VENICE, ITALY: our story starts in venice, italy with a photographer and a rookie police officer. mister police man had just gotten chewed out by his asshole of a boss, and miss photographer couldn't seem to find anything worth snapping. and that's when they saw each other. love at first sight is what they called it. only a few months later they were madly in love with each other. mister police officer was ariah's father minhyuk, or marcus, a handsome korean man from busan, and miss photographer was ariah's mother, ella a white woman born and raised in italy. they got married two years after that first encounter at a bar in downtown italy. made a baby on the honeymoon and named him louis. they lived happily in moving back and forth between venice and rome for two more years when they conceived bella. the older sister of ariah. and what comes next is the baby of the family. her italian name was chosen based off the fact that ariah gave her mother hard time during her pregnancy and since her name means lion its quite fitting isn't it? ella had loved the name thought it fit her baby girl. you know how the picked soyeon, she was treated little royalty even in her mothers womb.

on a faithful may morning, ariah popped out of her mothers slip-n-slide and boom, there she was. as a baby, she was incredibly tiny, but giggly and happy nonetheless. as the lee family had been hoping back and forth between rome and venice, with the new baby they decided to settle down. as ariah grew older and older, so did her passion for photography. by the time she was twelve, she was snapping photos alongside her mother and handing them into her boss. academically wise ariah was decent. she wasn't going around failing tests, but it wasn't straight a's all semester. her mindset was "who needs to know crap about world war i if i'm just going to go become a photographer anyways." she wasn't failing, but she wasn't winning. like dj khaled would still be proud of her, but he wouldn't give her five hundred dollars to go buy her mom a house.

everything was chillazoid. the family was getting used to life in venice. primrose was turning thirteen in a few months and her photography was getting better by the days. and that's when the lee's got the call. primrose's dad was missing his family like crazy and he'd never even met any of the kids. it was ella's idea to move out to busan to be closer to minhyuk' family as hers was still mad her anyways for marrying a korean man so staying venice when busan was out there was silly as hell. they moved three months after that phone call.

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA: growing accustomed to living in busan was difficult. first of all, learning the language was one hell of a barrier. of course their father spoke the language sometimes and taught the kids it too but he would mix italian too. but this was constant korean, all day every day. ella struggled along with the kids, but as they soon came to realize that this is what they'd be speaking for god knows how long so they better start taking classes and getting their acts together. second of all, the culture between italy and south korea was very different. insanely different at that. ariah, now soyeon, was determined though. and despite what her brother and sister thought, she picked up the language quicker than they did.

her life went on normally after that. no more crazy moves, just a chill cycle.

I'M NOT JUST A PRETTY GIRL:
well for starters, let's not see her as a pretty face, for she is so much more than that. though her ravishing grey eyes can catch the attention of the most cold hearted people in the universe, and she's almost completely flawless, she's not just another pretty face. she's an intellectual, and very intelligent. especially in the field of psyche. she likes to fully think things out and make sure they are completely comprehended and understood before she can continue on with anything else, no matter how big or small that matter may be. wherever it be a human being, or an animal, she wants to know everything about a person before she can go on with life.

CURIOSITY MAY NOT HAVE KILLED THE CAT AFTER ALL:
she is a very curious person who is always asking questions. she just wants to understand the world. but soyeon is very careful in this act, not wanting to push too hard and upset a person. she tries to keep a safe distance when asking these questions as she's young and people often associate her age with stupidity. but soyeon is far from stupid. she's asked so many damn questions to any and everyone in the world that she's knowledgeable in fields that people don't even dare cross into.

IMPULSIVE :
she's implusive. though she's the youngest out of her friend group she's much more than that. she does things without fully realizing what she's doing, most of the time being because she thought it was the right thing to do. sometimes that can turn out good, but most of the time it bites her in the ass. soyeon is a lot crazier than people would expect her to be since she just looks so cute and innocent on the outside. but instead what they get is this insane, loud-mouthed maknae that loves chess and has a bleeding disorder.

COMPLEX:
soyeon can be a hard one to figure out sometimes. though it may seem like she's 100% transparent, she's not. soyeon can be closed off and unable to show her true self until you really know her. she may be loving, and cute, but she won't speak unless spoken to. she doesn't want to make people uncomfortable or catch them off guard so she just won't speak to them. but once you uncover the true soyeon, you'll find yourself being completely confused. she's much kinder than her sharp facial features might point at, and she talks much more than you'd think she does. you really have to dig deep to find out who she really truly is. which is a dog-crazed, kind little bundle of love and cotton candy flavored soda.

SHARP:
sharp in the sense that she won't take your bullshit. you can cry on her shoulder and hug her like a teddy bear all you want but the minute you start being a little bitch about it is the minute that soyeon throws you to the side. she's cheerful and charming yes, but not someone to just be pushed around like some old throw pillow. the minute you start to treat her like a mindless child is the minute that you get kicked in the no no zone and/or she begins to treat you like a child right back.

OBSERVANT :
she notices everything. little things and big things. if you trip over your shoelaces, the way you look when you tell a lie, the way the look at someone you love. before even someone with the most keen eye sees, soyeon sees it before them. it's kind of crazy how she does it actually.

BOSSY :
i promise, it's not on purpose and the minute she says that someone is uncomfortable because of it, she'll stop. though she wants the best for other people and would never hurt someone with ill intentions, she can't help but be a bit of a brat sometimes. she has to balance out that friendliness somehow, and bossing people around is like a little release. think of it like this, you want love and the utmost kindness from soyeon, you gotta expect something to be a bit cracky. and it's not like she does it that often. well, she kind of does, but hey it gets the point across that although she is kind she will snap at you.

