  1. “Bon-Bon, we’re home!”, Freddy yelled.
  2. “It feels good to be back, doesn’t it?” Bonnie asked. “Sure does. I’m pooped!’
  3. “Then why don’t the two of us get some shuteye?”
  4. “Sounds good to me.” Freddy stood in the corner of the utility closet, and began to shut down. They spent the day performing at a birthday party. There was no Baby. No Ballora. Not even Foxy. Just the two of them, celebrating Wendell’s 8th year of living. What a day…
  5.
  6. He leaned forward a little, and felt something slosh around inside of him.
  7. “Hmm…”
  8. “What’s wrong, Freddy?”
  9. “My insides feel a little goopy.”
  10. “Maybe it was that pizza they put in your mouth.”
  11. “Nah, this is different.”
  12. “Well, why don’t you open up and see what’s in there?”
  13. “Good idea!’, Freddy exclaimed.
  14.
  15. Freddy used his one hand to open up his chest door, exposing the pulsating, vibrating metal container within. He felt around the edges for something to grab, and eventually flung it open. A very withered looking corpse fell out, drenched in blood. The body was still attached to Freddy’s innards; prehensile wires from the inner container had latched onto his head and back.
  16.
  17. They stared at the child’s corpse in silence, until Bonnie spoke.
  18.
  19. “That isn’t…”
  20. “Nope”, Freddy said flatly. The party hat. The face paint. The cake around the edges of his mouth. It was Wendell. He had gotten his face painted to look just like Freddy. Some wires were still connected to his body, pumping blood from him like giant leeches. The cold, blue eyes were unmistakably Wendell’s.
  21.
  22. “What do we do?”, Bonnie asked.
  23. “I guess we put him back together.”
  24.
  25.
  26. Freddy removed all the wires from the child’s body, and dragged him to the Parts and Service room by the arm. Once inside, Bonnie detached herself from his right hand, and started to crawl around the room. While she was searching the floor, Freddy scanned the tables and shelves for anything potentially useful. After five minutes, the two regrouped.
  27.
  28. “Found anything, Freddy?”
  29. “I found this helmet,” Freddy said as he held out what looked like the head of an animatronic chicken. “But it’s kinda squishy, it doesn’t come apart very easily.”
  30. “Well, I found this weird thing in the back. Follow me.”
  31.
  32. Freddy walked behind Bonnie, as she pushed herself forward towards the very back of the room. Nestled in a corner of the room was something that slightly resembled Freddy Fazbear. It had a tie, and smooth animatronic joints. The similarities ended there. It was gunmetal grey, and not at all Funtime Friendly.
  33.
  34. “Wow,” Freddy said. “This is perfect for him.”
  35.
  36. The machine had no head. Instead, it had a set of jagged horizontal jaws, which were slightly ajar to reveal the darkness within the suit. The animatronic’s arms were just like Freddy’s, but it had no hands. The stumps looked like nozzles, being concave and lined with slits. As Freddy opened the jaws with his free hand, he saw that the robot was mostly hollow. Aside from a few pieces of metal on the inside.
  37.
  38. “It’s perfect”, Bonnie said. “Let’s put him in.”
  39.
  40. “Wait,” Freddy said. “There’s something in here.” Freddy reached in, and found a flesh-covered skull. With a tug, he pulled it out, along with a spinal cord that was connected to some funny looking wires.
  41.
  42. Freddy slipped the child into the suit with minimal effort. When the child’s feet reached the bottom, the jaws slammed shut with a loud echo. Muffled screaming and the sounds of shifting metal could be faintly heard, but the machine did not move for a few seconds. Not until a weird liquid started dripping out of the machine’s stumps.
  43.
  44. Frightened, Freddy stepped back from the beast. The liquid ignited into a flame, as twin jets of fire flared out from the flamethrower nozzles on each hand, then faded into smoke as swiftly as they had arrived. The jaws opened to reveal a pale face peering up at Freddy.
  45.
  46. Much of it was infused with metal wiring. The blue eyes were gone; glassy amber-colored eyeballs were forced into the socket, leaving a circle of red around them. The jaws were completely ravaged, with the cheeks being bored into and connected to each other. It was Wendell no longer.
  47.
  48. “WUR EM I?”, the robot asked. Its voice was a deep monotone.
  49. “You’re at Afton Robotics,” Bonnie said.
  50. “WHEN?”
  51. “It’s your birthday, silly.”
  52. “BERFDAY?”
  53. “Yes, you had a birthday.”
  54. “DID I?”
  55. “Yes. You just turned eight."
  56. "I AM NOT ATE."
  57. "You are, though. You're Wendell.
  58. “I AM NOT YENNDO”, the machine said.
  59. “Then who are you?”, Bonnie asked.
  60. "CAN'T REMUMBUR. TOO MENNY MEMURIES. I REMUMBUR YU. I REMEMBER ANOTHER ONE, WITH NO YU. I AM NOT YENNDO."
  61. "Who are you, then?"
  62. “NOT YENNDO.” The machine repeated. “GHOST IN SIS-STEM KNOT YENNDO,” it screamed as it raised its nozzles.
  63. “WE NOT YENNDO,” it said, as the mechanical jaws slid open. It angled the nozzles into it’s mouth.
  64.
  65. Smoke began to rise from the machine’s jaws, as flame burst into the machine’s body, and the smell of burnt flesh filled the air.
  66.
  67. “NEVER YENNdo…”
  68. The voice faded, and the robot fell to the ground.
