb more intently as Eugo seemed prepared to take something from him.
  358.
  359. What that was? The demon would be unlikely to mention.
  360.
  361.
  362. (Eugo La Ravias)
  363. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  364.
  365. [23:33] Though chains dragged him along, the man was compliant in moving and their stout body walked refreshed throughout the dreadwoods. Sure their body still ached, his 'soul' the most, but it didn't stop him from taking in the local area. So this is where the demons lived, a place filled with the sensation of occult in every leaf.
  366.
  367. "You are calling us fragile, when in reality we are so much more." One yank tossed him towards a seat, one that he placed himself within.
  368.
  369. "A 'thing' like yourself, wouldn't understand exactly how tough we actually are." The mans body was covered in a stone layer...One that was much tougher then a magis natural body, or stones in general. It seems he was well-protected at all times.
  370.
  371. "Test all you can, during the time you have. It won't be long." So many had witnessed the captures, he had no doubt that it wouldn't be long until the forest was being overwhelmed by their forces. Even if he was not important enough for such a thing, Barsburg pride could not be harmed in this way.
  372.
  373. One tug and he was pulled closer, "Aimed to take? We've been taking." Boldly they spoke, only for pain to start throbbing once more. His already...Strange and different soul that had been touched by Irkalla, only beginning to gain another sensation. It was not a pleasant one.
  374. (Batu)
  375. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  376.
  377. [23:42] Piece by piece essence was being drawn into the demon, Flooding them with an unnatural escatsy that was unlike anything it had experienced before. The mind of an unwilling participant, An enemy at that. It had usually moved to corrupt those into their fold, But with this man? He was surely an enemy that would either be killed or traded had Barsburg complied with their demands.
  378.
  379. Although that scenario was known by all to be unlikely, Barsburg would come and be caught in the webs that had been set up by the Demons and their plot all along. "So condescending. Yet you have nothing to prove for it...." The whispers only growing louder as the demon continued to 'take' this resource from him.
  380.
  381. As each piece of Essence was drawn towards him Eugo would begin to store it within orbs that levitated around his body, Compacting them into black Orbs that hung close to his being.
  382.
  383. The demon seemed more than satisfied with the meal he had, And the producthe created from it as well. The demon turned as the orb levitated closer towards him. "Thank you for your donation....Life essence is the most...difficult to extract from your kind, You tend to hold on tightly to your souls...However with Time Magic I only needed a moment to steal a few years of your life."
  384.
  385. Despite if the man had survived passed the coming imprisonment he would be forever forced to know of the lingering dread of his eventual death. Although the demon cared little about how he'd take the news with his prize in hand he'd move to the next task at hand.
  386. (Eugo La Ravias)
  387. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  388.
  389. [23:48] Do Homunculus have souls?
  390.
  391. Batu didn't know, they couldn't know. What he did know as that they were in pain, having their life essence slowly but surely sucked out of their body. A collar on his neck, a chain held tight. If it wasn't for either of them, he'd be fighting back already.
  392.
  393. "Nothing to prove for it?" Normally neutral in voice, a sudden condescending tone began to overtake his voice. Taunting the demon, as if he truly knew nothing, for in his mind, he didn't.
  394.
  395. "You can try to take however much of this you want from me...But it won't change a thing in the coming tides." A visage of bravery was Batu at the time, one that could only hold true to convictions and thoughts...As they had nothing they could do in return.
  396.
  397. Years of life taken? They didn't even expect to live a full life, something like that was little compared to just being alive.
  398. (Batu)
  399. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  400.
  401. [23:59] The demon watched as the life essence swirled and swished in his hand like a like a black slime suspended in gravity. The demon clearly coveted whatever this was. Batu could hear the demon whispering to the essence as it floated around within his hands after a while the demon turned its gaze back to the man. "Indeed. The tides of your people will add the fuel to the fire and become the furnace that bellows the Dreadwoods towards the first Umbral Calamity."
  402.
  403. The demon's gaze looked towards the man his the raw muscles on his clawed fingers reached out and pulled the mans head back. "I have my own reasons for taking this from you however, This is merely to make me stronger...Now...Here take this back..."
  404.
  405. The black sludge entered the mans body, Not like one would assume either, Through his nostrils, Within the underside of his eye balls. Quickly down his throat almost causing him to retch. The essence drained a foul taste within the man's body replaced by something more foul and darker.
  406.
  407. A curse perhaps? "I care very little to debate you morally mortal. There is very little we can discuss that would draw us to any conclusion, I am no man, Or Teraphrim. I will not be swayed to your ideals of slavery just because you yourself have subscribed to being nothing more than a slave to the Machine." The demon removed its hand from his head as the rest of the obsidian orb spilled into his veins.
  408.
  409. A chill took him over one that persisted as more time passed. The demons curse intermingling within his body causing some sort of vile reaction. Yet no words of what it was or what it was for would linger on the demons tongue. "I am a Demon. I care only for myself and my ambitions, And the ones of the Dark Lord. You and your machine are not the only invading force in these lands, And we will be damned if we will give it to you with no resistance.." The demon hissed. The man released for now, Lesser demons chosen to watch over him throughout his 'stay' in the Forest.
  410.
  411. "Now then...Do get all the rest you can. When your comrades eventually come? We can begin the next step." Whatever still flowed within the veins of the man it would linger there now, poisoning him.
  412.
  413.
  414. Cursing in him some horrific way. While also taking away his years of his lifespan.
  415. (Eugo La Ravias)