CHEERFUL:
she's like your own personal cheerleader. if you fall, she'll be the one cheering for you to get up. when no one else believes in you, guaranteed that soyeon will. even if it's incredibly stupid, she'll stand by your side. her mother always taught her to treat people with as much kindness as possible because one day you might need someone and if you walked around being a bitch your entire life then you can't expect to get any love in return.

―raw pumpkin seeds: every morning before she goes to the gym, she eats raw pumpkin seeds. she once ate these as her meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for one day because she loves them that much. if you took her to a pumpkin patch, she'd probably rip a pumpkin open and eat the seeds from out of it. that's how much she loves them. her friends sometimes think it's strange, but them they remember that this is the girl that once ate vaseline like jello and they leave her alone.

―timberlands: she owns one to many pairs and wears them with almost every outfit. soyeon's mindset is if they take her heels away from her at least she can rock her damn timberlands. she owns five pairs in all different colors; hot pink, black, the original, blue, and maroon. don't ask her why she loves the shoe brand so much, she just does.

―dying her hair every color of the goddamn rainbow: pink, grey, lavender, green, blond, you name it, her hair was that color. she thinks that it's boring to just have your hair as one color so why not have it as everyone color. she's been begging her hair dresser to dye it rainbow but since she thinks it'll break her hair off, she keeps telling her no.

―strawberry flavored things: if it says "artificial strawberry flavoring" on it, you bet your ass that's she is buying it. she's convinced that since her parents used to feed her strawberries like if was the only thing that would keep her alive, that's why she loves them so much, but it's really just because she thinks strawberries look cute.

―the smell of soap: just like jungkook, she's sensitive to smells so soap is the only thing that doesn't make her stomach churn just by smelling it. that's about it for this one.

―extremely sour things: it's weird, and call her a sadist but she's absolutely in love with that burning feeling that takes over your tongue while you are eating something extremely sour. she's gotten "burned" from it before and her tongue began to bleed (to which she had to be rushed to the hospital because of her, you know, bleeding disorder). she may be a little insane when it comes to sour candies so most people try to keep her away from these things.

―greasy foods: they make her extremely sick for some odd reason. whenever anything with grease hits her tongue, she immediately vomits. but besides, it's not even like she's aloud to eat greasy things anyways (1. because she's vegan and 2. because she's always on a strict diet).

―when people make fun of her accent: she has a strong busan dialect since her father taught her like that, and there's not much that she can do about that, but people still make fun of her for it as it's not common. seoul accents are much more common than busan accents by far so when people hear it they immediately giggle and say it's cute, but for some odd reason that bothers soyeon. it's just her way of speaking and when people poke fun at it, she'll get quiet and scrunch her face up.

―cinnamon: sHE IS EXTREMELY FUCKING ALLERGIC TO CINNAMON AND WILL PROBABLY DIE IF SOMEONE FEEDS IT TO HER. she found this out the hard way when she was seven after she ate cinnamon apple sauce at school and had to be rushed to the hospital because she passed out only to then break out in hives, then began puking in her sleep state. so yeah, she fucking hates cinnamon.

―the smell of cologne: she thinks only sleazy assholes wear cologne. and because the smell of it makes her feel sick (as you've seen she's very sensitive to smells). even strong scented shampoos, candles, and hair products make her literally curl up in a ball and die.

―pick up lines: she doesn't like greasy things and these fall into the same category.

―alcohol, drugs, and all associated acts: soyeon has an extreme fear of being out of her own body. not being in control of what she is doing or who she is with genuinely frightens her and causes her lots, and lots of stress. she even is afraid of taking medicine when she is sick in fear of getting high off of it. this often leads her to being sick for long periods of time because she doesn't want to take medicine. she can't even be around alcohol because she'll get nauseated and if you take her to a bar, she'll probably faint.

―cigarettes: the smell is what bothers her the most. again, she's sensitive to smells so of course the smell of cigarettes would bother her to the utmost extreme. it makes her skin tingle for some odd reason and she'll scrunch up her face when it even is in her general vicinity.

⇝first impression of each other; namjoon first saw her as the girl who was always smiling, didn't speak but was extremely pleasing to the eye. due to the fact that she was standing in the back trying to help out one of the other girls who was freaking out cause bts, he couldn't see her that well but due to her booming grey eyes his eyes couldn't help but be drawn to her. soyeon was occupied so she wasn't able to turn her attention fully to him, but when she did boy was she flustered. he seemed to be much more attractive in real life than in photos, and the fact that he was looking right at her didn't help whatsoever. she just looked back at him like "can you please stop staring at me, i'm dying inside."

⇝how he acts around her; like a mama bear just trying to protect his baby bear. he's seen her around her friends acting like this warm girl, but he only knows this is the giddy version of her. and he can't but feel happy about that. that he has the ability to transform this girl into such a heep of goop brings him actual joy. he's usually the one holding her, and hugging her until she pops. he gets this confidence around her that isn't like rapper confidence, or stage confidence, but this strange one that he can only show around her. no one else can see this side of him. not even his family had ever seen him like it. together their both heeps of goop, and it's adorable.

⇝how she acts around him; she basically just smiles at a lot when around him. just this big, chubby cheeked show of affection and she just stays like that. she finds herself being very giddy around him, almost like a schoolgirl with a crush on her algebra teacher. though she tries to still act like the true soyeon that everyone knows and loves, she can't help but become this whole new level of herself around him. in his presence, she'll just listen to him talk about all this concerns for hours and not say a word. she just loves being around him that much. she'll go from one level of charming to this aeygo filled machine that can't help but pump out the word oppa and smile like a fool. though she's not the one usually initiating the skinship, she'll gladly take it.
