about 9 months ago i made this post regarding the banout thing that was going on a while back and a bunch has happened since then. our tumblr got banned, cringeanarchy got quarantined and then banned, and a bunch of other smaller subs got banned too. i didn't think the admins would go after t_d but it looks like they're ready to have that fight, as they quarantined t_d earlier today.

as we all know, pretty much every sub that gets quarantined eventually gets banned, and the whole reason the admins do that is because it creates the illusion that they want to "work" with the offending sub to ensure that sub can remain on reddit. in reality i suspect that the real reason for a quarantine is so reddit can signal to allied users with burner accounts to flood the sub with false flag comments calling for violence, or to piss off the userbase of that sub badly enough that at least some of the normal users get upset and say dumb things that gets the sub banned.

you can call that tinfoil hattery if you want, but that's almost exactly what happened to cringeanarchy. new mods were instated and a bunch of new users showed up out of nowhere and the offending comments actually went up despite the old guard mods actually bending the knee. hmmm...

now normally i wouldn't think this would affect us since our sub has always been small and flown under the radar, but there's been a few recent developments that have made me rethink that. firstly our subscriber count has skyrocketed over the past few weeks (welcome frens). secondly, we've gotten the attention of the reddit eye of sauron (certain prominent lefty brigade subs).

what does this mean? the admins basically use the lefty brigade subs as attack dogs against subs they don't like and being on their radar means they'll probably come for us sooner or later. worst case scenario is that our days as a sub are numbered and we either get quarantined and banned or just banned without warning. best case scenario is the admins stop all this nonsense for no discernible reason and leave us to shitpost in peace. you can guess which outcome i think is more likely.

so what will we do? some of ya'll probably aren't particularly attached to this sub and just come here for memes and to call each other 'faggot nigger jews' without being banned, and that's perfectly fine. but some of you have been around for a while and kinda like us even though we're assholes and so are all of you, and that's even better. in the interest of sticking around i'll lay some things out.

    don't make calls for violence. edgy posts like that aren't fucking funny anyway so you just come across as a tryhard retard.

    if you see a comment or post calling for violence report it. we've never had a problem with this anyway so i suspect if it pops up out of the blue it's some faggot fed or admin's pet false flagging trying to get our sub in hot water.
