-From a young age, Cirrus could be prompted to understand whatever was presented to him not long after the material was presented. Yet it seemed droll. What use was continuing studies if there was a finite amount of knowledge to be found in them? Cirrus was bored, he needed suspense and mystery. He needed to seek a subject and throw himself into it. Something not many knew about, or had solved. Which led him to the Shade.

-It didn't take him long to become lost in his studies. In all-nighters that neither pushed him towards completion or pulled him towards failure. There were so many variables to fill in for.
So many 'what ifs' and 'possibly's. Yet there was a strange lack of volunteers willing to test these theories, of scientists opting to help find what clicked. Cirrus thus did what any scientist would do when needing answers: he experimented on himself.
