Guest_WorldGuardian94: Raymond sat out on the balcony, watching the sunset and sighed. He was greatly concerned about the safety of his Yvaine and more so of his daughter since she was only five years old, and with a demon inside of her aunt...he shook his head. Just then a servant cleared his throat. "My lord, you wished to see me?" "Yes, please go to the Queen's room and ask her to join me on the balcony for a light dinner before the feast begins." "At once, my Prince" the servant answered, bowing. Raymond knew that Yvaine could help lift his mood - she always did.
YvaineWicked: Yvaine was in her room, debating as to which gown to wear. She wanted to look her best - howver it is easier said than done when one does not rely on jewels and such to appeal to looks. She paused, looking over a red gown as there was a knock on the door "It's open." She called as the servant came in; "M'lady, his majesty wishes to dine with you before the banquet begins." Yvaine nodded, "Very well." she said, placing the gown on her bed as she headed to the prince
Guest_WorldGuardian94: Raymond smiled once his beloved came. "There you are, dear," he said, nodding to the servant who left them. When he had left and there was no one around - as per Raymond's orders - he felt comfortable enough to lean forward and kiss Yvaine, soft and slow, as he knew she loved, with his one hand running through her silver-white hair. "my lovely queen," he said between kisses to her.
YvaineWicked: Yvaine smiled as she saw him, walking slowly towards her as the servant went off. "Raymond, it's been too lomg..!" She exclaimed just before his lips met hers, her arms wrapping around his neck as they kissed deeply and lovingly
Guest_WorldGuardian94: He broke off the kiss, saying, "Indeed it has been, love. Please, sit down dear." He pulled out a chair for her. "I thought we needed some alone time considering how full our evening is going to be tonight - and since, well, we haven't had enough alone time since leaving Avalora." Two female servants appeared, one carrying two decanters, one filled with water and the other wine and the other held a tray of some pastries, cheese, grapes and slices of bread before curtseying to them both and leaving them alone again. Raymond then took one of the grapes and popped them into his mouth, enjoying the taste.
YvaineWicked: Yvaine nodded as she sat, "Yes, indeed. There is no telling when we'll have time to ourselves again while we are here." She giggled a bit, nodding to the servant as she palced the trays down before them. Once they vanished she took a piece of cheese and poured herself some wine
Guest_WorldGuardian94: Raymond poured himself some wine into one of the goblets, which were rimmed with gold and had sapphires inlaid with them, smiling as she giggled. "So - what are your thought so far on Antioch, dear?" he asked, gazing into her emerald-green eyes gently.
YvaineWicked: She slow blinked as she looked up "It's quite lovely, mother was right - describing it just did not do it justice."
Guest_WorldGuardian94: He laughed. "It IS perhaps a little grandiose, isn't it?" he admitted. "My ancestors designed this place to be 'the world's mightiest citadel' - any armies that attempted to besiege it were always turned back. But I'd say that my home has become far lovelier now that you are here with me, dear." He gently reached out, holding her hand in his and stroking it gently.
YvaineWicked: She laughed a bit "Ah I know, I've heard." she smiled at him "I do think it's perfect since we are all here as a family though." She leaned in and kissed his cheek as he held her hand
Guest_WorldGuardian94: Raymond's eyes went distant for a moment. "Yes...although I feel that soon we must inform the rest of the Antiochene nobility of Emilia's true identity - not that they will like that much." He laughed half-bitterly and half-amused, adding "At least mother didn't harp on about it when she was told. She's perfectly happy to see that she's a grandmother."
YvaineWicked: Yvaine nodded "I dread the day the nobility finds out, I am afraid as to what they might try to do." she sighed "But it must be done."
Guest_WorldGuardian94: "I have a few ideas of what they will try," he admitted. "First I believe they'll attempt to refute our claim but anyone with a brain can see she has our blood. After that, they'll attempt to ensure she's never legitimized as our daughter and most likely will seek help from the Patriarch to justify their claims." He sighed, taking some comfort in holding her hand more tightly. "But at least I'll have a few friendly faces there."
YvaineWicked: She nodded "Most likely the nobles, at least on my side will be supportive. There's a few that are ehhhh... But otherwise we'll be alright."
Guest_WorldGuardian94: "Our major opposition in Antioch will be the more...anti-Raymond nobles and the Patriarch. You've already met John, Constantine and Baldwin in Avalora - they head the opposition towards me but like you, the majority of the nobles will see having an heir is a sign of stability for all of us."
YvaineWicked: "And if we give them another?" She asked, looking up at him
Guest_WorldGuardian94: He smiled. "Then the friendlier nobles will see that as even more advantageous, as there will be - ah - many heirs for the sake of dynastic security. For the opposition, they may try to raise the issue of Emilia's illegitimacy over the second child."
YvaineWicked: "Mmmm, well they'll have to get over it."
Guest_WorldGuardian94: "There may be only one sure way to crush the opposition - but I pray it won't come to war," Raymond said. He then got up and leaned on the balcony, looking down into the city and noting the carriages coming up the Princes' Road that led to the citadel. "It would appear that they're on their way," he said, pointing down towards the carriages.
YvaineWicked: Yvaine stood up and followed him, resting her chin on his shoulder as he peered over the balcony, "War is a terrible thing and if they decide to start war over an innocnet child then do they even deserve to be apart of the nobility?"
Guest_WorldGuardian94: Raymond sighed. " 'Blood of nobility' " is what they would say, I'd imagine," he answered. "That, or they desire the power my family has held over Antioch for five centuries now and wish to rule themselves. But you are right - if it comes to that, I believe stripping the men responsible of their ranks will further quell rebellion. But - I'd rather have days of peace so that we can make another child together - perhaps a son this time." He smiled, turning and wrapping an arm around her shoulder, gently kissing her before the kiss turned into a hungry one, the fire in his heart lit once more as their lips touched and he closed his eyes contentedly, kissing her with soft, slow, hungry kisses as the sun continued to sink beyond the horizon and the carriages rolled up the road.
YvaineWicked: Yvaine nodded "We will do what we need to do, whatever it takes." she said as he grabbed her, kissing him back just as deep she let out a soft moan, closing her eyes and throwing herself into the perfect moment of bliss

Guest_WorldGuardian94: Hearing Yvaine's moan only furthered to fuel the fire that was in Raymond's heart, and for the first time he slowly slid his tongue into her mouth, wanting to taste and feel her mouth as they kissed beyond their lips, and his tongue gently wrapped itself around hers and his free hand ran through her silver hair, once more letting himself marvel as its softness and likeness to silk, although finer than all the silks of the world it was.
YvaineWicked: Yvaine pulled him closer, deepening their kiss, longing for it to last longer, to be more than just a kiss. Oh how she wanted to go back to those summer nights when everything was simple, and easier..

Guest_WorldGuardian94: Just as Raymond thought he could die happy, suddenly the head servant came. "My apologies, my-OH," he said, upon seeing Raymond and Yvaine together. Startled, Raymond pulled back, blushing furiously. "I, uhm - did you need something?" he asked, growing redder by the minute. "Ah, my Prince - your Majesty - I only wished to inform you that the feast will begin soon and that it is perhaps time to change? If I had known you were-" "Of course, of course, we'll be ready soon," Raymond said, waving him off. Once hte man had left, Raymond said, "Looks like duty calls to us, my dear."
