Friday Night:
<--Aetherhunting, about 2 hours in, helping Olethea reach demi-goddess! Kreon had to leave because a Viravain order mob was at the temple--

Your mind locks down as another's thoughts take hold. All you hear is Akuuko's terrified breathing, and you realize that he has suddenly awoken. As your mind connects to his, you feel trapped, so trapped, so scared, with very little air left. You wish that you could sleep away this nightmare, and tears stream down your face.

Eyes widening, you whisper, "Oh....!"

Your melodic voice sings into Shadow Witch Kreon Zayah, the Blood Rose's mind, "Miss Kreon! Miss Kreon!"

Caressing your ear, the voice of Kreon whispers, "Yes my dear."

There is darkness, barely pierced by the foggiest of light before you; as though you were standing in a shrouded mist that the sun were feebly attempting to breach. There are voices around, you talking, but no more than the faintest of murmuring whispers that are infuriatingly out of reach. You scream and feel the bindings around you constrict, nearly choking the precious breath from your lungs as you perform this only piece of feeble resistance left to you.

You sway anxiously in your spot.

Courtyard before a vine-covered temple.
The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. The area opens into a spacious courtyard, offering views of the twisting vines that grapple up along the smooth temple walls. Symmetrical plantings and raised stone beds define the space, the dark, glossy leaves of various flora straining against their rigid containers. Pathways of glistening onyx run between the beds, delineated by perfectly manicured hedges, which further distinguish this formal space from the rest of the gardens. Heavy benches of iron spaced equidistantly allow for quiet conversation or solitary reflection. A glimmering web of iridescent hues stretches along the temple wall here. A black direwolf is here blending in with the shadows, its massive ebon wings folded at rest. A leopard lurks in the shadows, curiously watching anything that moves. Lady Aleyah Shee-Slaugh stands here within the pulsating thrumming of the Dark Heart's power. She wields a diamond and onyx violin in her left hand.
You see exits leading southeast and southwest.

You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.

Aleyah nods her head emphatically.

You fret over everything that might go wrong.

Taking to the air with a few dedicated flaps of her wings, Aleyah flutters close to you and leaves an affectionate kiss upon your brow.

Faintly buzzing, you ask, "Is it working?"

Aleyah nods her head emphatically.

Lady Aleyah Shee-Slaugh says, "The webs seem to be burning away."

With a wistful look on her face, Aleyah touches a shimmering web.
Aleyah reaches out and touches a shimmering web as hundreds of tiny spiders draw her into the spider's lair.

You have emoted: Gurashi wrings all four of their hands together, eyes widening.

You think to yourself: *burning away?*.

Ilistala, an enormous leopard tilts her head curiously at you.

You have emoted: Gurashi clings to a crutch-staff bearing praises to the Lord, Lady, and Neither, covered in webs with all four of their hands, eyes wide.

You yell, "Akuuko!!"

You flail about helplessly.

You think to yourself: Is enough?

You have emoted: Gurashi starts to step towards a shadowcatcher web, then stops themselves, turning and pacing instead.

Suddenly, through the misted darkness you feel a familiar presence. A voice you haven't heard since you were perched on the windowsill of the tower, watching them sleep. Kid? Kid! You make to yell and struggle, but the silk steals your air before you can and painfully twists and tears at your skin. Your psionics warped and pressed in on all sides, you feel even more alone than you had before.

You have emoted: Gurashi covers their beak with their hands, shaking their head. "Oh - no...!"

You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.

Chittering weakly, you whisper, "Suppressing ..."

The melodious voice of Aleyah resonates in your mind, "He must be scared... but I think you helped. I'll try to calm him, and help him to breathe while the webs burn."

Ilistala, an enormous leopard tilts her head curiously at you.
You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly lifts their head, antennae sagging as they narrow their eyes.

You yell, "Can still hear me?! Will get you out very soon, yes! I promise! Please be brave!"

You think to yourself: Cannot tell anybody.

You think to yourself: What am supposed to do?

You have emoted: Gurashi's arms drop their sides again, and at last they look at Xenthos, frowning.

Faintly buzzing, you whisper, "Can -feel- him."

Xenthos tilts his head and listens intently to you.

Mandibles clicking anxiously, you whisper, "Inside the c...cocoon."

Faintly buzzing, you whisper, "He cannot -breathe- and does not understand what is going on - is like I can... feel his feelings."

Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Have the roses helped?"

You have emoted: Gurashi shifts in their spot. "He is very confused and frightened and rightfully so." Their shoulders sag, miserable. "They are burning the webs apparently - but they are not helping his fear."

Pained, you say, "He -heard- me."

Faintly buzzing, you say, "He knew was me."

Faintly buzzing, you say, "He knows is me ..."

You sway anxiously in your spot.

Faintly buzzing, you say, "... at least one person has figured out that I know -where- he is... or was... " They shake their head. "But I have been... mmf."

Urgently, you say to Xenthos, "I would not want to feel that way."

Faintly buzzing, you say to Xenthos, "Wrapped up and confused and scared like that."

You shake your head.

Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "But you said he heard you?"

Faintly buzzing, you say, "He heard me - and then something -happened-."

You shiver violently.

Softly, you say, "Something made my psionics get weaker and his get weaker too... h-he's telepath - like Tridemon."

You think to yourself: Alone.

Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "It seems that only those who have submitted to Her will can get in to talk to him directly... but there is nothing that stops you from thinking to him, to tell him that he is not alone. Continue to gather roses, and bring them to Aleyah."

You glance askance.

Lady Aleyah Shee-Slaugh smiles and says, "I think the fire's coming from him."

Taking to the air with a few dedicated flaps of her wings, Aleyah flutters close to you and leaves an affectionate kiss upon your brow.
