You spend a large amount of time learning as much as you possibly can about how to manipulate people, training your natural talent through practice as well as through reading dozens of books on psychology in order to better understand what the people you are speaking with might be thinking. After months of practice, you put your skills to the test. Your first self-assigned challenge is to convince a shopkeeper to just let you take what you want without paying. The female clerk almost immediately folds after you weave her a tragic story about how you simply can't pay and that your family were starving. It's odd, you've managed to become so adept at lying that you could probably easily create a cult around yourself if you had the inclination. Thankfully, you don't.
